About this apartment rental
Enjoy morning coffee or have breakfast on one of the two balconies as you watch the sun rise over the BVI.
Afterwards, don your bathing suits and grab your beach towels to enjoy the two-level pool directly below your condo or spend the day under the sea grape trees that line the beach. Snorkel on the reef directly off the beach (you’ll see coral, topical fish and possibly a sea turtle or ray), or wind surf, kayak or paddle-boat.
Beach toys are available at the fully equipped dive shop on the beach. You can also enjoy a game of beach volleyball on the beach. And the beautiful Mahogany Run golf course is 20 minutes away. Wrap up your day back on the balcony sipping a beverage as you look out on the moon over the ocean.
The Unit: Your 900 sq. ft. two-story villa sleeps up to 6 comfortably, whether they be family or friends. It features a Caribbean decor in an open floor plan, with cathedral ceilings upstairs. The lower floor consists of a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area, and sitting area with a flat screen TV and queen size sofa/bed.
Upstairs there is a king size bed, TV, and another sitting area with a queen size sofa/bed. Both floors have a private balcony with a fabulous down-island view. There is a full bathroom on both floors.
A short walk to the marina at Sapphire Beach offers day cruises including snorkeling excursions, trips to the BVI, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving. Some boats are power, some are sail. You can also rent a jet ski or go parasailing.
Red Hook (small town 1/2 mile away): Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed after a 5-minute taxi ride into Red Hook at one of the many restaurants. Menus range from burgers and fries to exotic Caribbean seafood dishes Molly Malone’s on the waterfront (it’s one of our favorites). There are also 2 modern supermarket (The Food Center and Moe's) where you can provision up if you prefer to eat at home. If you don't want to leave the beach, there is also a small refreshment stand between buildings B&C at Sapphire serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, soft drinks, beer and tropical drinks (hours: 11AM-PM).
Plan on taking the 20-minute ferry ride out of Red Hook to Cruz Bay. St. John’s main town, for shopping, a tour of the island or snorkeling in Trunk Bay with it’s underwater reef markers which describe the coral. The last time we took the ferry it was $7/person each way. You can also catch a ferry to Tortola or Virgin Gorda in the BVI from Red Hook (bring your passport, you will have to clear customs).
Charlotte Amalie (USVI Capital): The 20-minute taxi ride is well worth the trip to Charlotte Amalie to explore the narrow streets called allies or gades for even more eating and duty free shopping. For additional shopping, try the newly built upscale Yacht Harbor Grande or Havensight where the cruise ships dock. There is also a “vendors market” offering inexpensive t-shirts, handbags, island jewelry and artifacts and more. If shopping’s not your thing, explore the many historical landmark buildings through out Charlotte Amalie.
Other things to do include a trip to Mountain Top, the highest point on the island for one of their “world famous” banana daiquiris and spectacular views of Magen’s Bay and beyond, the Coral World aquarium (about 10 minute from Sapphire), a zip line through the jungle, and the Sky Ride gondola ride to Paradise Point above the cruise ship dock. Paradise Point offers panoramic views of Charlotte Amalie.

Loved the location and the beach. Beautiful view! The unit was fine but definitely could use some updating. The kitchen wasn’t very well equipped but we didn’t have much interest in cooking so not really a big deal for us. It would have been nice to have more towels provided. There were 4 of us and only 4 bath towels. I’m sure we could’ve gone to the rental office for more towels but that gets to be a pain. We did borrow beach towels and snorkel gear from the rental office and we were pleased with the quality. The snorkeling on Sapphire beach was great!

Property was as described except there is no dryer in the unit. We had a million dollar view from the condo. Since this was our first trip to St. Thomas, we were not sure what to expect. Resort was family friendly. Resort amenities were nice. Pool is beautiful. Beach was clean.

We did love the condo itself and the ocean swimming was amazing and had chairs for beach set up. The pool renovations happening made it kinda unsafe for our small kids but was still fun. We made it work. Over all the property was beautiful and we enjoyed it. Downtown is close and the food there was really good. Would recommend over the food on site.

