Rocks Cabin

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Rocks Cabin is a unique, rustic home located on a one-acre private beachfront lot and is in a gated community. Situated 50 feet above sea level, the home is approximately 200 feet from the sand dunes, affording a great perch and unobstructed view of the beach, surf, and ocean sights. Described as a botanical paradise with completely native old-growth vegetation, including false Lily of the Valley, Indian Celery, various types of rainforest ferns, flowers, and native plants. Tucked in the old-growth Sitka Spruce Conifers, privacy is optimum. This home is an ideal spot for bird-watching, and winter storm-watching is incredible! The roar of the surf can be amazing, even from inside the cabin.

The cabin itself is rustic in decor, with a wood-burning fireplace. Electric heat is also available to ensure your comfort. A ladder with a handrail takes you to the loft area, which offers two twin beds. The ladder has a 300 lb. weight limit.

Below Rocks Cabin is a long and wide expanse of gorgeous shoreline that, even in the height of summer, you may find you have all to yourself. This beach is also the only designated light airplane airstrip on the entire Pacific Coast, so get ready for airway commuters to drop in for a morning spring razor clam dig. Gray whales migrate by Copalis in April/May and Oct/Nov. The blows can be seen with the naked eye from the cabin, but bring binoculars to get better views.

The well-maintained private path to the beach is utterly delightful! Take a nice stroll through towering trees and blossoming vegetation with seasonal babbling brooks. You are just over five miles from the quaint town of Pacific Beach to the north, about 45 minutes from Lake Quinault and its beautiful trails through the rainforest, and a short drive to Ocean Shores, where you will find the Casino, many restaurants, and activities for the kids.

There is access to a level 2 charging stations for EV's - its about two blocks away from the rocks cabin. $10 flat fee - must make a reservation to use the station.

Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Copalis Beach is closed to motor vehicles from April 15 - Sept 1 (except during active razor clam openings). The only way to access the beach in front of the cabin is to use the Roosevelt Beach public access (north on Highway 109 - about 4 miles) and then drive south on the sandy beach. When you reach the Iron Springs Resort, you will have to ford the Iron Springs River. This can be difficult (and dangerous) if the water levels are high. Many people choose to turn around here, rather than continue to the beach in front of the Rocks cabin.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Such a beautiful, peaceful rustic cabin with lots of privacy, a great view and sounds of the Pacific Ocean in a gated community. We love the open floor plan, wood beamed ceilings, wood floors, lots of west-facing windows, the free-standing fireplace, comfortable furnishings and a private deck for barbecuing, sun-bathing, reading and just relaxing. We didn't mind the stairs and path to the beach, but it might be difficult for some. Short drive to a community grocery store and the Green Lantern pub. If you are looking for a shiny, modern, high-tech place or lots of social activity - this is not the place for you. We plan to be back as often as we can!

This rustic basically one room cabin is very cute and the setting is amazing. It was a wonderful experience to be so close to a quiet section of a beach. Unfortunately the owners sold out to a bad property management company Vacasa. It is very hard to find the cabin and we were at the end of the trail after a long day of driving at somebody else's cabin. We called Vacasa but they were no help in getting instructions so we had to drive around steep narrow roads until we found the cabin. Once inside it was nice, the one bedroom has large opening to the main room with only a curtain hanging there so it is not really a room to separate loud sleepers to allow others quiet. Some of the dishes were dirty forcing us to clean before use and there was not enough dishwasher soap keep up so we had to do dishes by hand. The view and deck were very nice and we enjoyed many trips to the beach. Once back in the cabin and time to clean up the shower did not work. Another call to Vascasa resulted in nothing more promise that a ticket was put in to the local crew and we would be contacted soon. We were never contacted and had to take baths. The log book and story of the house are all wonderful and it is nice place with good working heaters and plenty of blankets for that rustic feel but much of that is lost by a horrible management company such as Vacasa. Going forward I will never rent a place managed by Vacasa again, this place has so much potential if only it were maintained.

We loved the emptiness of the beach and the trees surrounding the cabin, making it feel like your own private hideaway. However, it has serious mechanical and safety problems that aren’t mentioned online. The signage from the highway is not obvious, neither is the property’s location. Despite all this, once these issues are addressed, we’d happily return to this cabin for another stay.

This is an older cabin with an awesome view. Big South West facing windows and deck make for a nice bright space. The beach is great, with limited vehicle traffic.

Superb location for a beachfront getaway! Private and the deck is to die for....watch the ocean. You are roughly 100 feet above so you get a really good view. Plenty of cooking utensils/pots/pans, etc. I did bring my coffee setup as I'm partial to using Keureg. I no longer make coffee the old way. I love the log books they have there. Be sure to write in them about your experience. Fun reading mine and others from years back. In season, good razor clamming just steps away. Fishing off the beach can be good at times. The trees outside do drip sap so bring a tarp to cover over your car if you are picky about that. One tip....peanut butter removes the sap easily. Just rub it over the sap! Definitely rustic and the front door is feeling it's age. Really have to make sure it is fully closed. I deadbolted it when inside. The lack of WIFI sucks, but I keep coming back! Wonderful place to visit!

The location, views, access to the beach and being dog friendly is what makes this cabin wonderful!! Rustic but comfortable overall. Clean but my allergies acted up after a few hours sitting on the couch by the window. Pillows and bed need upgrading. Really great water pressure. Follow directions they share since google maps takes you to the bottom trail section instead of the home once you enter the gated area.
