Clean, as promised. Great location for the trains at Termini and visiting the sites in the city.

In our opinion we couldn't have had a better location. It was right on the Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore which is a relatively easy walk to the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Forum, etc. Also it was a very easy walk~400 meters to the Termini train station. Inside, the apartment was well appointed with very good air conditioning, two bathrooms, three spacious bedrooms, etc. Unfortunately, there were very few drinking glasses, only two wine glasses; however, at the same time there were more than a dozen espresso cups. The elevator is not too busy and is large enough for 3 people. Noise levels were okay. The cleaners did a very poor job of cleaning between tenants in the kitchen area. There was jam on the dining room table tablecloth and there were many crumbs on the dishes in the drawers. It would have been nice if tea towels and wash cloths for dishes were provided. Other cleaning was good. We never did meet the manager in person. All correspondence was by WhatsApp.

If you like staying in the heart of things, this is a great place. We enjoyed it very much.

We really enjoyed our stay! Apartment is clean, close to Rome Termini and easy to access. It’s on the 5th floor but there is a lift. Clean, nice and exactly as described. There were 6 adults in our party and had no issues. One bed is a double bed, but my daughter and I shared with no problems. We would definitely recommend this apartment and stay here again!

the owner would not give me the address until the last minute. When we arrived after a 5 hour drive , we found that he had given us an entirely different apartment! 2 bd and 1 bath rather than 3 bd and 2 baths. When I contacted him , he admitted this He has since deleted his email. 5 un related people in a tiny apartment with a one person expresso machine and one bath. I am outraged. 'I have used this site for years and have always had wonderful experiences. This is absolutely unbelievable. Beware !

Very clean, centrally located apartment in the heart of Rome. Close to everything including Termini train station and multiple Metro stations and bus routes. In a lively neighborhood with lots of food options and a supermarket across the street. Lorenzo was a great host. Great experience all around !

We had a great stay. It was a great location for our Rome stay. Very close to the train station but still close enough the Metro and the main tourist spots. It was a good fit for two couple and 17yr olds.

First positives: The location is very convenient to the train station. The flat was very clean. Beyond those aspects, we were disappointed. Beginning at check-in when rather than meeting the host Catia, there was a man named Alex that met us at the door. Perhaps our first impression might have been different meeting Catia (previous reviews indicate such). Alex led us up to the apartment gave a hastened tour, literally saying “bedroom bedroom bedroom bathroom bathroom” as we walked down the hall. He then pointed to the thermostat and said “don’t touch!” That was the extent of explaining the apartment. No explanation of how the induction cooking top worked, the electric mocha pot or the clothes washer. We arrived at our scheduled time, 15:30. The housekeeper was still working in the apartment. This itself didn’t concern us. What did concern us was that, Alex, after the brief tour and having us deposit all of our luggage near the kitchen, instructed us gruffly, “Now you must go! You must go now, and you can return in 30 minutes”. We felt very uncomfortable with this (leaving our luggage). He gave us a key and insisted we leave. Upon returning we found they had not left a second key. There were four adults in our party with differing plans. We contacted the host and asked for a second key. They replied there was no other key because “a guest last year lost it”. This is ridiculous! We had to significantly alter plans, timing our returns so that no one would be locked out!

Wonderfully located close to Roma Termini making it a perfect hub for our Rome sightseeing. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The apartment was clean and tidy and had all the amenities we required for our stay.
We would recommend the apartment, but if you’re sensitive to noise in the early hours of the morning, you may be disappointed! It really didn’t bother us though. We would gladly stay here again.

Perfect location as a base, flat with charm, the high ceilings and large rooms are top notch. The absolute cleanliness of this flat is worth an extra star.
Not entirely quiet at night and towards morning, so deep and peaceful sleep is out of the question.
Still highly recommended

Thanks to Catia and Alex for sharing their apt in Rome. The apt was clean and well maintained, plenty of space for the six of us, kitchen was handy for coffee and quick lunches. A bit noisy in the AM but you are in the city. Would definitely stay here again and learn the bus system to make touring a little easier. Great food, portions and staff at Birreria Marconi just around the corner to the left.

