Exceptional location and property

The weather was perfect. It was nice to get away from the heat at home. The sound of the stream was so relaxing. Even though there is a house just across the creek, no one was there, so there were no voices but ours to be heard. Other than some minor traffic on road across the creek, we were totally away from everything, which is what we wanted. We hated to leave, but life awaits back home. We hope to return to this piece of Heaven.

This is a beautiful house and lots of grounds to explore. The grounds were well maintained and the views were spectacular. The creek was what drew us to the house and we never tired of sitting on the deck listening to water and enjoying the peace. If you are looking for seclusion this is the place. The nearest towns are about 20-25 minutes in each direction so it was good to get plenty of supplies before we made it there. It is a few miles drive for trout fishing if you love to fish. The big draw back for us was the grill which did not work properly and we could not use. We are big grillers and this was disappointing. The hot tub also needed some repairs. Overall it was a nice stay.

Right on a beautiful piece of property next to two trout stocked creeks with lots of acres to roam about.
Our car got vandalized by raccoons. Ripped windshield molding off and rear wiper off. That was exciting

The verdant setting with a gurgling brook, hammocks, jacuzzi and multiple trails in the adjacent hills gave us what our well-traveled family called a hit. Lots of glass facing the brook allowed restful views from the spacious interior, complemented by an easy-on fireplace. The kitchen met our needs, even a true pizza stone for a celebratory pizza evening. My sister in-law, who lives not far away, put it in her list of recommended places for friends.

Had a wonderful time. The place had everything we needed and had plenty of fun outdoor games. Will be back.

Words can not describe how beautiful this place is. Everyone had a wonderful time. Definitely needed to use 4 wheel drive. Snow and ice in 2 degree was not a problem.stayed warm and cozy by the fireplace And in the hot tub. Can not wait to go back a definite Winter Wonderland filled with beauty all around. Excellent communication and easy check in and out

My family just returned home from spending the last five days at this extraordinary property. The living area is nothing short of amazing. It was hard to get off the couch because the views were so fantastic in front of the fireplace with all these amazing windows surrounding you. My children loved exploring outside, playing in the water and around the campfire. I cannot recommend this cabin enough. It was nothing short of perfection.

My family and I stayed for the Christmas week. Absolutely beautiful cabin was beautiful. The surroundings were awesome. Owner side of everything fully stocked. Kitchen was great. Us being in Italian was a must. Having a hot tub was a plus for the whole family. Love making fires outside around the fire pit. Hiking, fishing. Last two days it started snowing absolutely beautiful. Truly enjoyed our stay. Will be back. Thank you so much.

We absolutley loved every minute! Great view from the wrap around porch. We loved the rocking chairs, the picnic table, grill, covered porch, games, cornhole boards, horshoe pits, fire pit, swings, hot tub, fishing, the babbling creek we could hear from the porch, etc. Well stocked kitchen- towels, cookware, utensils, TWO refrigerators!!, ice cube trays and ice maker, plastic storage containers, etc. Bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic- lots of blankets and extra pillows and lots of towels. Beautiful furniture. We loved the dining table, counter seating in the kitchen. The wall to ceiling view in the great room cannot be matched in any other house we have rented. Next time I will take my small dog. She would love it there. Watch for the chipmunk that lives in the rocks by the trees painted like the American flag. You never need to leave this house. There is so much to do. The owner was easy to contact. I have two friends who have contacted me to rent this property after posting pictures of our trip on Facebook. This home is fantstic. Book it with confidence!! We will be back. Also, perfect if you need a wheelchair accessible home or just one with no steps for an older couple.

This was our return trip (prev 2016) and we had great expectations -- and were not disappointed. Great to be away from hustle and bustle as we watched the leaves change color and fall! Facilities were comfortable and clean. Would come again!

Cabin is nicely situated by the creek. Close enough to area attractions. We enjoyed our stay cabin was clean in a peaceful setting.

This lovely property worked tremendously well for a wheelchair bound guest. The open concept of the home allowed for everyone to be very comfortable. We were there for 2 weeks. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, the electronics worked well, the enormous deck allowed for outdoor eating, reading, watching the gorgeous stream, the hiking was easy or challenging… the fishing was sporadic but fun… more luck in Buckeye Creek than Beech Creek. The hot tub on the deck was terrific, even if it is summer. And we hope there is a new one in the plans to replace the current one as the filter and jets are only partially working. We will be returning to this property.

Great place to go if you really want to get away and relax!!

