motel is FILTHY AND RUNDOWN- stay ANYWHERE ELSE

Did not stay because it was so dirty. I messaged booking customer service days ago to verify cancellation and refund and haven’t heard a response…. UPDATE 2/2/24 Office gal tried to assist me in refund, booking.com and owner kept giving me the runaround. NEVER RECEIVED REFUND. Motel is absolutely disgusting. Towel racks broken, floor dingy with visible dirt and hair, "kitchen" was filthy, and overall unkempt, rundown room. We feared catching a disease so left and was told the room would be cancelled and refunded. NEVER RECEIVED REFUND AND WAS TOLD IF IT'S ANY CONSOLATION I CAN LEAVE A PROPERTY REVIEW! Yes leaving a review is just like having my hard earned money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WILL NEVER USE PRICELINE.COM OR BOOKING.COM AGAIN. What a joke!! DO NOT STAY AT THE ROUNDTOP MOUNTAIN VISTA AS THEIR HYGIENCE LEVEL IS REPULSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cabin was frozen when we got in, they did not stock toiletries there beds are horrible it's amazing the place hasent burned down due to schety electrical work, wall plugs hanging down a cheep dollar tree extension cord to power a old hot plate doesn't look like the owner cares

it was awful. mattresses where also awful!

the outside of the cabin was cute.

the kitchen had a small coke refrigerator which was fine but was plug in to one of the many extension cords. the shower ran all night. when you showered you stood in at least 3 or 4 inches of water, and it was not a tub. I put a towel on the base of shower because it looked a little gross. the toilet rocked both ways when you sat on it. the stove was a cook top only, placed on a cabinet door from an old cabinet that also plugged in to the extension cords. there was no working tv, no WiFi, no outlet in the bathroom. had to blow dry hair by the stove top. The faucet in bathroom was at least a foot tall so when you turned it on it squirted you and everything around it. there was a printed sign to tell you how to turn it on so you wouldn’t get wet. The entry door which opened to outside only had a push button lock, so there was no deadbolt or anyway to make it more secure. I thought a 7.6 rating meant the place would be at least finished but it was not. tile work was left half finished. I don’t know that I will be using booking anymore. I didn’t think you had a place this bad on your sight and don’t feel as though I can trust you. there was an emergency number to call in the night but I don’t believe a non working tv or any of the other items would be considered an emergency.

Close to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center

The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was close to the Dinosaur Center.

This is a no frills motel. Nothing fancy or anything like that. However, we knew that going in so we weren't disappointed. There isn't a lot to choose from in that area and we were only there to visit the Dinosaur Center. It served it's purpose.

Great little motel in the fun town of Lava Hot Springs.

We had a couple of emergencies on our trip to the area. I had a non-cancellable reservation and could not make it to the motel as planned. I called, and they were very flexible. They were able to release our room and allow us to reschedule our reservation when we knew what our new travel dates were. Exceptional customer service!!

There were only two things that were annoyances. One they can attempt to rectify, the other they can't. #1. The room had a heavy chemical smell from the cleaning agents they used. It would be nice if they could try and address the smell (the room was very clean, but the cleaning smell was strong). #2. Also, the road noise is pretty loud throughout the night, but due to the motel's location, there is nothing they can do about this. We just ran the AC fan all night.

Can’t Wait To Come Back!!!

I love the property’s closeness to the numerous hot springs and the cabins are an excellent change of pace from your typical hotel rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed like they cared about our stay and making it nice.

I have no complaints about the property. It is a great value for the price and a comfortable stay.

We needed a place to sleep for the night. Exactly what we expected - great value for the price.

Reserved online - easy. Called to inform of late check-in: they provided late check in instructions - easy. Arrived: warm room, comfortable bed, quiet sleeping, good location. Checked out by dropping keys in box - all done. Easy!

Good value for our travel needs.

We went out for Breakfast since there was a good cafe in town. This was a cozy hotel, very western/country feeling. It was clean and people were friendly. Accomodations were fine. At this point in the trip we had already stayed at some of the overpriced places in the Yellowstone/Grand Tetons area and were hoping for a clean, pleasant hotel, affordable hotel in town, which we got . (It is not on a mountain top, by the way; it has a view of a butte called Round Top Mountain.) Our room did not have a chain lock or dead bolt and was on the first floor. Our friends had a chain lock. So not a high-security place if you are transporting valuables.

There was an older guy around the check-in area who offered to help take in our suitcases but he never actually made a move to do so. He was very friendly and talkative with plenty of stories. He seemed drunk but it may have been something else. We saw him a couple of other times in similar condition. Not threatening, just part of the local color, I think.

Pathetic; SAVE YOUR MONEY! Humans deserve better than this.

No breakfast offered

This place was the pits. It lost it’s charm in 1965. No tissues in the room. Old ancient “air conditioning”, bed was unbelievably old and super uncomfortable; when showering, at first temp was normal then suddenly changed-by itself-to scalding then to freezing cold and back to normal. This happened off & on during the duration of this highly eventful shower “experience”. Had we not booked mistakenly with booking dot com, we would’ve demanded our money back. Oh, and we were greeted with numerous flies in our room. Nice front desk lady though.

Worst ever!

nothing! we were miserable!

The room was so dirty and dusty. it was the worst room we’ve ever had & we’ve been traveling for 50 years. The sheets were red so we couldn’t see if they were clean. We could not get the ac turned off so we froze. Was not about to put the dusty blanket on. I thought about sleeping in the car. We got up early & got out of there after a miserable night. The picture shows the front porch to the office all nice and clean, well it’s actually stacked with boxes & junk. Hasn’t been swept in forever.

We had a wonderful stay. Many things to do.

The hotel is nice and a good value. There is an ice cream shop nearby as well as a miniature golf (had the ice cream, but did not golf) Thermopolis is a neat town. They have many things to do including the Hot Springs Bath House, which is free. Also, the suspension bridge and drive nearby to see Bison.

Not a lot of restaurants to eat. The diner was good for breakfast and would have eaten there for dinner, but did not know it was there
