About this villa rental
Situated in a quiet village this detached villa is ideally suited for families and groups, or couples that want a bit of space. The large south facing pool and pool terrace is ideal for dining and relaxing, as is the upper terrace with sea views.
With the good distribution of terraces and seating areas, everyone can have their own space, to relax, read, listen to music. You can even pick your own lemons for your drinks.
The villa has been tastefully furnished with all the facilities required for a self-catering holiday.

The village of Santo Estevão is only a 10 minute walk. Here you will find a minimarket, shops, banks, cafes and restaurants. There are several restaurants within a short walk from the villa. Great communication from Lisa from booking - stay! Answering all my questions & giving us valuable info when she visited the villa too.
The villa was the perfect set up for 2 families with 2 bedrooms downstairs & 2 up all with bathrooms etc it felt huge! The Villa itself is a great size, has everything you need to make meals etc . We have stayed in a few villas & Casa Algre has been our favourite so far!The villa was spotlessly clean & Sylvia the cleaner came round on a few occasions to clean up outside & in , this was great!
The pool is a great size, our 4 kids all had a great time. It is very deep pretty much from the stairs but that was ok as the kids are strong swimmers. Plenty sunbeds & pool towels provided.
Washing machine & rotary dryer are perfect and an added bonus of not having to bring dirty clothes home if you dont want to.
Local restaurants within walking distance, we ate out at O Forno and was lovely food & wine at a fab price for 8 of us. The local shop has limited produce so we preferred to drive 10 mins to Tavira where there is an Aldi & Lidl . Lidl we felt had more options for us brits.
We got an uber from the villa to Tavira for under €8. Was a lovely way to spend an evening.
We would love to come back & definitely recommend the villa to anyone .

The house was perfect for our needs. Quiet neighborhood but close to everything we wanted. Wonderful small restaurants and market within walking distance. The house manager made sure all of our needs were taken care of. We never wanted to leave!

Excellent Villa, plenty of space and most of the comforts of home. We are two couples who have visited the Algarve over a dozen times and stayed in many properties, because the owners use the property there is plenty of everything you need which is a plus and we therefore plan to re-visit the Property. Our only criticisms which you will see are minor or couldn't be helped, brushes needed for the barbecue (wire for the grill and one for cleaning ashes away), a couple more mugs (the English like their tea), quieter Dogs in the neighbourhood (can't be helped) and you need to have a spray for insect bites.
Lisa provided all the info and recommendations you could possibly need, and was always quick to respond to any queries which were very few.

A real home from home with everything you could need. From the moment we arrived and we’re greeted by Lisa until we left everyone was more than happy. A perfect layout of a home, everyone can have their own space and find space for a quiet moment if desired. Plenty of shade around the house which is great when the group includes children/babies. Although pool not heated it is perfect to cool off in and their are plenty of sun beds, pool towels etc. Great location to explore from with plenty to do. Lisa was great, kept in touch although we had no queries as the check in was so informative. Would definitely recommend this villa and will hopefully return.

Villa was amazing, clearly someones well loved & well kept family holiday home. we stayed in july & it was super hot but had aircon in all rooms.
kitchen had everything you needed & more, dishwasher, nespresso pod machine, microwave, plastic kids plates & beautiful matching crockery. lovely outdoor brick bbq area & variety of seating areas.
washing machine & washing line was great for kids, as well as second fridge freezer & pool inflatables & bucket / spades.
pool was fabulous with a shallow fenced off section which was good for my toddlers aswell as a nice deep area for adult swimming. only slight down side to the pool was there was no kids gate but we put loungers on their side to create wall for kids so it was safe.
the terrace at the top was cooler for the evenings or a morning coffee with a view.
easy to get an uber into tavira for shops / big supermarket/ history. local town didnt have much but the small supermarket had the essentials & only 5 mins walk to a lovely resteraunt.
would 100% recommend & stay here again - really beautiful! you couldnt want anything more from a holiday villa! thank-you! x

Perfect location to visit Tavira and explore the Algarve with everything you could need. Wonderful villa felt like a home from home with lots of loungers to enjoy the sunshine and dip in the pool to cool down and swim. We really enjoyed alfresco dining in the covered seating area as well as at the local village a short walk away and the multiple options in Tavira. Lisa and the team made sure we had everything and were available if we needed anything - so a big thank you to Lisa, Mohamed & Sheila.

Fabulous haven with a great swimming pool
Our flights were cancelled last year during covid but Lisa the agent was so accommodating and rebooked us for this year at no extra cost, she kept in touch with us in the run up to the holiday and we could t have been happier. The house was amazing and plenty big enough for a large family. We enjoyed using the upper terrace when the sun was setting. A quality property in a great location only 10 mins from Tavira and 15 minutes from Olhao

A good sized property for 8 adults
The property is in a quiet location but handy for Tavira, Barril Beach, Fuseta etc. There is a good restaurant a few minutes walk away.
There are plenty of options for sitting outdoors. We particularly liked the roof terrace at night time. The outside dining area shaded under the loggia is very comfortable.
The pool is deep throughout; even the shallow section at the top of the pool was too deep for a toddler to stand in. Because of its depth and lack of a pool cover it was cold even during the heat of August.
Inside the house is spacious with good air conditioning in all rooms. The kitchen is large with plenty of equipment. The house is the owners home for a large part of the year and this is apparent from its decoration.
All the bedrooms are a good size but the bed in one of the rooms was very soft. The stairs to the upper floor are fine for most people but are not suitable for people with mobility issues as they are narrow and winding with no handrail.
Despite a few reservations, we were pleased with the house and had a very enjoyable stay.

