We were travelling around California with family and wanted to book something closer to a Yosemite park. This location was perfect. Pine Mountain area is beautiful and the lake is amazing.
The house was easy to find and we loved it a lot. Everything was clean and comfortable.
Check in was easy.
Wish the check out was a bit later at 11:00;)

PROS:
*Beautiful neighborhood
*Rustic feel
*Nicely decorated
*Kitchen has utensils, dishes, pots/pans, baking sheets, mixing bowls and various other kitchen items.
*Switches are marked as to what they are
*Toiletries were provided.
*Lock box was easy to use and contained the keys - we took keys with us, we didn't leave in the box.
*Lots of various wildlife!
*Checked in at the security gate easily and attendant was exceptionally nice.
*The grill cooked up an excellent dinner!!!
CONS:
*Deeper cleaning is needed - dust is on everything!
*Cobbwebs are very present everywhere outside and inside the cabin, even attached to the upstairs TV and on kitchen counters!
*Railing along the staircase needs repairs - loose and wobbly, may want to use caution when using the stairs.
*There is a cleaning sponge but no dishcloths - which I prefer, so you may want to bring your own.
*Dishwashing packets were provided but there wasn't a dishwasher - that left me scratching my head?
*Floors were dirty, really dirty and you are asked not to wear shoes.
*The fan and it's light in the south bedroom upstairs went out on the second day, the lamp on the table still worked though so we didn't freat over it. CS was notified of the issue.
*While we didn't mind an unfinished basement/lower room per se, we don't think it would be wise to use in the winter. The wasn't really a door frame downstairs it was just "wedged in".
*Propane tanks for the grill were pretty much empty, we used what little was left in the one tank for one of our dinners.
*There was no guest book to sign and no instructions on how to operate the AC or troubleshoot any issues.

Location is good
We had a great expectation of the facility but for the location, building and cleanliness, the guests have to be careful of the facility's "functioning" amenities - lighting, electricity and hot water (especially in winter months)- please make sure on your arrival and every morning and late afternoon so that you may get some one to show up to fix (good luck) - this is a remote beautiful small town and we realized that it is difficult to get any repairs over the holidays before you head to see the Yosemite (purpose of this trip) or after you return early around 6pm from the Yosemite to the facility.
The management of the facility is operated remotely and for our grievances that there is (1) no electricity in the living room and kitchen of on the arrival day/night - the response arrived after passing all night into late morning with out electricity; (2) only tepid water on day 2 and no hot water on day 3 of the 3 days' stay - we could not it rectified to get hot water in time before we have to leave the facility without taking showers.
The remote customer service staff are attentive, listen and respond quickly but they are helpless.

Great location. Cool inside even in hot weather.
Nothing really. Some quirky light switch locations.
