We held our Friendsgiving at this house and loved every second of it. Beautiful, interesting home capable of housing a big group. Easy to get to. Would definitely stay again!

Great place for our wedding party and family during nearby Hudson, NY wedding. Great stay!

Beth, the manager, is great but the property lacked a cottage room because of a wet carpet and a musty order that made it inhabitable (they did refund 10% thankfully). There was a leak in a shower drain on the second floor that must have caused a horrible smell in the TV room below because they used an unpleasant artificial fragrance to cover it up. This smell made the TV room unusable for the adults. The air conditioning was very inefficient during hot days in the mid to upper 80s. In general the lighting was dark. We gathered in the small sitting room with the vinyl record player where there was adequate light. There was an eclectic record collection that was appreciated by all. The kitchen was fine and all the beds were comfortable. Ignoring the routine maintenance issues that led to water leaks ,the property is 4 star in my opinion and not considered luxury.

This property was perfect for a group of ten 30 year old friends with plenty of room for more. We had two dogs with us and they loved waking up to the enormous yard every day. We had a small issue with the heat and hot water the first day but Beth was so quick to send someone to fix it and went out of her way to bring us baked goods as an apology. I was very impressed by how well kept this house was and how much the management/owner cares about pleasing the tenants. It was pretty much fully stocked, we never had to buy any toilet paper or any cleaning supplies etc. Overall so satisfied with the stay and would absolutely book again.

We had a lovely weekend at Eugene's property. The front yard is perfect for chilling and games. The fireplace in the living room keeps everyone warm and is a great gathering space. One watch out is that if you have dogs, ticks are prevalent so keep an eye on them, but that is just nature. Overall, highly reccomend. Each room provides a nice oasis for couples but good public gathering spaces.

This property has incredible potential but is poorly maintained. It isn't. We arrived to find the dishwasher gone and the kitchen was without hot water. Although we had been told the dishwasher would be replaced, it never was and there was never hot water in the kitchen. Beth did deliver paper products--plates, cups, bowls--but we were cooking for as many as nine people which requires pots, pans, and silverware. I'm not sure how the kitchen was cleaned after we left, because after eight days there still was no dishwasher or hot water.
It's such a beautiful house on amazing groups, but the kitchen needs to be reappointed. It's an ICU of barely operating kitchen appliances. Bring your own coffee pot! Someone needs to go through the drawers and cabinets and throw out the junk.
Some of the bedrooms smell heavily of mildew and many of the windows could not be opened, so we couldn't air out the house at night when it got cooler outside. Beth did refund 10% of our fee, but we understood that refund would be predicated on eventually getting a functioning kitchen. Yes, Covid complicates things, but this is a costly rental with expectations that the bare minimum of a functioning kitchen, especially at the time of Covid, would be provided.

I cannot say enough about my experience. From start to finish, everything went better than I could have imagined. The property manager Beth was amazing. So sweet! Very accommodating and responsive. We rented this property to have an intimate wedding ceremony with my (now) husband and our 7 children. I was looking for something rustic, vintage... historic. And that is exactly what I got. The quality time we got to spend as a family was priceless. There is a game/media room, but we never even turned on the tv. We played frisbee in the front yard, and spent our nights sitting around the dining room table enjoying the games from the library. We cooked and ate together (there is a Hannafords less than 10 minutes away so very convenient). Laid in the hammocks and sat by the pond watching the fish. We even saw a crayfish in there! The grounds were beautiful with the trees in new bloom, and I could not think of a better place to start our new life together.

Beth was very responsive with communication. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed our long girls weekend! I would only say for a house that slept that many people there was not enough stuff in the kitchen.

our family of 15 found the barn lovely. Centrally located for activities. Plenty of hideaway spaces for private moments. Beth very responsive to questions. Great lawn and pond area for some exploring as well as nearness to walking hiking areas.
Only suggestion kitchen area could be organized a bit better.

The barn is huge and comfortably accommodated 11 adult and two children. There are lots of bedrooms and privacy. The grounds are beautiful.
Although the barn is very large the common areas are spread out and on the smaller side. The kitchen is tight if you are a large group that enjoys cooking.

What a beyond beautiful house. We had a group of 13 and it was perfect. It was spacious and had so much character. The grounds were also absolutely gorgeous.

The house is so unique and the property is really special. The pond is not for swimming, but it did have fun animals to visit - frogs, snakes, and fish! The house is very old and quirky. The kitchen and outdoor dining area needed a bit more cleaning, but the rest of the house was clean. Overall, it's a beautiful property.

We enjoyed this home over New Years weekend and had a wonderful time. The grounds are sweeping and well-maintained, and the house is perfectly appointed, clean, and full of charm. Our party of 11 had plenty of room to spread out and relax, but also come together for dinner and games in front of the fireplace. Beth was available to answer any questions and helped make our stay a seamless one. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for having us!

Visited with my wife, had an incredible stay. The home has incredible character and is tucked away in a lovely, peaceful plot of land. Limitless options of activities in the area.

From the moment of arrival you will be blown away by the beautiful house. Sweeping up the drive you have a full view of the front of the house which sets the tone for what you will find inside.
The house is clean and extremely comfortable with ample space to decide if you want to stay with the group in front of the giant fire or if you want to snuggle your self away in the library balcony area (my favourite location in the house). Not to mention the private area by my bedroom in the tower that I could also seclude myself away.
The kitchen is fully equipped and very comfortable to cook in. With a dishwasher the cleanup is a breeze. Make sure you look around in the dining room for extra bowls and plates for serving.
Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were which is the most important thing for me when I go to visit somewhere for a weekend.
The design throughout the house is cute and personal with each area telling you a story. The decor of the house with the wooden design is beautiful and the brick floors are stunning. One thing I was concerned about that was unnecessary was how warm the house was going to be. The house was lovely and warm with easily controlled tempature control throughout.
We visited in March when there was still snow on the ground but this didn’t stop us from walking through the grounds enjoying the view of the Catskills Mountains and of course the tyre swing which in my opinion just gets better with age. I will defiantly be back in the summer to make use of the outdoor seating and dining areas which I would have braved but my companions were not as brave.
There is a wonderful local guide provided by the hosts stuck to the fridge. This guide was wonderful and as a group we split up and tried multiple areas. The local town of Hudson is beautiful and an antique lovers dream come true.
There is a cute diner from the 1940’s less than 5 minutes away that is great if you aren’t feeling the breakfast cooking vibe.
WiFi is also provided in the house should you decide to stay in contact with the outside world.

The house is simply amazing as a getaway from busy city lives- its enchanting wooden treehouse-like insides, beautiful grounds and a location close to lovely upstate New York towns creates a perfect atmosphere of calm and serenity. It is large but feels absolutely cozy and homely. I spent an amazing weekend there with a group of friends, who all had a wonderful time. We cooked our own food in the well-equipped kitchen, lounged and played games in the living room next to a real fireplace and had walks in a nearby forest. Overall, I recommend this house to anyone who wants to feel the comforts of home but be away from the crazy city life- this place brings joy and peace!

The house is such a beautiful setting to get away from the noise of the city. Plenty of space for a group to spend some quality time together, explore nature, or see the sights in the area. Very convenient for getting a bit of skiing in while you're there too.