Superbe villa
Magnifique villa avec de belles prestations, grands espaces de vies, bien équipés, superbe piscine agréable pour les enfants seul point faible il manque une barrière de sécurité autour de la piscine pour éviter les accidents !!
L’agent immobilier est très sympathique et réactif en cas de petits souci.
Le quartier est calme avec des petits commerces de proximité.
Le jour du départ nous aurions apprécier de pouvoir quitter la villa à 12h00 au lieu de 10h, cela nous aurait permis de prendre le petit déjeuner tranquille avec les enfants. Nous avons été précipité par l’arrivé de l’employé qui a commencé à nettoyer le jardin à 9h avec le souffleur.
Très bon séjour entre famille et amis, à refaire très vite.

Casa e localização muito agradáveis
Esta casa oferece todo o conforto que podemos esperar de uma casa de férias, tem ac em todos os quartos e salas e é muito espaçosa. A piscina está bem tratada embora o seu acesso não esteja vedado a crianças mais pequenas. A cozinha está muito bem equipada e a churrasqueira está num local fresco, embora precise de mais iluminação. Em resumo é uma excelente casa para quem procura sossego e conforto.

Olá Lisa, Magnifica propriedade! O ambiente exterior, o espaço disponível e sobretudo a piscina fizeram as delícias do grupo pelos bons momentos que proporcionaram. O interior, bastante espaçoso e confortável permitiu umas merecidas férias em qualidade. A instalação de ar condicionado, agora em toda a casa, foi também uma mais valia para o tempo quente que se fez sentir. Contamos voltar. Obrigado

Wonderful villa in a peaceful setting and close to some magnificent beaches
Wonderful well equipped villa in a perfect location close to Santa Lucia, Cabanas, Tavira, Fuseta and Olhao. The pool is a good size and extremely well looked after. There are plenty of different outdoor areas to sunbathe, read, eat and chill. Highly recommended and we will return for sure!

Fabulous peoperty
Two families of four and we loved this villa. Lots of space, fabulous well equipped kitchen and whole house has everything you could need.
We loved the outdoor space - decent sized pool and lovely shaded dining area.
Short walk to a fabulous local bar and restaurant. 10min drive to excellent supermarket and Tavira & Santa Luzia ( €8 for a taxi each way)
We’re had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly recommend. Only things to be aware are that there is no air con in upstairs bedrooms and the kids have been very hot at night.. and the double beds are very very soft!

Lovely Villa, nice peaceful setting and a wonderful pool
As we arrived very late Lisa was very welcoming and helpful. The offer of getting some provisions in for breakfast was gratefully accepted and made the next day a little less fraught. The layout of the villa is very good with excellent space for the 6 adults that were staying. Air conditioning is only in the downstairs bedrooms although in June the temperature was okay for the upstairs rooms to not get too hot and fans are provided. The pool was well used and even though there was a problem with the circulation Lisa and Mohammed were on hand very quickly to get this sorted and the pool back to full working order, excellent service and easily contacted. There was also contact details available for taxis which we used to get to Tavira for a couple of nights out, a lovely town just 10 minutes away. Santo Estevao itself is small but the local shop had everything we needed and the Bar / restaurant was excellent, only a five minute walk up to the village. We did have a hire car to get around and it was very easy to get to the main roads for travel to Faro, Villamoura and Albufuera. Overall the location of the Villa and the service provided by Lisa was outstanding and could not be faulted, if we decide to come back to Portugal this would be my first choice of villa following this holiday.

A home from home holiday
This was all as listed. Very comfortable and loads of room. Well maintained and cleaned twice weekly. Anything required only a phone call away with rapid response. Definitely a car needed but in easy access of Tavira Town and beaches. Pleasant local eating places.
Certainly a place for a return visit.

très belle grande villa très bien équipée
Grande villa dans un quartier calme proche de Tavira. La maison est bien entretenue et propre. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Un service de nettoyage a lieu une fois par semaine ce qui est très appréciable. Nous avons rarement vu une maison en location avec cuisine aussi bien équipée, on y trouve tout ce qui est nécessaire. Grand jardin où nous avons pu profiter le soir de nous faire des poissons sur le grill. La piscine est très grande, toutefois nous avons eu quelques problèmes avec le système de circulation de l'eau qui ne fonctionnait pas bien du tout. La climatisation est installée mais ne fonctionnait pas durant notre séjour, nous avons utilisé les ventilateurs mis à disposition. La responsable de l'agence, Lisa, est très serviable et disponible. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

We have stayed here for the last four years ! It's a great family villa,homely well stocked kitchen and great pool area . Lots of sun beds and umbrellas. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough .Book andd see for yourself ,photos do not do it justice
