This beautiful property is a 2 bedroom guesthouse in a very private setting in quiet neighborhood. It is roughly 700 square feet and has a large wrap around screened in porch. The porch has lots of outdoor seating and dining for 8. The kitchen has everything you will need including, oven, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, electric stovetop, waffle maker, blender, mini chopper and plenty of cooking paraphernalia. A full size washer and dryer is available on site as well. The first bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has bunk beds. Perfect for a family of 4 or 5. Large leather sofa can be slept on as well. The bathroom has a walk in shower. Large 1/2 acre yard with a pool that is closed during winter months.

This was such a great stay for me and my family! We were visiting extended family in the Roanoke area and this was the perfect home base for us. The cottage is beautiful and the outdoor areas were fully used. The outdoor grilling area was huge with 2 burners for any stove top cooking since there was only an oven inside. The screened in porch made for a great place to sip coffee in the morning and have dinner and cocktails in the evening. I can’t say enough about the pool. It was HUGE! Much of the pool is deep but Laura had so many great floats that we stayed in the pool most of our days. We also enjoyed some night swimming. All in all, it was a great place to stay and we hope to book this cottage again next year. Thank you, Laura!

Loved our stay here! The property is very private but also in a very central location in Roanoke. We absolutely loved the heated pool and outdoor kitchen, and the interior was very cute. Laura gave us complete privacy but was responsive and helpful to our questions. Would definitely stay again if we end up in Roanoke!

It was lovely. The owner easily made accommodations for checking in, checking out. The place was wonderfully clean, and many little details that made it special. Would stay there again, especially to use the pool!

Our experience was good at this property. It was close to the area where we needed to be, very pretty and quiet. The pool was not available yet as the weather was chilly the first half of our stay. The beds were uncomfortable, unfortunately! There are stairs to get down to the rental but they are easy steps and have a railing. Host was very easy to communicate with throughout the process.

We had a great time enjoying the pool, screened in porch and guest house. The pool was a perfect temperature even after a rainy afternoon it was warm. Great amenities. We look forward to returning!

This was everything we hoped for! A sweet cottage, very private. If this host doesn’t provide it then you probably don’t need it! Very, very clean and so well stocked. The pool is great, clean and only a few steps from the amazing porch. We ran into some personal issues and our host could not have been more accommodating and generous. Thank you!!

My friends and I rented this property for a girls weekend in Roanoke (we are all from Roanoke but live elsewhere). We loved this property! Beautiful yard, pool, and house. The owner has everything needed to have a relaxing and fun time. Outdoor kitchen a huge screened porch! Just be ready to haul your stuff down the hill from the parking area. Laura, our host, is awesome and on top of making sure everything is perfect for your stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Our kids (9 and7) absolutely loved swimming in the pool every day. The owner was very helpful and super easy to work with. The house was the perfect size for our family of four and we would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely quiet spot for my kids and I to use as a home base to explore the Roanoke area. We especially enjoyed the pool! Laura was very responsive and considerate as well.

Lovely semi-private setting! The pool is heated & the enormous screened in porch was awesome. Lots of fenced-in green space for kids to run as well. The double bed was the only drawback for us - not the most comfortable for 2 tall adults but doable for a short visit. We will still likely return, especially if a sleeper sofa ever makes its way in!

The property is very clean and private. The host took care of everything - from coffee k-cups to pool toys, from outdoor grill to extra pillows, from board games to cable TV! And of course the heated pool is awesome and deep!

We had the most wonderful weekend at this gorgeous little oasis. The pictures don’t do it justice! The property is spacious, private and immaculately kept. Our host thought of everything (all the comforts of home!) and has decorated the house so beautifully. The outdoor space was a dream with an awesome outdoor kitchen, plenty of seating areas and a dining table. My kids swam in the pool all weekend. We can’t wait to book another stay!

This place epitomizes peace. The house and surroundings are immaculate. There are sitting areas everywhere that beckon: screened porch, pool, fire pit, fireplace...it's an enclave surrounded by lush greens and curious wildlife. But very close to shopping and dining and everything Roanoke has to offer; and Laura is a wonderful host.

The guest house was beautiful. Although we enjoyed it in the fall, I could really see this as a great place for the summer, with it's outdoor pool, gas grill, and huge wraparound screen-in-porch.

We really enjoyed our time in Laura’s cottage. The pool and the porch are absolutely great. Our kids had the best time swimming and playing in the porch. Laura was always very quick to respond to any of our questions. Great experience.

Had an unforgettable weekend getaway at Laura's poolhouse. We enjoyed the pool, the grill, and the big screen TV when we were not racing. Laura was easy to communicate with, made us feel welcome, and left us plenty of privacy. Hope to return next year!

Great location with a pool

We stayed for a week with a family of 4, including two boys aged 9 and 11. Upon arrival we were greeted by Laura the owner who gave us a tour of the place and general advice on activities in Roanoke. We used the rental as a base to explore Roanoke and surrounding mountains and the pool was a perfect way to cool off after a day out in the summer heat. The property was very clean, well stocked, including a generous variety of k-cups, snacks and even a bottle of bubbly. With two active boys we used the washer and dryer more than once which allowed us to pack light. The screened porch made for pleasant time outside in the evenings. Even though the property is rated for more guests, we felt that 4 is really the max since the place inside is limited and would probably feel too crowded for a larger party. The only thing truly missing was a stove top since the two- burner portable electric unit was extremely slow to heat anything. We used the outside grill and the side burners instead which proved very efficient.

We stayed here for just one night when several family members were all going to be in the Roanoke area. The house completely met our expectations for a comfortable place to visit and get a good night's rest. Wish the weather would have been a bit warmer for us to enjoy the beautiful outdoor living space as well. Laura was wonderful to meet us, show us around the house, and make us feel at home.
