The host was very attentive, kind, and the property was better than expected. My family and I enjoyed the dog friendly garden suite which had a nice patio entrance that looked over yard.

Everything about the B&B was perfect. Especially Loretta, my host. I’ll never stay anywhere else. Thank you for your incredible hospitality. And breakfasts!

This bed and breakfast was immaculately clean, in a good location, beautiful outside areas for spending time outdoors, and a wonderful made to order breakfast which included coffee, juice, fruit, and your breakfast meal choice. The owner, Loretta was extremely knowledgeable of the area and was able to suggest restaurants and things to see nearby and we were not disappointed with her many suggestions. I would definitely return to this B&B as well as a this beautiful area.

We chose Changing Times because it had a 10 / 10 rating. Our quick weekend getaway only allowed for a one night stay, but the 10/10 rating was completely justified. The room was large and well decorated, the house was clean and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and the owner was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to.
Wish we had more time to stay.

The proprietor of this B &B, Loretta, is the nicest, most accommodating person I’ve met. Room was beautiful; we stayed in the pet friendly suite. Everything was sparkling clean. Breakfast was fabulous.

Our second time staying here was even more lovely than the first! We brought more family members after our great experience last year. We love the easy check in, cozy comfortable rooms, lots of extras (books and DVDs in the hallway, sweet treats downstairs and in the rooms) and Loretta is the BEST host! She makes an exquisite breakfast and accommodates our early start time. Can’t wait to stay here again.

My boyfriend and I had a great 2 night stay at Changing Times B&B! We wanted to find a place in the vicinity of The School gallery in Kinderhook, and orchards for apple picking. Changing times was within 30 min of both (we went to Greig farm for apples and other fall treats - so good!) and it was one of the more affordable options in the area. Not only that, it was so quaint and cozy! Cleanliness was A+, and the little decor details are sweet and quirky (not dusty or creepy like some other B&Bs lol). Loretta is an extremely gracious host, and she makes a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Texting with her about check-in, breakfast and other questions was very convenient. We felt welcome and taken care of, and never smothered. Highly recommended!!

This stay was just absolutely wonderful. We ended up without somewhere to stay for Christmas last minute and Lorretta just made our stay so lovely. The room and beds were super cozy and convenient, and the bathroom was spacious and gorgeous. Breakfast at the inn was amazing, three courses, fresh fruit and baked goods. We couldn’t have ended up at a nicer place. Everything was clean, the decor was very inviting, and was a very welcoming place overall. 100% would recommend, and thank you so much for making our Christmas special.

Even though it’s just off HWY 82 Changing Times is one of those inns that makes up for its location by being a delightful clean and efficient place to rest.
Not to forget the great breakfast to order and the simply wonderful Loretta!

Conveniently located just off the Taconic, Changing Times is a warm and cozy B and B for stays in the Capital Region. After a restful night on the pillow-topped mattress, we awoke to the smell of freshly baked blueberry muffins. Host, Loretta, graciously prepared a delicious three-course breakfast. Changing Times appears to have anticipated a guest’s every need: coffee/tea bar, wine, chocolates, fresh fruit, books, DVDs. And they have added an additional dining table to provide guests with discrete dining areas. We were only able to spend one night. But Loretta told us about all of the local attractions - there was a guide pamphlet in our room as well. We will definitely return.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Our room was romantic, with carefully chosen furniture and appointments. The rest of the B & B was similar and tastefully decorated in a Victorian flair. The dining room was beautiful centered with a large oak table and chairs. Everywhere we looked were unique decor items. Best of all, our innkeeper Loretta was very attentive and accommodating. Breakfast started with homemade muffins each morning and followed by fresh fruit, juice, coffee and eggs served to order. Conversation was easy and when we left, we felt that we had made a friend. Hugs were shared along with a promise that we would return.

Room was detached from the rest of the house. The room was clean and well stocked. The innkeeper came right out to meet us and she was friendly and helpful. She cooked up whatever we wanted for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

The owner, Loretta, is kind and friendly. She gave us check-in code and key for seamless entrance at our convenience. The home is comfy, with local antiques, gorgeous lawn, with wonderful plantings. The fresh baked muffins every morning are worth the visit.
Very easy location to everything and wallet friendly nightly rate.
Hope to visit again, maybe when it's cold, so we can try the in-room fireplace!

I like the quietness and beauty of the place and so many things around to enjoy: interesting small cities and waterfalls.

Honestly, a truly friendly bed and breakfast feel. Quiet house with only a couple rooms and lots of comfy space. Three course breakfast of muffins, pancakes and eggs cooked to order. The amazing hotel owner was extremely friendly and is a great cook. The interior is classic and tasteful American farmhouse, but nothing feels dated it’s all well appointed. Rooms are spacious, comfy and wel appointed: water is provided, a small fireplace, tv, sitting area and comfy seating. Very clean bathroom and everything works as it should. This is a place that you will want to return to.
