5.0 / 10.0
The location of the property is excellent and there are no issues with access for people and cars, and there is safe off-road parking.
The living area is spacious and comfortable.
Overall the bedlinen and towels are of a high standard, the beds comfortable and the house very clean.
The en-suite bathroom is very outdated; the shower has low pressure and it is very hard to control the temperature. There was no plug for the basin.
The bottom floor “bathroom” is not a bathroom, it is a shower and toilet housed in a laundry room. The basin is in fact a laundry sink. The light switch is dangerous: it is covered by black insulating tape so it is obvious that the problem was known prior to our arrival. The shower worked well.
We were advised before arrival (and offered a full refund but with insufficient notice to make alternative arrangements) that the toilet cistern was non-functioning and in effect, until replacement at the end of our stay, we only had one toilet for four guests.
On our last day without consulting us the letting agent allowed a plumbing company to enter the house unaccompanied to replace the cistern. This is unacceptable.
The bedrooms are sparsely furnished with very limited storage space, no bedside lights.
The house appears to us tired and dated. More effort could be made to deal immediately with some of the points we have made here - and they should not be news to the owner and agent as we see that recent reviews on booking.com have referred to them already. There appears to be a lack of care and concern for the comfort of guests.

Amazing view from the house, the location was perfect, and the house was clean and tidy.
The noise coming out of the attached bathroom tap.

Lots of natural light. Great views. Good sized living area. Deck with bbq was useful. Plenty of room to park several cars, off-street. Good location - about 1 minutes (though steep) walk to a small protected cove suitable for swimming, some other lovely beaches within 10 minutes walk.
The room with the bunk beds in it had very uncomfortable mattresses, not suitable for even light-weight adults. The twin room was a bit cramped - suitable for a couple of kids who get on well, but not that great for adults. There was an intermittent smell of blocked drains near the lower floor lounge area. Though there are two bathrooms, one is an ensuite, so most of the guests end up sharing one bathroom, which combines toilet, shower and laundry.

Cosy beach house in a fantastic location
8.0 / 10.0
Excellent views from the house.
6.0 / 10.0
Location including views
No working stove, no deck furniture ( until we phoned and complained), no hot water tap in kitchen sink ( fixed after complaint)
Generally a great property marred by minor fixable issues. Could be a luxury stay but instead just an enjoyable one.

Gorgeous place to stay . Great location with beautiful views . Kids loved the fishing .
Nothing really . Place was well taken care of and beautifully clean . Internal staircase a bit steep but that was the only thing that I could say was a bit of an issue with the kids . Stairs seemed to be very narrow and close together .
