Blackberry Lodge was a great place to celebrate a milestone birthday. Everyone appreciated the 5 bed/bath en suite rooms. The wine and coffee welcome gifts were delicious! The various game tables and hot tub were popular gathering spots. Having two refrigerators was so helpful. Easy access to both Asheville and Black Mountain outings. Several great breweries nearby. FYI the location is a thickly wooded area with no vista views. Our only disappointment was the lack of a television in the living/dining/kitchen area since we spent a lot of time there and would have enjoyed watching the Olympics while we prepared our meals. There are plenty of tvs in the house but not one in the main floor living space. Everyone had a great time!

I recently stayed at this beautiful mountain house and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed at the home layout and the serene atmosphere.
Pros:
Location: The house is situated just 20 minutes outside of Asheville and offers breathtaking views of the forest, with a sense of tranquility. It’s the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Comfort: The house is incredibly comfortable and well-maintained. The bedrooms are cozy, the beds are comfortable, and the living areas are spacious and inviting.
Amenities: The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances, there’s a fireplace for chilly nights, and even a hot tub to relax in after a day of hiking.
Outdoor Space: The outdoor space is fantastic, with a large deck that offers views of the trees. There’s also a grill for barbecuing and plenty of seating to enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Activities: There are plenty of activities to do in the area, from hiking and biking to exploring nearby towns and enjoying local cuisine.
Cons:
Accessibility: The only minor downside is that the house is a bit remote, so having a car is essential. However, the seclusion is part of what makes this place so special.
Overall Experience:
Our stay at this mountain house was unforgettable. It’s the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

We enjoyed our stay, and loved the pool area and game room in garage.

We had a great stay! We visited Mills River brewery and Sierra Nevada 15-20 min drive. This house was great for our couples trip. Spacious and clean! The only thing missing was a TV in the great room on the main level.

Gorgeous & very spacious home and equipped with everything you need. We truly enjoyed staying there, it felt like home. Comfortable beds, plenty of firewood to keep warm with a beautiful view of the woods. Definitely will rent this home agin.

Very happy with both the house and management company, Yonder Inc. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Even the ping pong and pool tables were good as new which is unusual at rental properties. The Buddhist art and vibe was an extra plus.

Before arrival, I was asked if we wanted a Christmas Tree. Not only was there a decorated fresh Christmas tree, but the table, mantle and other areas of the house were decorated as well.
My family is scattered in various places, so it was very nice to have a week to be able to catch up. The kitchen was well equipped and all 8 family members had plenty of space to spread out. The hot tub was a huge hit. I appreciated the host providing information on hiking trails and places to go.
It is a great location and easy to drive to Asheville or Black Mountain.

I really wanted to give Blackberry Lodge a 5-star rating because it has a lot of amenities: spacious great room, well-appointed kitchen, large master, great location not too far from Asheville. The only negative is the 2 very small bedrooms downstairs which have a bed but nothing else: NO closet, dresser, chair, etc., which means you live out of a suitcase on the floor (not my preference). On a positive note, the property management company is excellent and responded promptly to all our questions and needs, like a malfunctioning dryer (ex. they brought lots of clean towels since we couldn’t launder them ourselves).

This house was spacious and well equipped for our 5 day stay. We used the hot tub, firepit and pool table in the evenings when we returned from our activities.
The location was good for accessing hiking opportunities as well as downtown Asheville activities.
Be aware that the basement bedrooms do not have closets or bureaus, but having individual bathrooms for al 5 bedrooms was a big plus.

Our stay was great. The house was the best stocked home we have stayed in. We had a great time.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is close to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. It is an easy drive anywhere. The home was clean and comfortable and the host left some fresh fruit, coffee, popcorn and cookies for us upon arrival. This was a very nice treat that we enjoyed. Kitchen is fully stocked with pans and spices. Jacuzzi was clean and ready for use. Our guys enjoyed the game room pool table every evening. Fun was had by all and it easily accommodated 4 couples.

Beautiful home. Lots of room and everyone having their own bathroom was great! Took advantage of the gas grill and hot tub. Accurate directions were sent in advance making it easy to find. Felt very comfortable taking walks in the area and had a great time!

We had the best time! We got a group of friends together to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The house was clean and roomy. We all had our own space so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We were surprised and excited by the goodies that were left for us. We enjoyed the hot tub both nights even though it was July. I definitely recommend staying here if you have a large group.

This property had everything we needed for our large group. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and areas to hang out inside and outside the house. The water pressure wasn’t great in one of the upstairs bathrooms but the rest of the house more than made up for that one inconvenience. We loved the location because we could easily get to Asheville and Lake Lure. The kids loved the pool table, ping pong table, firepit and hot tub. We would stay here again.

Great house with lots of amenities. Loved there is a bathroom for every room. It was a little farther from downtown but beautiful get away.

Great home for visiting with family and offering location near Asheville and Black Mountain but away from the busy areas.
10.0
Our two-family group had plenty of room for the four teenagers and two sets of parents. The pool table and hot tub were a big hit with everyone and even enjoyed a night by the fire pit making s’mores! We enjoyed the grill and making a few dinners during our stay as well.
Yonder’s management team and the smartphone property app worked perfectly. We had an issue with the dishwasher that was promptly attended to and fixed while we were out having fun ziplining.
Would recommend this property and the management company for any stays you have coming up.
10.0
The home was beautiful, very well appointed and very comfortable for the group (3 couples and one single, all family). We used four of the five bedrooms and having all of them with their own en-suite baths was great. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, yet reasonably convenient to grocery stores, local restaurants and breweries, as well as downtown Asheville and Hendersonville. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely rebook if we plan another trip to the area in the future. One thing to note - If you or someone in your group is not able to easily navigate stairs, this house may be a bit challenging. That said, the master bedroom, kitchen and primary living area are all on the first floor, so it may be doable. Overall, an excellent property.

