The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. We loved the surrounding property of the Highland Club - 20 beautiful, peaceful acres on Loch Ness. Our questions were quickly answered by the Reception staff (Mandy and others). We highly recommend this apartment.
However, the apartment may not be suitable for people with mobility problems - a steep, narrow staircase to the bedrooms and the bathroom is on the main floor. Also the tub is not easy to enter and exit.

Great communication from start to finish, beautiful apartment, comfortable bed and a lovey stay. Thank you

The property was lovely, surprisingly even bigger than it looks on the picture which was a nice surprise as usually it tends to be the other way around. Very remote, perfect for families or couples for a little getaway!

Fantastic holiday
The apartment was perfect, facilities second to none and the location was spectacular. A brilliant, fun filled week.

We chose Highland Club for its location (for Highland day trips) and the quality of the units. The setting is wonderful, loved the pool and my husband enjoyed some snooker. We were welcomed with good shortbread and a bottle of wine on the dining table. This apartment has some lovely finishes but some basic daily-living details could be better addressed. Not a deal-breaker, but it will help guests to consider in advance. The kitchen has designer finishes but no upper cupboards; while all the lower cupboards are filled with pots, pans, lots of useful tools but there is no empty space for pantry goods. (We emptied one shelf of frypans for our food.) In the master bedroom, the bed is under the steep ceiling with dormer windows, so one must crouch getting in and out of bed (and I'm short). We literally moved the bed over a foot, to minimize bumping my head. The whole room arrangement needs to be reconsidered. There is no bureau, which is odd, and inconvenient. The second bedroom does have 2 single storage beds with drawers on the bottoms. For a party of 4 though, clothes storage would be awkward. As would hanging wet bath and/or pool towels, as there is only one small towel warmer and one towel rod in the bathroom. Most importantly, for those with mobility issues: as others have noted, the 20 stairs to the bedrooms are steep - that is, the risers are high - and narrow, like a walled-in spiral. With the bathroom on the lower floor, that should be a consideration. Also, the floor of the tub is elevated above the bathroom floor, and there are no grab bars for stability (the glass half-panel is hinged, not fixed). We are fit and mobile, but we had to take care especially stepping out of the tub. Except for the stairs, I hope these are inconveniences the owners could eliminate to make longer stays much more comfortable.

Perfect weekend stay
We had such a lovely weekend in the Moat House. Perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The property was spotless and had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful and we made good use of the plentiful facilities - tennis courts, swimming pool, table tennis and the snooker and pool tables in the lounge. Will highly recommend to our family and friends.

The home was very clean and exactly as described. My family with young adult and teen children was comfortable for our 3 night stay. We really loved the closeness too the pubs and shops and the extra activities available on site. Highly recommend!

Lovely place to visit for a few days, pool, sauna and steam room amazing.
Nice apartment, very close to everything with lovely walks along the canal and lots of extras in the apartment like games and videos a great home from home in a fabulous setting. There is no reception to check in, so if you msg beforehand hand someone will find you in the car park to get you sorted.

Excellent
Situated on the banks of the Loch Ness, adjacent to the old Fort. Some really beautiful walks in the local vicinity and the house itself is a comfortable base with excellent facilities.

Fabulous relaxing place
We stayed for a couple of days only but I wish I booked the place for at least a week! It is absolutely amazing place on the bank of Loch Ness… Facilitates are nice : the pool, sauna, outdoor kids play ground , giant chess .. plenty of cafes in the area. Great place to stay, thanks

Lovely weekend getaway
We had a lovely two nights having seen the place we wish we could have stayed longer. There were just a couple of this that could have made the stay even better. Unfortunately, the bottle opener was broken which was a bit frustrating. Other than that the flat was clean and well appointed. We were also given the wrong details to book the pool but managed to get that sorted out. We were very happy and would love to go again.

Beautiful central setting to Scotland locations. Quite and serene. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amenities of the property.

Lovely break
Lovely property with everything you need. Great communication with owner for any questions we had before we arrived. The property manager Simon was very helpful and advised us on the best places to eat and although they were busy with people checking in took us on a tour of the facilities at the Highland Club. Great location and Would definitely recommend.

Highland club
The highland club is in a lovely location and the apartment very well equipped, very clean and lovely and quiet. As mentioned by others, the set up is a little strange & would not be ideal for everyone (the bathroom & only toilet is on the ground floor near the kitchen, and the bedrooms up steep stairs). Main drawback for us was the length of the single beds - you can’t fit in the bedframe if taller than about 5ft10 - so no good for our teenagers. Lovely how we had direct access outside unlike most properties at the club (albeit onto the carpark area not the loch sadly!), and a couple of chairs to take outside would be a nice addition. We had a lovely week all in all, just a few things to be aware of.

Family Break - Perfect
The property is as it is listed, a very clean and well equipped property that sits within the beautiful grounds of the Highland Club.
The communication with the owner (Caroline) was polite and informative - Always there to support if required. The location is picture perfect with some of most stunning scenery you will experience in Scotland. The town is effectively your resort! Everything you need is within walking distance with tasty food and treats all round.
Lots of activities to do with the kiddies and keep them busy throughout the day. It really is one of the best kept secrets in Scotland!!! We will definitely be back for more of the same please!!!

To say we needed this holiday was an understatement. after all the past year has brought the world, a little get away from it all was just what we needed. The staff at the Highland Club made it even easier, with simple contactless check-in and a rundown of the property and its features. We were made to feel very welcome on site. the apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.set on a lovely site, we had access to tennis courts, park, shore line (stone skimming is a must), badminton, small football pitch, giant chess board, ping pong table. we took walks around the grounds which was beautiful. the restaurant at the back, is not much to look at but don't let that put you off. the food inside was delicious, staff friendly and helpful for food allergies etc.The Highland Club is definitely a hidden gem to Loch Ness and Fort Augustus.

We loved the location, the house we booked did have a private entrance but the first floor was on the second floor being we had to walk down two flights of stairs to use the toilet facility . The hallway floor was very slippery throughout our stay as it seemed to have been just waxed or polished (we didn’t complain but I am sure if we would have mentioned it the host would have sorted it)The soap hand wash dispenser was not functioning so we had to unscrew the lid to get to it. We would have liked to have been showed around by the the guy who came out to give us the keys . (Friends of ours stayed with a different host at the same time in the same location had been given a proper tour of the location and got told of the history).Otherwise the property was very clean and had everything one needs to stay in. (One of the pull down bedroom window blind came slightly loose)

Fantastic location
Stayed for 3 nights and from start to finish enjoyed every moment. The property is clean, tidy and very comfortable, most definitely a home from home. The property is kitted out with everything you need for young children and adults alike.
Correspondence with Caroline is great and she's always happy to give further information should you need it.
Covid compliance 5*
Location is second to none being at the very southern tip of Loch Ness and a 2 minute walk to local amenities. Plenty to see and do locally and further afield.
We can't wait to come back!

Good break in lovely location, shame amenities not open but cant be helped during covid
ok, clean tidy, plenty utensiles and stuff you need, Furniture and fittings a bit basic and cheap i.e lampshades pics and curtains rug and side tables not good quality. Like from B&M Not really home from home a few quality touches would make all the difference but that just our preference - nothing wrong with place and was tidy with everything we needed
