About this house rental
Our large family home has recently been renovated in most parts of the house. It has gardens on the south and west sides and a large west facing terrace from the kitchen is perfect for summer evening BBQs. If there is ever a wet day, the games room provides ample entertainment, with pool, darts and a TV. On the ground floor, Sunnymeade has a new kitchen/diner, a large and a small sitting room, shower and two toilets. Upstairs there is a family bathroom, two large bedrooms with en-suite showers, and one further bedroom. The next staircase leads to three more bedrooms, with extensive views over the town to the sea. Summerleaze beach, visible from upstairs, is less than a kilometre away, and together with Crooklets beach is Lifeguarded in the summer. The house has been in the family for over 35 years, and it has been home for our family to grow up in. This is an ideal family retreat. The ruggedly beautiful North Cornish Coast Path leads walkers away from the two main beaches. Bude is amply equipped, with supermarkets, independent shops, pubs restaurants take-aways and sea pool.

The house is very large 6 very confortable bedrooms we were 6 adults and 4 children everyone enjoy the space , the owner thought of everything to accommodate all ages the kitchen is superbe

The house was exactly as describe and the whole family enjoyed staying there. The garden was great for the children to run around in and the kitchen was a lovely place where we could all socialise.
Another bonus was the proximity to Summerleaze Beach, the shops and several restaurants, which were all within walking distance.

We loved the space, the games room was a huge bonus with our large family. The kitchen is really well equipped and the living room comfortable, we were lucky with the weather so enjoyed the garden and patio area. Walking distance to the shops, bars etc and also the beach. We would definitely stay again for a large family gathering - the house was everything we needed

Lovely home for our family of 12. The property is very spacious, the pictures do not do it justice. Lots to keep you entertained on rainy days. Welcome package was well received. The property is in a great location, walking distance to the canal, beach and town.
Rachel and Ryan are excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble.

This lovely house was very spacious for our group of 11. We were grateful for enough seating for our group at the table and in the lounge.The games room had plenty of use.
We enjoyed the easy walk to the town centre for food, drinks and browsing. We did park one car with all our beach paraphernalia at Summerleaze Beach with everyone else walking - again an easy walk. The parking spots are quite tight if you have an SUV type vehicle.
Would highly recommend this property and we would definitely seek out this property on our return .

Beautiful home with everything you need. Comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms, gorgeous kitchen. A fantastic games room and a lovely garden.

We were a family of 11 (8 adults, 3 kids) & stayed at Sunnymeade for one week in August. The property was great for us all with lots of space to enjoy ourselves during the stay.
The games room was a big hit & we appreciated the extra fridge/freezer facilities which are always needed for a large group.
The house is in a great location and is ideally situated to walk to the town or local beaches. Excellent house to choose for a lovely week in Bude.

Wonderful place very relaxing lots of room for our 5 grandchildren. This is not a criticism because our holiday was perfect but a mop and bucket and dustpan and brush would have come in handy with 5 grandchildren. Excellent location 5 star all the way

Sunnymeade was one of the very best of the holiday let's that our family has experienced over many years. Well located, extremely spacious, and with a wealth of games, activities, and a games room. Excelllent location
We arrived to a clean and wonderful house and met host who was friendly and very helpful. The house is in an excellent location a few minutes walk from the beach, pubs and restaurants. Had a totally relaxing week exploring the area, dining out and in the wonderful garden. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful house
A beautiful house, with plenty of space for our 2 families. With 5 teenagers, the games room was a big hit, and they enjoyed playing pool and hanging out there in the evenings. The kitchen was very modern and well equipped, and opened out on to a back terrace and large garden, where we enjoyed sitting overlooking Bude, with a glass of wine. The whole house was spotlessly clean and it was very handy to have plenty of bathrooms. We were lucky enough to have the best weather all week and so took advantage of the lovely local beaches. Some great restaurants in the town, but make sure you book well ahead if you’re visiting in the summer. Thank you to Rachel and Ryan for letting us stay in your gorgeous home and for making the whole experience so enjoyable.

Lovely House
The house was great for our large mixed group. The grandchildren loved it and happily took a stroll down the beach. It didn’t rain but had it done so there was ample entertainment available in the house. Would definitely come again

Beautiful house....beautiful gardens!
We have just come back from our week at sunny mead! Only downside to the holiday is it went far to quickly 😂. The children loved the huge garden and massive house! We played hide and seek, hubby lost me in the house many of times 😂 we had day trips out... the children just wanted to get back to the house tho!!!..all 12 of us could sit around the table at meal times which was lovely! Evening games of bingo in the kitchen and the main lounge was big enough for us all to sit together at night. Games room was popular and great size too :)

Perfect family friendly holiday home
This wonderfully large comfortable house was ideal for our family celebration accommodating 3 generations. The garden and outside patio area was ideal for us to enjoy the beautiful weather and when the rain came the games room was a great source of entertainment.

Wonderful family friendly house
We were a family party ranging in age from 68 years to 8 weeks and this was the ideal house for us. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and lots of space for the children to play inside and out. Great patio and barbecue area as well as the Games Room which was a big hit with the grown up boys when they weren't at The Barrel at Bude just round the corner!
Bude has a lot to offer for all ages including two beaches, the sea pool and great walks along the canal and this is the perfect house to stay in.

