About this house rental

My place is a ranch house surrounded by an acre of green woods. It's close to Long beach (mile away), family-friendly activities such as the blue berry farm (a few blocks away), and exciting nightlife. Enjoy local wineries, breweries, and casinos. You’ll love my place because it's very relaxing and will reunite you with nature. My place is good for couples, groups, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). There are 3 bedrooms, each bed can sleep 2 , additional 2 guests could sleep on the floor mattresses (stored in the garage) or couches if desired. Mosquitos and ticks could get pretty annoying , please bring repellent. There is netted canopy gazebo. Light up a bonfire in a designated fire ring only, bring your own wood or feel free to pick wood from the forest around the property. Make sure fire is not left unsupervised and is put down before going to bed or leaving property. Feel free to use our cookware and dishes, please put dirty dishes in the dishwasher before leaving and turn it on. Beach. Must to do activity! The nearest beach is Long Beach - it's about 20-25 mins walk but if you chose to drive they have no public parking, so chose Washington Park beach instead, it's short 3-5 mins drive via Rd 12 (to the left) , entrance road is across from Blue Chip Casino. If you just came from the beach and have lots of sand on your body -please rinse it off using water hose outside the house before showering. It is OK to take towels from the house to the beach, make sure that sand is shaken off before taking them back inside. Garage - while away we store our stuff in the garage and prefer for our guests not to use it, there is plenty of parking space outside. Garage opener will be in the house to access lawn chairs and grills. Grill - gas grill is available ( stored in the garage) also there is small charcoal grill

This place was close to all the things we wanted to do. It was as described. Maybe a larger trash can as we prepped/cooked some meals and had to set the bag on the floor to hold everything, but was not a deal breaker by any means. The rooms were nice as well as the living area. Would recommend.

This place was perfect for the family. We rented it for a few days, every year we have a family reunion the same time. I’m hoping this place will be available next year for us.

Our stay was amazing. Whether we had a day in or day out. Coming back to this place was awesome and very relaxing. Sitting outside was also amazing. The seating around the fire pit was very nice. The lights were also very pretty. Also any questions we had were answered pretty fast! Overall an amazing stay!

We enjoyed this house near the shores of Lake Michigan. Easy trip to the beach and the dunes in the area. Great restaurants, breweries, and things to do nearby.

This place was perfect for what we needed to get away for the weekend. Host was great about messaging back and provided good advice for restaurants around the area. Nice to have this place close to New Buffalo as well.

5 50+ females stayed at the house and had an amazing time! We loved that we had the best of 2 worlds. Outside campfire and inside luxury. We all really recommend staying here. We will definately return. Thanks so much!!!!

When I got there, I ran into some very unexpected problems with the house that were unacceptable and caused me to leave early, but the owner is very fair and honest and immediately took steps to resolve the problem and refunded my stay.

This is cute casual cottage for a great family get away. The outdoor area is perfect for a family night around the fire. The back porch was darling. The location was great -- rural and wooded, yet quick to access beach, dunes and towns.

Great outdoor spaces to hang out: deck, gazebo, and campfire. Had a great time grilling and was just a couple blocks from Al's grocery store. Wish we could have been able to use the sauna though.

We had a nice stay. The house was clean, the property is on a quiet street, and there are nice touches to welcome guests. The owner was accommodating and very accessible. Would stay again. Kid/family friendly.
