We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place - the scenery and area were amazing. We could not have had better hosts than Alain and Carolyne, who worked very hard at ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. We are looking forward to returning soon.

This property was a great place for our family of 6 to get together. We came from three different locations for our family reunion. Enjoyed husky Mushing the Spa and we did get a peek of a Northern Light ( not lights). The house is well equipped and our Host was Super. Thank you All and Carolyne for a wonderful week, and accommodating us so our family could all be together.

This place was everything we had hoped for and more. Lots of room. Beautiful inside and out. Well furnished with all necessary amenities supplied. My son had a medical emergency our first night there and Al was very helpful and compassionate. Gave us their landline to call an ambulance, talked with 911 operator, waited outside to guide the ambulance, and left us a landline phone for the week in case we needed it. (Cell phone was spotty). He was great and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Answered any questions I had about the area, gave us suggestions…. Just amazing. Other than that, like I said the accommodation is perfect. You should not hesitate renting this place. You will not be disappointed!!

The lodge is gorgeous, the surrounding area is breathtaking and Al is a delightful host. We were so lucky that we were able to stay at the Cranberry Lodge. It's well-equipped with thoughtful amenities. Although it would have been helpful to have a rental car, we enjoyed walking to Scout Lake and relaxing in the hot tub and grounds.

We stayed with Al and Carolyne in August 2023. Their guest home was immediately kept and has everything you need and more! Considering we drove from Edmonton, it is a quick drive to wherever want to go to see the sites the Yukon has to offer and then enjoy a soak in the hot tub at the end of the day.
It was wonderful to have main floor bedroom for my mom who has arthritis and has a hard time walking up and down the stairs.
I would highly recommend your next stay be a Cranberry Lodge!

We used Alains property mainly in the hope of seeing the Lights. We were not disappointed with two showings within the week.
The property had three good sized rooms for six people to enjoy with space, good kitchen dining room and chairs.
Hot tub was a bonus, though a little too much on the chemicals by the hot tub guy, and plenty of firewood for the fire pit.
Nice and clean, lots of heat.
The TV area was away in a corner and that suited us as we were more into chatting with friends and playing board games etc round the dining table.
We really enjoyed the vacation, and lots to do in winter in Whitehorse

Cranberry Lodge offers an exceptional experience, with perfect hosts who offer friendliness, warmth, clear directions, responsiveness and invaluable advice.
The lodge's location in the serene Ibex valley offers breathtaking views and is an ideal spot for viewing the Northern Lights, plus it's only a short drive from the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs.
The lodge itself is spacious, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, with an incredibly well equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, comfy beds and well-stocked bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need: plenty of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, coffee maker, etc There are even books, games, TV with Netflix and strong WIFI -- for the long winter nights.
The outdoor space includes an amazing hot tub, fire-pit, snowshoes, sleds, and a playground area.
Overall, Cranberry Lodge is highly recommended for anyone seeking a cozy, comfortable, and unforgettable vacation rental experience.

Lovely property and well equipped. We wanted to stay outside of Whitehorse, and this fit the bill perfectly. A car is absolutely necessary, and everything is roughly a 30 minute drive. There is a lot to do in the area, and we were out and about most of the time. We would love to go back in the summertime too. Great vacation, and wonderful to escape to a slower pace.

My best friends and I all did a college reunion at Al's cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin was a perfect place to hideaway from the world for a few days and enjoy the wilderness. Al was kind and thoughtful host.

Cranberry Lodge was a great experience. The lodge is very spacious and can accommodate a group of 7 people. The property has all the amenities that you need and more. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t stay any other place while in Whitehorse. The views are exceptional.

Alain provided an excellent experience for our family of five. He was able to answer all our questions about the home and local sights in a knowledgeable manner. This was truly a home away from home. Thank you!

Our stay in the country in a log cabin was wonderful.
The cabin is very well equipped with everything one would need. The quite tranquil setting is amazing. Yet still located close to Whitehorse and other amenities. Alain was wonderful to deal with .

Our group of four older adults chose this property for our northern adventure. This lovely log guest house is beautifully maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our hosts, Al and Carolyne could not be more hospitable. They were very helpful with every aspect of our stay, providing solicited advice on the many sights and activities that the area has to offer. The activities we chose certainly didn’t disappoint!
If we ever return to the Yukon, we will definitely stay at the Cranberry Lodge again!
Thank you, Al and Carolyne for a most wonderful vacation!

This lodge is so beautiful! It’s close enough to Whitehorse so you can pop into town when needed but far enough away that you feel you’re out in the wilderness alone! The place is huge so we had plenty of room for 4 of us and Alain answer our (many) questions quickly and very helpfully. We’d definitely stay again if we were back!