A very spacious house with plenty of room for three generations.
The well equipped house is in an excellent location, being a short walk to the town centre and to the beach a few minutes further on. It is also within a short driving distance to other interesting locations along the north coast. The large garden was perfect for an Easter egg hunt and many games of football. Great for the children to run off some energy. Everyone loved the games room; many table tennis, pool & darts matches taking place throughout the week. Rachel & Ryan were very helpful, ensuring everything we needed was there for us. The house was ideal for a family gathering and all eleven of us had a very enjoyable holiday.

Fantastic Family Holiday Stayed 22/10/16-29/10/16
This house is amazing, we were a group of 5 children and 4 adults for most of the week and because there was so much room our son and girlfriend joined us for a few nights. There are plenty of rooms to have quiet time reading chatting etc, and the lovely kitchen is great for meals around the table, very well equipped. The games room was as others have said a huge hit for the children and adults alike. The location is perfect, everything within walking distance and lots to do further a field as well. Locally the children surfed at Widemouth Bay which was great, life guarded and very safe, this beach had the added bonus of cafes and eating places. We had a trip to Port Isaac, Boscastle (which was my favourite) the most amazing cream tea I have ever tasted!!!! Padstow, Polzeath Beach again fab for the kids and adults for surfing. We loved everything about this holiday, we were lucky with the weather too. Liz was very easy and straightforward to deal with a very smooth preparation for our holiday. Thank You for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful house.

Wonderful owners, brilliant house!
Fifteen friends and I stayed in Liz and Richard's property last weekend for a leaving party. The house itself is fantastic - there was no problem cooking for us all in the kitchen, the social areas are large enough that no one was cramped, and you're less than a five minute drive to the beach.
The games room was a particular favourite of ours and has a very good table tennis table, pool table, and darts board.
I didn't meet Richard but Liz was a fantastic house, always quick to respond to emails and there promptly to meet us and give us the keys.
All in all, a brilliant weekend and I would absolutely return in the future!

Spacious and comfortable holiday home
Sunnymeade was perfect for our large group of 3 families. The weather was great so our young adult children made full use of the body boards and we all lhad lots of fun using the games room! The house was really homely and well equipped and we had no need to use the car as everything was in easy walking distance. The walks along the canal and Coast path were beautiful. Liz and Richard were very welcoming and helpful.

Sunnymeade is a wonderful family home with plenty of space, we were a party of 10 with ages ranging from 9 to 74. The garden and games room were a massive hit with everyone. Sunnymeade is in a brilliant location, Bude centre is within a 5 minutes walk and the beach only 10 mins. away. Morrisons and Sainsburys are also close by. We would definitely return for another holiday.
Liz made us feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble.

Impressive house with plenty of space for our party of 11
Sunnymeade is a house with plenty of space easily accomodating our party of 11. The garden is large enough for family games and the house is well positioned being only 5 minutes walk into the centre of Bude and 10 minutes to the beach. The games room is a bonus on wetter days.
Richard and Liz made us feel very welcome and very much enjoyed our stay.

Family Wedding Stay
What a wonderful place to stay. My family and I needed a large place to stay for my youngest son's wedding. Sunnymead was the perfect place for us. My 3 children plus grandson stayed for the week with the groom staying the night before the wedding allowing him to stay with his siblings for the night. Sunnymeade is so spacious that we all were able to get ready on the day of the wedding without getting under each others feet. The size of the house also gave us the opportunity to entertain the Brides family during the week with added bonus of there being a games room, everyone challenged each other either to table tennis, snooker or darts it was great fun. My grandson was totally safe to run around and cycle his bike in the grounds. A delightful stay at a wonderful house. I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in Bude with a large family to stay here. Sunnymeade is within walking distance to the town, supermarkets and best of all beach and cliff top walks.

Lovely house perfect for a large group with lots of things to do
We came for a lovely (surprising sunny) weekend in June. The house was beautiful and clean, with a great garden, games room and lots of indoor and outdoor games. We were really lucky with the weather but even if we hadn't been we would not have been bored. Everything within walking distance and we didn't use the cars all weekend! Liz met us at the house and came back to check everything had been okay on the last day. She was very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Sunnymeade, Bude – Five star plus
Planning to take a party of 10 to Cornwall during half term, we booked the first available accommodation we could find. Thankfully, it was Sunnymeade and it ticked all the boxes: ample bedrooms (more than we needed), sitting rooms and, more importantly, bathrooms and plenty of places to find peace and quiet.
The house is extremely large, clean, well equipped and located within easy reach of shops, restaurants and beaches. We were fortunate to have sunshine all week so made good use of the large gas barbecue and the garden, which was ideal for a family game of cricket. Most evenings found us in the games room, playing table tennis, pool and darts, leaving little time to take advantage of the many games and books provided.
The owners, who live next door took pains to ensure we were happy with the accommodation and clearly cared that we had a good holiday in their home.
In short, it was everything it said on the tin, and more. I would heartily recommend Sunnymeade, which is the best self-catering accommodation I have had the privilege of staying in.

We had such an enjoyable stay even in December.The house was so warm and welcoming.The rooms were spacious and everyone was comfortable.
Location was so convenient as the town and beach were only a few minutes away.It was a home from home.
