Lovely cottage and wonderful host!

The house is very clean, well equipped and very comfortable, the front and back gardens are a bonus and we sat out every evening. The location is perfect for getting around-the beach at Hunmanby Gap is lovely with a great little cafe on the way down, we walked along the beach to Filey , visited Castle Howard,, Flamingoland, Sewerby Hall and got the little coast train into Bridlington. There is a lot to offer, lovely places to visit but we ran out of time! Would highly recommend fish and chips from the village, delicious and very reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the host is contactable if you need anything(we didn’t) this really is a great holiday home, we would love to return.

From the moment we arrived and saw the property and the grounds in which it stood, we we loved it. Middle Cottage is immaculately kept, much more spacious than we imagined, and so clean. Comfy beds, great shower. The gardens were a bonus, so lovely to sit out in and enjoy the many flowers.
The Cottage owner messaged us to wish us a happy holiday, and a friendly neighbour asked if we needed anything.
A short and very pleasant walk into the village (Hunmanby Pantry recommended, amazing treats!). Hunmanby Gap beach only 6 minutes drive away, lovely little cafe there.
We were sad when this holiday came to an end, and will definitely return.

Very nice cottage our first time using vtbo
The only thing to say was it would have been good to have a pint of milk to make a drink we were less than an hour away but after a long journey this would have been much appreciated

Well stocked with cooking utensils, crockery etc. Worked well with dogs. Great location with shops nearby. Could do with a information folder made up rather than bits in a drawer. Concerning all windows locked. Great stay

Home from home for us and does what it says on the tin!!
Hunmamby has lots to offer both as a sleepy village with plenty pubs and eateries or a perfect base to strike out for local coastal visits
The cottage is next to a well tended 9 Holroyds golf course with 2 teeing off positions on each hole and for a good knock about for £15 is good value. Also a walk around the perimeter of the course in woodland shade is excellent value for £1 per person and a good mile.
Really enjoyed and will return so thanks to Phil and all

Deceptively large living spaces. Very clean with everything we needed to ensure a lovely quiet holiday experience. The neighbours were very friendly. Communications regarding the holiday were good. Thank you very much. We may want to come back in the future and if the whole crew get involved we may need to book Andrew's place as well in the corner.

Perfect family cottage
Stayed here for my big birthday with my family, beautiful place fully equipped from dog brush to baked beans, like home from home watched a dvd and played the cube board game which was in cupboard, highly recommend so funny, might buy for Xmas season. Dogs are welcome which is rare. Village walkable train station 10 mins away, weather was warm making my magical birthday even better. No problems what’s so ever, even got a text from Phil on route wishing us nice stay, any problems he's only a call away xx would stay again xx

Fantastic accommodation and location
The property was fantastic and furnished like a home rather than a rental, very comfortable and cosy while still being dog friendly and teenage suitable. Hunmanby is a great central base for so many areas to visit. The swan pub in the village do fantastic food and are really friendly, we will definitely stay there again.

EVERYTHING about this place was just perfect. The cottage is much bigger than it looks on the photos. All the little touches were there to make it really homely - really appreciated the use of side lamps in the lounge. This is the best place we've ever stayed. Well-equipped in terms of kitchen utensils, etc. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and really hope we do because the area is lovely and it felt like we only scratched the surface! The village is a 3 mins walk from the property and there are 3-4 pubs, a bakery (the individual banoffee pies are so good, i ate mine at about 10am whilst driving back home on our last day), butchers, Co-op, tea-room, 2 take-aways and a fish and chip shop. The grounds are really beautiful too.

Stunning cottage
Easy check in. Beautiful quiet location in Hunmanby. Fabulous location (Lovely pubs and pub grub very close by if needed). Cottage beautiful throughout. Extremely clean and well kept. Really cosy and everything supplied that you need for a stay. Beds extremely comfy.
We used it as a base to travel east coast. We decided to stay in one day just so we could enjoy the cottage.
Phil was always on hand if needed.
Will definitely book again. It’s definitely a gem of a place. Thank you

A restful stay? Absolutely.
WOW!! We have never used VRBO before and this was our first stay in a rented cottage. One word - SUPERB.
From first impressions to last this was a great property in a lovely location.
Lots of extra touches to make guests feel welcome and a comfortable neat tidy decore.
I think we will need to go back again to this cottage to finish off our sightseeing.
This felt like a real home from home and l cannot recommend it enough. A real gem and we are missing it (and village) already.

Lovely comfortable cottage in good location
We really enjoyed our stay at Middle Cottage. The location was perfect for us, we were able to explore various parts of the coast by car but had easy walking access to Hunmanby village (would recommend a visit to The Pantry - delicious cakes!).
The dog walk around the golf course was great for a walk in the morning. We enjoyed several visits to Hunmanby gap beach (a short car drive and plenty of parking available). Would highly recommend a stay at Middle Cottage. The cottage was comfy, clean and well equipped with lovely gardens to sit in both front and back.

Fabulous retreat away from it all.
Great experience from start to finish. Very straight forward check in and good communication with owner. The property itself had everything we needed for a relaxing few days and is beautifully furnished, spacious and homely. The cottage is set in the grounds of Hunmanby Hall a former school, now an upmarket apartment complex. There is a great track around the golf course to walk dogs which is 100m away from the front door. Filey is a just over an hour’s walk away and Scarborough a 20 minute drive. Train also regularly runs to both towns if you want to leave the car at home. Hunmanby has shops and pubs if you don’t want to go far. Would highly recommend this lovely rural retreat.
