Guest access:
The home is set up for self check-in. Guests can access the home via lockbox and will have access to the entire home.
Other things to note:
1. Confirmed guests will receive a local "Insider's Guide". We're a family business deeply connected to our community, and we hope you'll enjoy and respect this beautiful corner of the world while supporting our local economy sustainably. We love sharing it with our guests!
2. The home is professionally cleaned with eco-friendly products.
3. Please note that this home is not well suited for kids (on a hillside, decks, windows that open wide, artwork, fireplace, etc.)
4. Absolutely no parties or loud/late-night gatherings. We have neighbors nearby on both sides who are noise-sensitive. Please respect the serenity of the neighborhood. If you're looking for a place to cut loose and laugh and play music late into the night, we have other homes nearby that are more appropriate. Please ask us for alternative accommodation and we’d be happy to help find a place!
5. No chores for our guests! That’s what the cleaning fee is for, right? We have a fantastic team of housekeepers, some of whom have worked with us for over 10 years. We fully clean each home top to bottom, fully restocking all amenities, replacing worn-out items, and keeping things fresh and pleasant for our guests. We use top-notch cleaning products without annoying scents or chemicals, and our cleaners are paid living wages because they are the backbone of what we do and you’ll appreciate their attention to detail.

Guest interaction:
The property is set up for contactless entry. We are a local company that manages the property. We're just 15 minutes away, and our office is in Point Reyes Station. We're here 7 days a week to answer your questions or address any issues, usually within an hour, even on weekends and holidays.
Neighborhood:
Nestled along the stunning shores of Tomales Bay, Inverness is a charming coastal village in California. Known for its serene natural beauty, it's an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy hiking and biking trails, kayaking, and exploring the nearby Point Reyes National Seashore. Savor fresh seafood at local eateries, visit quaint markets, and unwind in cozy accommodations. Inverness offers a peaceful escape with breathtaking bay views and a welcoming, small-town atmosphere.
Getting around:
Parking is limited to one car in the driveway. There is no street parking near the house, but additional cars may be parked at the bottom of the road about 50 yards away. Restaurants, bars, and markets are within walking distance.
As much as we love kids, this home has several very real safety issues that make it an issue for families with young children. The windows are low and open wide with high drops, the deck has a steep drop off and the railings are not childproof. The fireplace is also low and exposed. We do have other homes nearby which we manage that are great for families, so please inquire.
Parking is very limited. You can squeeze two cars in if you park creatively, but it's really just a one-car parking space, and there's no street parking except for 30 yards down the street.
Have fun, be respectful, alert us right away if something is broken or amiss.
This is not the place for parties, if that's what you're looking for, contact me, I have other homes that might work for you.
Note: We reserve the right to enforce charges via the Airbnb Resolutions Center for damages or unreasonable use of listing utilities. Abuse of house amenities may result in post-reservation charges equal to the value of costs incurred. By booking our listing, you agree to these terms and all other house rules.
Non-guest visitors not allowed without prior approval. Don't try to throw your party here - if that's what you're looking for, contact me, I have other properties nearby that could work for you.
No animals - no exceptions. The owners have family members with severe allergies.
If you simply must bring your pet, we can refer you to a local lady who dog-sits at her home, or to one of our other properties which welcomes dogs.
No smoking inside - does that even need to be said anymore?
Violation of either of these rules will incur a minimum $500 cleaning fee and early termination of the reservation without refund. Sorry, but we've had guests abuse this in the past so now we have to be strict.
Other than that, we're easy and will assume that you'll be respectful and responsible.
Thanks!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful house - the cost was a splurge for us to be sure.. but the view, the amply stocked kitchen, comfy beds and fireplace made it worth it. One small addition of a hair dryer in the bathroom would be nice.

My husband, my adult daughter and I had a lovely, relaxing time at Treetops in Inverness. Aaron , the property manager, was happy to answer any questions I had, and was reasonable and very quick to respond. The house is comfortable and low key, with a lovely view of the Bay and a private hot tub in the garden area , shielded from the very occasional car passing on the street by a fence, and lower set back . Not all windows had shades to keep out the sun, but we were out all day at Point Reyes Seashore, Tony's Oysters or exploring Point Reyes Station, so by the time we returned to the house later in the day, the natural breezes had started and we opened up the windows for natural a/c. Just delightful. We'd return in a heartbeat!