Our group of 9 people (adults and children infant-9 yrs old) had a great time and we’re all very comfortable in the house! Location was decent to Asheville and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We loved the hot tub and the basement as well! Only issue was the water, when one person is using a shower no other water, even small sinks can be used,

Place was perfect. Had 4 generations staying together for a week, ages 1-87.
Everyone had there own space and room. Perfect for family gathering.
Weather was perfect, good fall colors. Just what i wanted.

This could be by far the best place I have stayed! Well stocked, very spacious, very clean, perfect for our large group (5 couples), could not have asked for anything more. Hosts communicated great and would stay here again for sure.

A lovely property in a wooded area outside of Asheville. Spacious home with wonderful amenities. A luxury to have 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths for a group of senior couples, as well as plenty of games to entertain us. Approximately 20 minutes to Asheville and some breweries/restaurants a bit closer to the house. The only minor criticism we had was the fact that there was no television in the main living area, which is rather unusual. There was one in the lower living area, but not enough seating for 8 people. Otherwise, a clean and well-equipped property.
10.0
We were a group of 5 couples and loved that each bedroom had an en suite bathroom. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners at the house and very much enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub! We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the Asheville area!
10.0
The house was quite nice and fit our needs with the 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms! However, the lights in the garage/game room didn't work so we had to bring a lamp from the bedroom in there to use that space. Also, the master bathroom has NO privacy as there are glass French doors leading from the bathroom to the bedroom. That also let in a significant amount of light as dawn was breaking. The two a/c units in the bedrooms downstairs kept freezing up (and we didn't have them lower than was recommended). We did enjoy the location and the outside decks/spa as well!

Absolutely beautiful property, even better than the online pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and working with the rental management company.

We stayed at Blackberry Lodge in a group of 5 couples. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked. When we had trouble getting the hot tub heated up, we received a call within 30 minutes and Alicia was super helpful and had us fixed right away.

Very accomodating for the entire family to enjoy and close to the mountains and city of Asheville which we really enjoyed all.

Great for multiple couples
Shared with 4 other couples, traveling together for a wedding in Fairview. Property was well equipped and offered more than enough space and activities. The number of bathrooms was perfect to allow everyone privacy while getting ready for the wedding on Saturday. Would stay again

Nice home for a group
For the management company....we had to deal with large black ants in the kitchen and dining. We got traps for them and it seemed to solve the problem

Comfort and Peace
It was 5 couples staying at this property. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The bedrooms, other interior rooms and the outdoor areas all were comfortable areas. Definitely a home where you can just entertain and enjoy the peaceful nature around you.

Perfect mountain getaway
We really enjoyed the house, very clean, modern. Only 15 mins away from Asheville. The brewery around the corner is great also!

Blackberry Lodge is awesome!!!
House is very well setup for families. Plenty of space and activities to keep the kids entertained. Very close to Asheville for easy excursions into the city. If you're lucky enough to stay on a cold and snowy night you won't be disappointed.
Blackberry Ln transforms into an epic sledding hill and the great room sports an awesome wood-burning fireplace for the post-sledding thaw.

Perfect home base for Asheville trip
My family stayed here over the 2021 Christmas holiday, and it was outstanding! The property was decorated for the holidays (including a tree) and is about 15 minutes outside of Asheville, so very close to going to either downtown or Biltmore. There is also a Food Lion about 5 minutes from the house so very convenient for grocery runs. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet - a true oasis in the mountains. The house itself is well equipped with everything you need to cook, including a mixer. My sister-in-law brought hers just in case and we were surprised to see one was there already. The downstairs is just as shown as we enjoyed the pool table enormously!
During out visit, we went to the National Gingerbread Competition, the Winter Lights display (at the NC Arboretum) and of course the Biltmore which is breathtaking and worth another visit. On Christmas Day, since it was so warm, and based on the recommendation of the property manager, we hiked up to Bearwallow Mountain, an easy drive from the house and only about a mile to the top – so a very accessible hike for our group. The view is awesome – highly recommended!
The property managers were accessible and responsive, and it was a true surprise to enter the home and hear Christmas music playing as well as see a gift package on the counter. Everything about the experience was top notch!!! Thank you VRBO and Yonder for an awesome Christmas memory!!!

December stay
Well-maintained and spacious property. Tons of thoughtful details from the hosts - they left bottles of wine, snacks, and had holiday decorations up throughout the house. Really enjoyed our stay!

An excellent choice near Asheville
This is the best property we have rented in the Asheville area. It was well stocked and we had plenty of room. We missed having a TV in the main living area because of the Thanksgiving Day parade and football games. The kitchen could use some under counter lighting. Overall, it is an excellent property!

A wonderful weekend!
This property was perfect for our family of 4 couples and toddlers! Plenty of space and lots of fun amenities like the pool table and ping pong. Yonder was great and gave us a lot of nice tips about local restaurants and places to visit. They even left a birthday card and beer and wine for my husband’s 40th Birthday. Location was convenient and only about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Hidden Gem
This is the perfect getaway spot near Asheville for a family or group of friends. It has everything you need and then some. The billiards and ping pong tables were a huge hit. Owner was very communicative - this was our first time using VRBO and definitely will not be our last!