Had a great time, location is overlooking pool & beach.
The local restaurants and bar was a 2 minute walk up the beach, super-central location to the north part of St Thomas, Red hook and Coki Beach areas.
Will visit again.

The resort was OK -as with any resort, I suppose, there were nice areas and areas that could use some work. A lot of work. The room was fairly decent, but definitely needed an upgrade, especially the bathrooms, Which really were the worst things about the place. They were very outdated and just old. The balconies could use a little upgrading as well. The facility as a whole was decent. We were little sad that the beach bar and pavilion was not in service. They were working on it and looks like it’ll be a while until they open it. The resort area was pretty decent with a nice little bar, coffee shop, gift shop, pizza shop and restaurant up top that had a beautiful view and delicious food. We had a great time in town-Red Hook.

Sapphire Beach is a great spot for a Carribbean vacation. The views from this condo are excellent. The condo was everything that was listed in the description. John was very communicative during the booking and up to the trip with great suggestions for dinner and things to do. We will definately stay at his place when we return to ST. Thomas!

We enjoyed our stay at Sapphire Beach condos! John was very responsive to questions and provided us maps with locations of places he recommended and gave detailed directions from the airport to the condo.
The balcony views were amazing! The beach was just steps away and the pool was wonderful.
Photos and descriptions of the property are accurate and it comfortably fit our family of 4. We would recommend booking with John!

If you looking for the perfect getaway in St. Thomas LOOK NO FURTHER!!!
This place was everything we could hope for and more! The host was absolutely wonderful! Responded to messages quickly, provided tons of information on the property, the things included, and gave us lots of options for things to do.
John’s place was spotless upon arrival & has everything you need for a paradise getaway.
The beach is literally steps away from your door, and very close to countless restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and the most stunning beaches you’ll ever see! Sunrises on the balcony with a cup of coffee cannot be matched here!!!
The bed and the pullout couches were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed as far as supplies goes
There were extra blankets and pillows, as well as a selection of sunscreen, and two big tubs of snorkeling gear and sand toys. Both floors had an excellent working air-conditioning with two separate thermostats. The bathrooms were very spacious and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need.
This is a great place for a girls getaway, a romantic getaway, or a place for the entire family!!
Do not hesitate to book with John. Trust me, you will not regret it!!

Location was quiet, perfect older group of patrons. No parties. Very low key. Nice bar/restaurant on property. Was able to swim and snorkel and came across sea turtles and stingray right at the beach! Can’t wait to come back.

I gave this five stars because that is all it will let you give it. It deserves ten. Unbelievable views. It is on the quiet end of the beach but a short walk to main part. We have visited St Thomas before but this will be our “ go to “ spot for future visits. No need to look anyplace else. The staff was wonderful and communication with the owner could not have been better.

This condo has everything you need in the very best spot. Not brand new, well loved, but perfect for a family getaway. The pool is great, the beach is fantastic and both are right outside the condo. Snorkel straight off the beach with the gear provided in the condo. Walk 2 minutes to the marina to rent boats and jet skis etc. walk 5 minutes to Sudi’s for a freshly made dinner with something to suit everyone in the family and friendly service. Everyone was very friendly. We went to the Food Center and picked up items to have breakfast and snacks in the condo. Wish the beds had nicer and more pillows, and that the toaster worked, but otherwise terrific stay!

Place worked great for traveling with young children with plenty of space and beds for kiddos. Amazing view and great access to the beach and pool!
Owner is amazing. Our flights got cancelled on the day we were supposed to head home, and without hesitation this host helped us secure housing, truly going above and beyond. When your traveling, especially with young children, this made such a huge impact on us.
Thank you so much for your help and stay at your property! We will be back!