Huge property - 90 acres along a babbling creek; 21 places to sit in the great room. Clean, great water pressure, first time using a Keurig so now we have to get one. Even though Memorial Day was rain soaked, still got to hike 3 different trails off the property with our 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They chased noises in the forest - probably deer - which they couldn't catch but gave them plenty of exercise. TV gets regular cable - HOORAY - none of that Roku stuff we are too old to use.
We live on the coast and try to be somewhere else over beach holidays because of the insanity - too much traffic - too many people. Steve's property was so peaceful - just a creek and birds.

We stayed a week . Some of husbands family stayed a couple of days. The creek was beautiful, the property is well kept and the views were beautiful. Apple trees and Dogwood were in bloom. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to leave the hustle of every day life and breathe! House is clean and well equipped. It was pretty cool and the gas fireplace was a perfect accompaniment to the Mountain View from the open floor plan and windows for viewing all. We will be making recommendations to our friends. If you want to be hassled with people and traffics, this isn’t for you. But if you want to connect with nature, your spouse or kids and family book this place!!

We enjoyed our stay so much. There was plenty to do outdoors and relaxing by the creek was wonderful! We loved our stay and hope to go back soon

We are a family with a 3 year old and a dog so mountain rentals in a reasonable price range can we difficult. The home and property exceeded our expectations. The home has a wonderful layout and the floor to ceiling windows were incredible. The house, linens and towels were all very clean.
Already planning our next stay at 82 acres.

We stayed for 5 nights with our closest friends and kiddos. The house is beautiful and the lot the house sits on is amazing! The only drawbacks (and they are MINOR) would be the 3rd bedroom is really a loft with a bed and bathroom, there is no door to make it a private bedroom. We had to purchase paper towels and toilet paper (not enough for all of us for the duration of stay). The hand soaps at the sinks were watered down, needed to be refilled or replaced. Other than that we had an incredible time and truly look forward to returning!! Thank you!

This property was great. We had an amazing week. Sugar moutain and Beech mountain are close enough to visit the slopes but far enough away to feel secluded from the crowds. The weekends are super busy up there. The cabin itself is gorgeous and had a lot of activities to keep you entertained during down time. My husband and our friend enjoyed the Chess table and played each other everynight. The hot tub was nice. One side of the jets didnt work but it wasn't enough to not enjoy it. My only complaint was the beds. They are very firm. Just not my preference while sleeping. Some memory foam toppers could really improve that and provide an option for guest who like a softer bed. But again just my personal preference not enough to take away from the experience as a whole.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the cabin. The location was very nice and had many activities to do. The creek in the front was frozen and looked amazing. Everything was great.

Just can't beat a roaring creek and the natural surroundings!

Fantastic family fall break with beautiful color in the trees, moving water in the creek, a well appointed house and days of perfect weather. House is remote and was perfect for our family trip.

Everything was as advertised. It was absolutely beautiful. Two negatives, but just personal preferences. For me and my family, the beds were too hard. The hot tub could use another step. It's too high for older people to get into. The home and the surroundings were so beautiful. I could have stayed there longer.

The house and property are absolutely beautiful! It doesn't get more peaceful than sitting and listening to the creek right in your own backyard. We also enjoyed hiking the property as well as the creek. After spending our days visiting the area, such as Grandfather Mountain, Roller Coaster in Banner Elk, Worley's Cave in TN, to name a few.....we would come back to relax in the hot tub. We would vacation here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for an amazing week!!!

This was the perfect place to relax, play in the creek, fish , nature walks and exploring. Beautiful cabin and property. We didn’t want to leave. We’d love to stay here again. I’ve already recommended this rental property to my friends. Such a Great time and lots of memories made.

We love "the creek cabin" (as our family calls it) and we will be back again!

Very nice house on beautiful grounds. Having the creek right there is very soothing. There are so many games and activities to keep you as busy as you like. I would suggest mentioning the upstairs master is a loft, so not as private. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We were able to have a nice fire around the fire pit one night. We had a great time!

Very private and quiet along a great stream.

The pictures do not capture the magic of this beautiful home and property! The expanse of windows facing the creek are amazing! The sound of the creek fills the entire home and is mesmerizing! The home is very well cared for and very clean! Everything you need is provided for, stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and linens, yard games, comfortable deck seating. We rotated from the hammock to the porch swing listening to birds, the wind in the trees and the waterfalls in the creek. We are planning to return next summer!!

Not that secluded
There is a house ~150ft on the other side of the stream (a metal roof was being installed when we were there). Trout stream is a stretch, listed as a creek, closer to a brook. We only caught/saw chubs could have been trout somewhere. Only half the jets in the hot tub worked, issue w/frig, only 2 burners on the grill work.
