Lake was amazing!!! We enjoyed listening to music on the beautiful 2 story dock. The kayaking was wonderful and the owners were lovely. They even washed clothes for us. Highly recommend. Will come back again.

We had a wonderful time staying here! Friendly hosts! The view was absolutely gorgeous on the lake and the fishing was fun! There is great places to eat close by. Frank was very hospitable and gave advise on fishing techniques and made sure we had everything we needed.would definitely stay here again!

We selected this property on its location and how it was away from the busy of Tampa. The cottage was perfect and the lake offered a great opportunity to relax after a busy week. Would choose it again if in Tampa.

The owners were very nice and attentive to our needs. It wasn’t as relaxing as we had hoped . The main house, the garages, and the cottage where we stayed got new roofs. Very noisy. The owners did the right thing and refunded our money for the 2 days the cottage roof was being replaced. We wish we could have spent more time on the property getting together for happy hour with Frank & Cherri.

My husband and I Love this place it was so Amazing. The Lake was Beautiful and he had a Great time catching the Bass fish even though he had to release it. It was such a Cute place and just perfect for the both of us. It was convenient to restaurants and Tampa Downs Racetrack. We hope to be back this summer or in the fall.

Visiting my friends in the area, I found this gem nearby. This cottage is at the end of a barn, home, and garage half-circle that is down a secluded street. Cherri provided me with all the information needed and quickly responded to any of my questions. With that info, I let myself into a cozy studio cottage with a welcome area. The kitchen was nice. No stove, but the supplied hot plate is more than enough for cooking on vacation, lol. The bed was a comfortable memory foam mattress and pillows with a 55-65" TV on the opposing wall. My favorite part of the bathroom was the shower. It was about 60" made of stone and tile. Definitely getting one for my home. To be honest, I never wanted to stay at a rental that was on the owner's property. I'm afraid I would feel like I'm invading their space. Because of Cherri's place, and now knowing what to look for, I'm pretty confident that won't happen. :) P.S. The only thing I didn't like was not having time to take advantage of the backyard amenities. This will be resolved the next time I visit the area. :)

The property was perfect for us! Exactly what we wanted! The cabin was private and clean. Although it's on the same property as the hosts' residence, you would never know it! We had full use if the dock for fishing or just sitting with our coffee in the morning. We caught a lot of fish!! It was exactly what we needed!

My wife and I needed a place to stay for the tail end of our trip and we decided to stay here. I’m familiar with the area since I relocated from here but I never knew about this hidden gem! It was a gorgeous property on the water, they had fishing rods and a nice deck set up to either cast some lines, enjoy coffee by the water in the morning, or even grill out and eat next to the lake. Cherri and her husband were amazing hosts and super responsive. 10/10 we would come again

This small cottage was perfect for our needs. It was located in between 2 different locations we were visiting and worked out beautifully. We were able to get Uber/Lyft whenever we needed it until we got our rental car. The location is nice and quiet and on a gorgeous lake, very peaceful to sit on the dock with coffee in the morning. The hosts are super responsive and very kind, they really seem to want to make your stay special. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again.

I wanted to take a quick trip for some bass fishing, canoeing, etc. The property is nice, dock is great for having drinks, property owners are great, and the lakes are great for canoeing.

Misleading description

Pros: Nice outside property, beautiful lake with comfortable seating area on dock. Convenient location feels like the country but close to everything. Cons: Not quite lakefront and not much a view from the cottage (can't see through the windows), no hot water in kitchen making clean up after a meal difficult, no local tv stations (never did find HBO). Be sure to take your own water, the well water is really bad.

The cottage was perfect!

We had a great 2 night stay at the cottage. The place was very clean and came equipped with everything needed. Unfortunately we had some rain and were unable to use the canoe or kayaks but the dock and the view of the lake was great! I did manage to catch a bass with the fishing gear that was provided. We took a ride to Tarpin Springs one day which was very nice. The owners were great, we will hopefully return in the future! Thank you!

Such a cute cottage, beautiful property, and lake! Definitely was relaxing! Enjoyed having drinks on their sun deck and fishing on their fishing dock with my hubby. Next time we would love to get out on that beautiful lake and use their kayaks that they have provided for guests. They provided Complimentary Wine, Large Gallon Size Water Bottle, Kcups Coffee for us also. Thank you for such a very nice and relaxing stay!

We had a lovely time at the cottage canoeing on the lakes and having lunch on the awesome dock. What we liked: cute cottage, comfortable bed, fresh flowers, opportunities for boating and wildlife viewing on beautiful lake, fantastic docks, nice hosts. Areas for improvement: smelly water, entry door issues, no screens on windows, dirty windows, stained lounge chair, outdated information. Unfortunately we were met with an offensive odor when we first entered the unit that seemed to be a mix of mildew and sulfury water. We went to open the windows but found that they were dirty and had no screens. Given the number of squirrels and lizards in their yard, we opted to keep them closed. The mosquitoes were not bad at all but we know from experience that a single mosquito can prevent a good nights sleep. To the hosts credit, they did refund us $50 and suggested they would try some fixes. We decided to keep the bathroom door closed and the smell in the room did improve, but the smell of the water never did. It’s not just a matter of getting used to well water—we have lived on well water for years at three different houses. We just dealt with it and had a lovely time regardless, but I do think people deserve a heads up before booking here. A water filtration system and screens on the windows to air out the space would definitely make this a 5 star lodging. Tips: the hosts give you a complimentary bottle of water and the rental agreement in the room says to let them know if you need more, but they just direct you to the grocery store. You need to pull the front door closed when using the keypad to lock and unlock in order for it to latch. When kayaking, if you’re a little adventurous, you can duck and go under the road to get to a third larger lake (wear a hat).

I was in the Tampa area to visit friends and wanted to stay somewhere that (1) had a view, (2) was reasonably close to downtown, and (3) provided quiet relaxation. Cherri and Frank's place exceeded all three requirements. First, the view is gorgeous. Sits right on a lake and has a dock and gazebo that you can kick back on from sunrise to sunset; but sunset was my favorite - took lots of great photos. Second, it's about a 25-minute drive to downtown Tampa, which met my needs perfectly for day visits to my friends. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Cherri and Frank will give you as much peace and quiet as you desire, although they are also right there should you need anything. The bed is very comfortable. The internet is excellent. The coffee and wine were an added bonus. Perfect place for a solo traveler.

This cottage was the perfect place for our honeymoon. We got the opportunity to take a canoe out on the lake and fish to our hearts content. The owners are sweet and exceptionally hospitable. Everything here was spotless and beautifully maintained. The brand new top level sunset deck exceeded our expectations and made the view that much more incredible!! I wish I could give this place 10 stars because they truly deserve it. 10/10 would stay here again!

Enjoyed a peaceful and quiet two night stay at the cottage. Beautiful location! Not far from the Bay and the beaches. Loved the time spent fishing at the lake. The property owners were extremely friendly. My wife and I enjoyed it so much as a Spring time stay-cation that we plan to come back in the Fall.
