About this house rental
This is a unique, secluded, humble and pet friendly beach house!
It is situated on a double property (huge garden) fully surrounded by casuarina trees, away from residential streets and perched on Broulee headland overlooking the ocean.
This is an original 1950's beach house with a slow combustion wood heater, a 6-burner Ilve stove+oven, air conditioning (main bedroom), a large Rennai gas heater, a large Sony smart TV, a big family fridge, dishwasher, and a washing machine and dryer.
It has views from the verandah and the kitchen to the north to Broulee bay. Three different beaches are within walking distance (100/150 meters). There are magical paths out the back gate through the bush to Shark Bay (150 meters), a secluded almost aquarium-like bay, a peninsula protected nature reserve (400 meters), and two surf beaches (south Broulee, 100 meters; north Broulee, 500 meters). Pink rocks (great surf spot) is a 15 minute walk along the beach. You'll have total silence except for the birds.
There are great cafes with fantastic coffee and breakfasts/lunches at Mossy Point 3 kms to the north (a 20 min walk along the beach). Amazing dining at The River Restaurant in Moruya 10kms to the south.
A beautiful 10km cycling track through the bush to the Moruya River, and 40km brand-new MTB tracks through Mogo Forest (15min drive). Narooma (45min) also has a fantastic network of brand-new MTB trails.

I loved the location and the property itself. A huge tree filled block with views overlooking North Broulee beach. A short bush walk down to shark bay and around to South Broulee.
Rick was also very helpful and responsive.

We really appreciated the hosts providing a later checkout, great local beaches, coffee place within walking distance away - enjoyed the 1950s beach house aesthetic - thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this headland beach house! Smooth communication with the host, huge safely fenced yard for our pup to roam in, and lovely be among the trees.

Up on the headland with very few neighbours (who were all both friendly and unobtrusive), this place was great for a week long relax. The huge deck offers a wonderful view of the waters off Broulee's main beach. Our host was a great communicator, offering us all the info we needed at the right time.

This house has a great atmosphere and location. The host is very communicative and helpful. We didn't want to leave and would love to go back!

The best thing was upstairs, the view, the birds and the garden. It was just having only one toilet downstairs and the actual downstairs area was very dark and cold. (a little scary for kids). We also forgot to bring bed linen and towels (which aren't included) which made things tough. But being a nature lover, I loved it. You'll just need to bring a lot of condiments etc. sauces, oil etc. And coffee, milk etc.

We loved this property. The block is huge with a big lawn shaded by casuarinas, great for lazing outside, admiring the view of the sea and playing with the dogs. The house is small but comfortable and nicely decorated. The location is unbeatable, close to the surf beach, the island and shark bay and a huge dog-friendly beach at South Broulee.

Enjoyed the sea breeze and being amongst the trees and birds out of the deck. Tracks around make it easy enough to explore.
Thanks for a great stay

Even better than last year. Choice of beaches, birds that call to you, water views from the expanded deck, and the surf club fish'n'chips'n'pizza now open just down the hill.

We loved our stay. The house is in a stunning location on the headland with loads of lovely walks all around. It is an older style beach house which we loved. A large garden and deck kept our dogs very happy. And the owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting
This property is located in a beautiful, tranquil spot on the headland. Beach views and lots of gorgeous birds/ wildlife. Amazing access to a range of beaches, bike paths and walks. Rick was an accomodating host, very responsive to feedback reading a dampness issue in the property after the all the rain in the region.

A bush and beach retreat in one
Brilliant location to beaches and with the bush right outside. Character that you'd expect from an older style beach house with creaky floors and tiny bedrooms. Lounge room really made for lounging, great windows and outlook upstairs. Delighted with the awesome downstairs storage for bikes and beach stuff, the living areas spacious and comfortable for the inevitable rainy day, ocean views and sound of waves at high tide. Kids captivated by the birds. Manager friendly, super responsive and helpful. Clean in the places that matter most. Easy to forget suburbia down the hill but good cafes not too far away

Great secluded spot
Fantastic location only minutes stroll from multiple beaches... Our family + dog had a great stay here. The house is in original condition but comfortable and has everything you need. We enjoyed using the fireplace in the backyard and also made use of the indoor fireplace on rainy nights. The checkin process and communication with Rick was a breeze.

Broulee Headland Beach House
Staying at this property is always excellent. Check in is never a problem and the owner Rick is always a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. The location is excellent and the house is well set up for a family and pets with a good size yard. It is comfortable in summer and cozy in the colder months with a very warm log heater. The house is close to all beaches ranging from calm bays to challenging surf conditions. Have stayed here a couple of times before and would definitely stay here again . Highly recommended- although you may have to book well in advance once travel restriction are lifted. Ben and Family

Perfect location adjacent to 3 different beaches. 5 min walk (max) to the main beach and rock pools and the others (dog beaches) 10 mins either side of that beach. I love my kitchen and Rick's property didn't disappoint. Huge fridge/freezer space, great oven/stove top and kitchen appliances. Everything else that mattered also supplied (sheets & towels extra). Internet wasn't but our wireless had no problems with connection. Stayed with a family of 4 and a small dog. The layout of the house was perfect. Kids downstairs, us up stairs in the main quarters. Fences solid for the dog and huge yard space for kids and dog to play. A beautiful deck to enjoy the views with lots of wild life. A very quite street no real neighbours in eye view, you mainly look out to nature. Honestly the photos don't do it justice. Everything was so much better. We will be back!

Comfortable stay on the headland
With only 14 houses on the headland this house is very quiet and private. Perfectly located for our family, thanks Rick!

Magic spot
We really enjoyed the rustic feel of the beach house and the location is VERY hard to beat. It's a bit of an off the grid experience and really feels like you're on holiday. The place isn't fancy, so if that's what you're looking for don't bother. The guy who owns it came to say Hello the first day and we bumped into him around town. He's super friendly and helpful and the locals were very friendly as well. A little slice of paradise...

Back in time...
It was like stepping back into the fifties staying at Rick’s lovely house on the headland - a very well equipped beach cottage in the bush, stunning beaches within walking distance, no passing traffic, bird song and butterflies, comfortable beds. Happiness all round. Thanks Rick!

We had a wonderful stay. My son called it the tree house. Lots of beautiful bird visits and easy access to three of the best beaches in the south coast including two beautiful look out spots a short walk from the house. Lots of time playing in the generous back yard. We brought a baby gate for our two year old and put a piece of furniture in front of the landing and it all worked really well. Look forward to getting back there. Also highly recommend the mossy point cafe.