Words cannot describe how truly amazing this cabin and property are.
The cabin is stunning and fully equipped with all the comforts of home.
It was clean, comfortable and spacious.
The hot tub was fantastic and we really enjoyed looking up at the stars.
The outdoor fire pit was also a fantastic feature. The owners were hospitable and we enjoyed getting to know them. We 100% recommended this property.

We (group of 4 friends) had the most incredible time staying at Alain and Carolyn's beautiful home, and genuinely couldn't even find fault if we tried! Alain was very communicative pre-trip about instructions to get there and what to expect, and the property is located really well - easy to drive to from Whitehorse, yet far enough away from the light pollution to see the Northern lights. They were also very helpful during our stay if we needed them, but kept out of the way as well.
The place is very well stocked, and the kitchen had everything you could need - we cooked a full thanksgiving dinner here! The beds were also comfy and we had plenty of towels, with toiletries also included which was a nice touch. The place itself was extremely clean as well. And we loved all the artwork!
We enjoyed the hot tub everyday and on our last night were lucky enough to see the most incredible view of the northern lights directly from the cabin! We all agreed that this was one of the best vacation properties we've ever stayed at.

This property is terrific for a mini break from Whitehorse or for visitors to Yukon.
There is lots of space for a family or group and many activities on the property to keep everyone entertained. Our girls (2, 5) loved using the playground equipment and trampoline, as well as roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, and we loved using the hot tub after they went to sleep! There is a beautiful lake (Scout Lake) just a short drive down a dirt road, where kids can splash on some sandy shores and you can watch the fish jump and the loons call. There is also a family-friendly or beginner's hike (1.5 hours, moderate incline) with views of the Ibex Valley and a beautiful rock canyon (Spirit Canyon) conveniently located a short drive from the lodge.
The property is joined to the host/caretaker's home but they are very discrete and give lots of space to guests. The hosts, Alain and Carolyne, were very attentive to details; they installed baby gates prior to our arrival as well as provided use of a high chair and bath toys (and crib if we had needed).
If you are looking for a quiet retreat where you can actually hear the sounds of nature (as opposed to a noisy campground), this place is ideal. And, you also have the modern comforts of home. It was great to have wifi to watch a Euro Cup game or occupy the kids, lots of fresh towels and a well-appointed kitchen to prepare meals. Perfect to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck while looking out at a field of fireweed.

I'm a local, so this was the perfect location to get out of town. Quick drive, easy to get to but feels like you are far. It is a gorgeous property, beautiful well appointed house (including kitchen) and cozy couches for reading. It would be a really nice place to bring visiting family or to go with friends. We brought 2 children who had lots and lots of fun. Hosts were nice, answered questions, were welcoming and gave us space. Would recommend.

This was my third time going to this property - that's how amazing it is! It is super clean and well equipped. The property manager was super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend, even if you just want a nice little staycation get away.

A well equipped log home with all of the amenities and very private. Hosts were respectful of our privacy but available if needed.

We had such a great little Mom’s get-a-way weekend out at Alain and Caroline’s lodge. Perfect for small yukon staycations as it’s close to Whitehorse (about 20ish mins). Alain was there to great us and give us the lay down of the place, accommodated our last minute requests and was around if we needed him for anything but gave us the privacy we wanted. The lodge itself is in immaculate condition, super clean and was full amenities like a large fridge with a freezer that has an ice machine, lots of beds and seating, lots of kitchen gadgets that you may need (seriously we felt like they had more there than we did at home), plenty of dishware/cookware and the lot! They no longer provide stocked breakfast food or full condiments like we read they did but some butter, sugar etc was still provided. There was a nice outdoor table/seating area and the hot tub was lovely (would fit four fine). We didn’t make use of the nice bonfire area but they had wood and such set aside in case we wanted to have one. A bit on the pricey side but we would go back again for sure (and indeed may try and make this a yearly thing :)). Although it was just us three ladies... we think it would also be suitable for a couple families to come out and enjoy the place....we would recommend to all!

We recently stayed at the Cranberry Lodge and it was fantastic. This property was outside of Whitehorse but close enough. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. There was great hiking close by. We would highly recommend this property. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Alain and Carolyn lodge. Everything was very well set-up and all attentions were there to ensure an awesome experience from fridge stocked with full breakfast needs to landing snowshoes.House is amazing and offers a perfect view to northern lights which you can also chose to watch from the hot tub.Highly recommand and we hope we'll be able to come back!
