The house was perfect for our needs. It was beautiful and well maintained. Colleen (the host) was very responsive to what we requested.Centrally located for skiing in Jack Frost and big boulder parks. The amenities in the Splitrock resort area are great too. We went bowling and there was a mini golf, indoor water park, sports courts etc. all less than 5 minutes away.We were a group of 14 people with ages ranging from 3 to 70 years old. The house had entertainment for everyone.

Had the best time with my family. House was all i could hope for.

We saw the colorful leaves and several deer around the house. Also wild turkeys. We had a great weeks staying at the house. Very comfortable beds, nice layout for large groups, fun games in the lower level. Lots of parking. Good location- several good restaurants close by. Enthusiastically recommend this house.

Clean property that looked just like the listing - perfect for a weekend getaway in the Poconos! Amenities were great and bedding/towels were perfect!
4.7
House was very nice, smaller than the pictures portrayed but very cute. House came with a roll of paper towels, a dish sponge, dish soap, a few dish towels, a few garbage bags and a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. So if you're staying with a group - bring your own, and bring bar soap for each bathroom/shower. We had a very nice time and this location was very convenient to everything we needed. Game room was fun, but video machine is very difficult to figure out (would suggest owners leave instructions). Would definitely recommend this house. We had 6 girls and it was perfect.

We had a wonderful time the house was great!!
The house was very clean and spacious, also all your immediate needs were provided. (Paper Towels, toilet paper, etc…)
The game room was a big plus. We would definitely rent this house again.

This is a great house for a family, we utilized everything in the house, the great game room, many hours spent playing in there, lots of fun for all ages. The furniture was comfortable especially the beds. We would definitely rent this house again. Well taken care of place, neat and clean.Kudos to the owners to knowing what will make the renters comfortable.

First week of august
House was nice and clean. We had a great stay luckily weather was cool no ac on first floor. Colleen from the management company was excellent. She responded immediately to a couple issues we had. She even came over with extra propane. And the deer came right up to us let us feed them out of our hand that was cool. Would stay here again

House was very clean and comfortable. Check-in was an issue, the key lock was supposed to be programmed with the last four digits of my phone number and it was not. Had to call the property manager, she had me try several more times and then eventually she called the property owner for an alternate code. It took about 20 minutes to finally get in. A few other issues: The air hockey table doesn't work; air comes out but not enough to make the puck float which is the whole point. They should not advertise having an air hockey table. The pool table was also disappointing because there was only one usable cue (and another that was broken), only a small sliver of broken chalk, and the triangle to rack the balls was broken and taped together but not functional...you can buy some cheap cues and new chalk/triangle for a few dollars so it's pretty disappointing that these are in such bad shape. Multiple lights throughout the house were burnt out...again this is a cheap fix so kind of ridiculous to not address it. With literally $100 investment in some minor improvements I would have had no zero complaints (other than the air hockey table which I didn't really care about but should not be advertised as an amenity). I would still recommend the house but just understand what you're getting.

My family and I rented this property during Covid, as we all needed a change of scenery and a break from the stress of life. We were a group of 8 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 infant. I felt the size was good for all of us. Any more adults though might have felt tight.
Pros:
1. Location: Off the beaten path. About a mile from the lake, so if you're looking for quiet, this place is.
2. Fire pit: Great for sitting out at night, just need to make sure to pick up firewood beforehand. 8 chairs available.
3. Pool table on the first floor was great for rainy days, although the Owner's need to purchase new pool sticks!
4. The main (2nd) floor is an open plan, so the kitchen dining and living area are all connected which is nice for big groups to all be together.
5. AC window units kept the house pretty cool.
6. Rooms and bathrooms were all cleaned very well.
7. Cute town area by the lake. Pretty quiet because of Covid. Every place required masks and most people abided by that rule.
Cons:
1. Air hockey table was not working properly. It turned on but the air wasn't coming out evenly. We were looking forward to using.
2. No grassy areas of yard, just rocks. We brought a lot of outdoor lawn games but had to either play on the rocks or not at all.
3. The first floor (not technically a basement but felt like one) was very musty even with a dehumidifer and fans running all the time.
4. The couch in the first floor was broken.
5. Bear in the area kept going into the garbage cans outside spilling garbage into the street.
6. Wasn't given passes to the private beach (at Spring Lake and Wood Street), which I was originally told by the Guest Contact was a public beach. However, the woman guarding the beach was friendly and let us in anyway. Very small beach area. Didn't attempt any boat/kayak/etc. rentals.

Nic property, poor communication
The property was as described and ultimately made for an enjoyable weekend getaway for our family. The property was clean, and we particularly enjoyed the family room with the air hockey table and pool table. The property lacked certain basic amenities that we’ve been accustomed to when renting such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, etc. It was easy enough to pick up at the local supermarket. I’m sure the listing company, Evolve, would have suggested that we reach out to the property manager but we had a negative experience with her and didn’t want it to further ruin our weekend. Communication was extremely lacking. I emailed a question prior to our stay. When I didn’t hear back I sent a message to Evolve and never heard back. I found the best way to contact the property manager was via text. We didn’t expect when we arrived in freezing temps that the fans would be on throughout the house and the heat would be turned off. Apparently this is common, but not ideal when arriving with young children. When I addressed that the property manager sounded rude she assured me it was the deep tone of her voice and to her credit did call the following day to check on us. We brought our own linens which was as expected as it was clearly stated that we needed to, but communication was lacking and Evolve could better serve its customers by being responsive and specific in what amenities are not included. Overall a good weekend but would be reluctant to book through Evolve in the future.

toilets, water
The water pressure was horrible. We were showering and the water was just trickling out. It completely turned off mid shower while someone was showering with soap all over their face. The toilets did not flush which made us put all used toilet paper in the trash which was very unsanitary. The water was completely off the morning of check out so we could not even wash our dishes or put the dishwasher on. Contacted the owners twice with no response. The house was beautiful but this water situation needs to be addressed. We had 10 people staying there, 2 of which were able to shower all weekend long. NOT ACCEPTABLE AND NO RESPONSE FROM OWNERS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE EITHER.

Nice Spot. Great House
We had a great time this past weekend at the cottage. The house was as advertised and Colleen was very helpful at checkin. We found the place very clean and updated with the living space and the deck being a great place to hang out. We would definitely come back here. Suggestion for owner: Put the bbq grill upstairs on the deck. It was a bit of an inconvenience to trek up and down the stairs to cook. Just a small note. We loved the place, hence the 5 star review.

Nice house, private neighborhood
We loved the few days we stayed at this house, it was clean and spacious, we seen lots of deer and a bear and 2 cubs, we weren’t able to swim at lake Harmony without badges and their wasn’t any at the house, their was a public pool within walking distance and hickory run park has a beautiful public swimming area located about 4 miles from the house, overall we loved the house and the location, very relaxing , we would come back in a heartbeat

Spartan weekend
This was a great place to be our homebase for our team to stay for CRCC's 4th year participating at the Spartan race. This place instantly felt like home. Very clean. We loved all of the art, the fire pit, king size bed, air jockey and pool table, raccoon , bear and deer visited us too. Thank you. We are thinking about a return trip. Do you book in winter months? Also we would like to return for next year's spartan weekend.

Amazing!
This place is astonishing! I had a wonderful time with my family! I have no complaints! Everything went smoothly. Ms Colleen (the cleaning service for this place) was very helpful. She made sure we had an amazing stay! I’m so glad I chose this beautiful home! My family even wants to plan another longer getaway to this home again. Thank you for providing great service and such a wonderful experience!