This is a two-story condo facing the ocean at Sapphire Beach, just north of Redhook harbor. There aren’t elevators so keep that in mind. The resort is pretty nice, don’t expect it to be too fancy, but it’s a comfortable place and lots of friendly people. The beach bar is fun, good food and drinks. Sea Salt restaurant is top-notch.
The condo has two balconies overlooking the pool and beach and lovely views. Comfortable bed and full blinds to keep out the morning sun. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it seemed well stocked. Our only complaint is the shower. We couldn’t really regulate the heat and get hot water in there.
The beach got some people in from the cruise ships, but it wasn’t too crowded. I snorkeled some and the unit had snorkeling gear provided. The resort gives you beach towels and chairs.
There is a taxi stand and there’s always a few vans ready to take you anywhere. Redhook is very close and a nice town with good restaurants- we went to Tarpon’s Table and Hook’d. If you want to go to St. John you can take a ferry from the harbor.
Overall a very good place and we wouldn’t mind coming back.

John was a wonderful host. He supplied me with a ton of info prior to our vacation. On our last day, our flight was delayed and he offered for us to stay as long as we needed. Would love to stay here again if we return to St Thomas in the future. Thanks John!!!

We had a great place to stay in St Thomas. The property was clean and easily accessible. The two story villa easily slept four adults. Lots of bathroom vanity space. It had a small kitchen but was perfect for our needs. It had great views from both balconies 😊. It was only a few steps from the beach and the four restaurants were a short walking distance. Our host, John, was incredibly helpful with advice on how to get around, groceries and restaurants. Loved our stay here!

We have stayed at various Sapphire properties over the years. These condos at Sapphire are small, but you don't go there for the room, you go there for the location! Exactly what we were looking for, the price was reasonable, and the host was very accommodating.

This rental and experience was above and beyond what we could have expected. Sapphire Beach and the complex speaks for itself, but this property owner is so organized, helpful and welcoming. The amount of time and effort, details and information provided is like nothing I’ve experienced before. Felt like it was family.
The unit was clean and accommodated us so comfortably with two levels of space/living. The proximity to the water, on the water, pool was immaculate. Food and drinks just right!
Highly recommend!

Nice location, convenient, great beach. Room was nice but can be upgraded. Loved the balcony and the view was great both in the morning and at night. Enjoyed our stay where we wanted to just chill and enjoy the serene waters for few days

The condo was the perfect size. It had everything we needed. The taxis stationed at the resort only charge $6 per person to get to Red Hook which is perfect. The food at the beach bar was very tasty & the coffee from the coffee shop was divine. All in all I enjoyed my stay & look forward to staying here again in the future!

Great stay at John's property. We have stayed at Sapphire many times and this may very well be the nicest unit we have had. John was very communicative and accommodating. He even was thoughtful enough to ask me if there was anything that he could do to improve his condo which I thought was the most telling of his character. Would absolutely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Sapphire Beach. The location was convenient to restaurants, coffee shops (one right on site we frequented daily), grocery stores, and the Red Hook ferry port.
We weren't aware that the pool closure was going to coincide with all but three days of our stay - and I chose this place because of the pool since our three children prefer the pool to the ocean - so that was a disappointment but luckily we maximized the two days we did have access. The pools were fantastic.
Something to note for others is that the power frequently goes off on the island. I'm not sure if this is across the entire island or on the eastern side more so than elsewhere, but the power was off for many hours at a time over the course of a couple of the days during our stay. We just kept the fridge doors shut and spent time by the pool or beach and within a few hours, the power was back on.
Overall, this was a nice place with good amenities. Communication with John was fantastic throughout as well as ahead of our stay. He was wonderful in providing suggestions on things to do, places to see, and any other questions we had before and during the trip. Power outages weren't under his control nor was the pool shutdown.

Location on St Thomas was fantastic. Great views of the ocean & nearby islands. Great sunrise & sunsets. Enjoyed the beach , pool & eating establishments on property. Renting a waverunner from the marina & riding it in the Caribbean is a don't miss opportunity. The proximity to Red Hook & ferry ride to St John & experiences those beaches is also a must do.
