The place is down many steep steps into a ravine that is private and has no cars or street noise. You are surrounded by jungle/forest plants. The cabin in cute and well designed. You will feel like you are camping; it is rustic. The host and the family who live there were very kind and let us use the pool.
The beds were very uncomfortable. The next issue was the howling dogs, roosters, and other animal noises going all night (make sure to bring earplugs). Also, there were amenities listed that did not exist. There is no TV, no DVD player, the bathroom is not really attached (you have to go down some wobbly rocks to get to the toilet), it is not soundproof (open to all the sounds around) and there is no view (I consider a view to be a high point were you can see a distance, as I mentioned, this cabin in in a ravine so there is not much to see, except the trees around you). We also had trouble connecting a laptop to the wifi (although it did work for our phones). I mention all of this to help future guests decide if this is going to be a good place for their vacation.

The location in-between the trees is nice, the lodge is great, the owners are super friendly and caring. Really a nice place to stay!
There was an issue with one of the beds but the owners made good efforts to fix it, thank you!

Upon arrival, the hosts made us feel welcome and at home. They were helpful with local tips and tricks, such as telling about their favourite sunset beach bar where we enjoyed our first evening on Martinique or the nearby supermarket.
The eco lodge was nice and cosy. It was set on a ridge overseeing a lush and green valley. Every morning the birds came and visit us at breakfast and chirp good morning. The kitchen had a big fridge to store food and drinks.
The location of the lodge was fine in the hills above Fort de France. When discovering the island we would always drive in the opposite direction of the busy morning traffic into town.

Very unique place! The lodge is hidden in the wild forest on the hillside, close to the wild river. Surprisingly there weren't any mosquitoes! You must know, that access to the lodge is through 161 stair steps, so it's rather not suitable for disabled or elder people. The hosts are very kind and helpful. I will surely come back there if I am back to Martinique some day.
