The best location

Perfect spot in the old town, close to the market, the center and attractions. The host was kind and helpful.

Guest house experience in Old town Gori.

The location was central, and we could walk to all the tourist sights, which was great. The room was spacious with a balcony and lots of natural light. We were provided towels and toiletries. The toilet even has a jet spray, which is a great advantage. The host is truly lovely, we arrived early and even though she was just prepping our room she allowed us to go leave our bags there.

However, I am extremely surprised by the ratings and reviews. Georgia in general has definitely baffled me on this. Firstly, due to no fault of their own there was no electricity until 6:30pm in the city and so the house had no power. We returned from sightseeing to a dark room and weren't even offered a candle. Ultimately, we had to go down and request one. One would expect a business to have a generator to provide some basic lights in the house when this happens, but nope, that wasn't the case at Old Town. Given the circumstance, it would have been nice to get a discount on the room rent on account of this, but sadly we weren't offered the option. We paid for a service and experience that wasn't 100% provided, it would have been nice to have a discount Secondly, please know this is a guest house, (Airbnb) which means they let out 2 main bedrooms from their home. The living room & reception were the same and the family sits and relaxes there during the day as one would in their home. We could hear them chit-chat, the TV sounds and all the cooking that was going on in the house. Our room was filled with the smell of the cooking. It felt like we were in their space, which we weren't expecting. The TV was on until quite late at night, and so we could hear it all the way.

Lovely Guesthouse - Perfect Stay

Lovely place. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was spotlessly clean, a nice size, and comfortable. Great air conditioning and WiFi. You have lots of privacy, and it's nice and quiet away from the road. Location is right in the centre. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely stay in the old town

The hotel is in the middle of the old town with a couple of good restaurants around. The room was spacious and comfortable and I slept really well. The staff were friendly and helpful. The whole hotel was very clean and pleasant.

There were no toiletries in the bathroom and a kettle in the room would be nice.

Pleasant, basic accomodation in Gori

Very sweet family and gave us a kettle so we could make coffee/tea in the room. Good location with authentic restaurant around the corner.

New mattresses needed, could feel the springs. Water pressure low in the shower.

Nice place to stay in Gori

Nice place to stay in Gori. Room was clean and comfortable. Toilet was a bit small, but clean and equipped in all necessary stuff. Located in strict city centre. Hosts were really kind and helpfull. They helped us a lot in finding a direct transportation to Kutaisi, just an evening before of our planned trip. Usually there aren't direct buses etc to Kutaisi, but our Host have made about 15 phone call to find something for us and help us.

Old Town is in the...you'll never guess...old town of Gori. Opposite is a wonderfully crumbling ruin of a house. Only a handful of rooms here in this friendly place, but great quality. Most rooms have a balcony, which is a fine bonus. No English spoken, but that should not really be a problem.

Beautiful house located in old city of Gori (walking distance to fort, Stalin Museum and old town). Nice quiet room in courtyard. Friendly hosts.

the room was different from the booking. bathroom was always wet after shower(different from the picture). I think owner allocated us to other room type. previous guest was smoked in room even though no smoking room so it was bad sleep for us.

Great location, friendly/helpful staff, generally nice room.

The room was too cold (though it is wintertime). The shower pressure was too weak. The door was too thin (but there wasn't much noise going on in the hotel anyways)

The owners are nice people. They tried their best, even if they don't speak any English (Russian is the most widely used wildcard language in the country). Clean room and bathroom. AC works. TV with internacional channels...

I didn't enjoy the breakfast (first time in Georgia along two weeks, but taste, is something really personal). I like that the information that appears in Booking corresponds to reality: they do not accept cards and breakfast was not included in the cost of the room. The sheets did not cover the matress...