Probably was the best week of getaway relaxing we've done in a long time (and we've done many) .. the property was tucked in the hills, and had a perfect view of IYC (yacht club) and open waters .. the art inside was excellent, the sculptures outside were excellent and the landscaping just made it feel so lush. Morning hot tub sessions didn't hurt. House is filled with windows, so opening whatever you wanted to get that perfect draft/temperature was easy and great for sleeping. You can hear the water lapping at night, noise from the road is a who cares type moment, and you are close to the only shops you need to stay isolated and relaxed on the Inverness side of Tomales Bay.

Treetops is a beautiful property, from the colorful gardens to the art-filled house. We loved our stay and enjoyed birdwatching, reading, cooking and visiting nearby Point Reyes. Thank you!

We loved this spot. Lovely views. Great kitchen. Easy location. User friendly. Very comfortable. Very clean hot tub. Peaceful. What can I say? It's pretty perfect. It was just fine for three people, too. The third bedroom downstairs is small, but cozy and has its own bathroom.

Just Plain Wonderful
Many things make this property 5 star plus:
- The setting is marvelous, with views of Tomales Bay from many windows, and lush greenery elsewhere;
- Beautiful architecture
- The attention to detail in the house, with eclectic artwork and interesting pieces, is remarkable. Also, the attention to details that guests really appreciate -- well stocked kitchen, coffee and teas provided shampoos and soaps, tissues in every room, etc.
- A very minor detail that annoyed us, being oldsters and not that technical, was the "TV" was really ability to download only; no stations available.
- Overall, quality everything, which we much appreciated

Perfect weekend get away
I stayed here with two friends for a weekend hike and connect. The house is perfect for us. We loved having breakfast on the porch overlooking Tamales bay, so relaxing. We hiked tamales point trail and explored Point Reyes Station.

Charming, comfortable place in a beautiful location for a small reunion of friends
Three friends and I stayed here for a long summer weekend, and everything was perfect for us. We relaxed in the hot tub, prepared delicious meals in the kitchen, and had great conversations looking out over Tamales Bay from the deck. The house has a charming, old-wood-house quality that we all loved. It's luxurious in a down-to-earth, laid-back sort of way that was just right for us.
One very small nit: the grill is an electric grill, which doesn't really do what a charcoal or propane grill can do. That was fine for us, but might be a concern for folks who are more particular about their barbeque.

Lovely house
We had a great stay, convenient location, beautiful house.

Ideal Weekend or Longer Stay
It was an ideal short stay for a hike in Pt. Reyes and an event in Pt. Reyes Station. We’d rent again without hesitation and for a longer stay.

Views galore
This was a great space for our family of five. We loved all of the books and art. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is very well-equipped. Beautiful views views of the bay as well. We also had a great meal at Saltwater, just down the road.

Perfect
The house was in a perfect location. Definitely going to try and rent this one again!

Comfortable home, beautiful location
We spent a happy long weekend in Treetops. Comfortable place to spend with family or friends. Beautiful art and views from every room. Great kitchen! We had one glitch with the oven (turns out it wasn’t plugged in) but their management company quickly put it to rights. We hope to return.

beautiful location a few issues...
Overall the stay was very nice. The location and house was beautiful and there was almost everything one needed--very thoughtfully done.
One issue that made this less than 5 star--was a noise from the heating system (loud banging) that woke us up in the middle of the night twice. We chose to shorten our stay since it could not be resolved. It also took almost 24 hours to get a reply from house managers. Also the power went out, and there was NO manual (as usual) and it took a while to find the fuses (again in the evening)
The agency handling the house was vey accommodating about this and fair in the end and brought us a manual promptly once we connected. These are all older houses (we've stayed in them for 4 years) and its understandable that things can go wrong.. In the past the initial response from other homes was faster and reached a resolution (so we didnt have to leave early)
Otherewise its as advertised!!!!

Charming home
Charming vintage house in a great location. Updated kitchen had everything we needed. This house probably has a dozen different fantastic places to curl up with a good book or a glass of wine to watch the birds on the bay. LOVED the art collection!

Amazing house. Beautiful location.
View of bay is stunning. Decor and amenities were wonderful. Easy to get to. Need I say more?