The apartment was fully represented in the listing and coffee was available in the kitchen. It is a nice functional space. We arrived rather late in the evening after a flight from Vienna. The host's son met us at the apartment and fully informed us how to navigate the apt. It is right across the street from the basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, which is a gorgeous building, don't miss it. The guide we had for a colosseum tour thinks it is the most beautiful of all the churches in Rome. The location is in a busy area but the street noise did not seem to bother us except for the clanging of glass early every AM when the restaurant below emptied the nights accumulation of wine bottles. Good apt for 4 adults willing to share bathrooms.
Communication thru VRBO app was not a plus and outside control by host. Expedia launched ONE KEY which totally hosed communication. Spent several hours over multiple days with tech support, issue was never resolved. We finally resorted to using WhatsApp which worked perfectly.

Very good sized apartment on 5th floor with lift. Very secure, lots of food nearby. Catia was very responsive. Only downside was noise at night.

My family and I really enjoyed our time together in this charming apartment in Historic Rome next to the beautiful Church of Santa Maria Maggiore. The three bedroom, two bathroom apartment was well equipped and wonderfully furnished. Our hosts were extremely helpful in getting us checked-in and oriented. They were always available for us if we had questions. Thank you Catia and Alex for making our stay in Rome so memorable.

Property was nice and clean. It is on an upper floor but there is a small elevator available. Air conditioning worked well and unit is stocked with all of the typical amenities.
Location is about 10 minutes walk to main train station which is nice for traveling between cities. It is quite far to other attractions in Rome so you'll likely want to take a taxi. The Coliseum is the closest at about 15 minutes walk.

My family of 4 enjoyed a short two-night stay at the apartment with very close proximity to walking many of the sites around Rome and a great neighborhood with cute restaurants.
8.0 / 10.0
The apartment is spacious, clean and the photos of the interior are accurate. Good hot water, air conditioning and appliances. The description of the location is accurate. Santa Maria Maggiore was immediately across the street and breathtaking. One evening was a Friday, and the restaurants below were loud until 1am. That was the reason for a 4-stars rather than 5. The owner was inflexible regarding bags, so that was 4 rather than 5. However, they were friendly and have a lovely apartment that is well suited for a family or three couples.

Property met all of our expectations. Clean, spacious and a/c was wonderful. Nice restaurants and grocery shops nearby as well as convenient to the Rome Train station. Periodically there is some noise from the restaurants and church bells but that cerainly did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the apartment.

Great location to spend our short time in Rome. 15 mins walk from coliseum, so very accessible. Lots of restaurants locally, if you want to stay closer to home. Generally well equipped, with some pantry staples (salt, sugar, oil, coffee) which we really appreciated. I think the only thing we missed were some towels for the kitchen, otherwise we had all we needed.

The location is really beautiful and it was easy to get to local sites - taxi stand also right across the street. Check-in process was smooth with owners were on time to check us in and show us around. Wi-Fi was very useful and the 3 separate bedrooms were perfect for our family. A little bit of street noise but not too bad. Would recommend!

This was a stylish, well-appointed apartment near both Termini and the Colosseum. We truly appreciated the spaciousness, air conditioning, kitchen, elevator, and good communication with Catia and her family. We would definitely stay here again in Rome (four adults and one teen).

It stated 3 double bedrooms but it’s 2 double bedrooms and a large single. So one person had to sleep on sofa

Location was great, apartment was well appointed, large and clean. Enjoyed the surrounding square.
A bit noisy at night with sirens but we did not mind.
Evening walk showed activity with locals. LOVELY

Overall, this was a very spacious and well maintained apartment. Communication with owner was easy and always responsive. Location was our only disappointment as it is about 15-20 min walk to Colosseum (it is longer after 21:00 because roads closed to all traffic including pedestrian so must take less direct route as we discovered) and 20-25 min walk to Trevi Fountain and surrounding sites. Taxi stand directly across the street if you do not want to walk such distances.

Authentic Roman/Italian property in the heart of it all. 5 stories up. Small elevator (3 average sized people max) available but you'll want to take the stairs after eating all the delicious food around. Unit is toward the back of the building so the view is of Rome's rooftops (not the Basilica across the street) but still nice. Comfortable beds. Kitchen stocked with all the basics (even some olive oil, S/P, coffee--probably left from previous renters). Washer/dryer is a Samsung combo unit. They don't vent so they're known to not fully dry your clothes. Very small loads only. Wash + dry cycle + 1 more dry cycle = 4 hours and then you will still need to hang your slightly damp items out to fully dry. Plan to only wash/dry essentials. ***Make sure to have CASH (Euros) to pay the €3.50 per person/per night tourist fee directly to owner upon arrival*** Overall, we had a wonderful stay!
