Downstairs includes the kitchen, dining and living rooms as well as separate toilet, bathroom with shower, 2 large bedrooms featuring water views and Queen beds, and a third bedroom with single bunk beds.
The kitchen comes totally equipped with everything imaginable including an XL airfryer, dishwasher, nespresso machine (BYO pods), kitchenaid stand mixer, toastie maker, blender and smoothie maker. An 8-seater dining table facilitates communal feasting and competitive board-gaming, and the expansive lounge has a 75" smart tv and Bluetooth speakers. Unlimited wifi, SKY (including Sports), an extensive DVD and games collection as well as plenty of books and magazines provide numerous options for rainy/lazy days.
Upstairs is a huge Master bedroom featuring a California King bed, office desk and sitting area overlooking the water, a flat screen TV with DVD player and chrome cast and an ensuite. An ottoman that opens out into a single bed offers more sleeping options. Between the ensuite and the Master room is a smaller bedroom with single bed trundler and additional room for a portacot if needed. The deck has fantastic views right down to the harbour and is the place to be for tea, coffee and books during the day or sundowners into the evening.
This property comes beautifully equipped for young families with 2 portacots with mattresses, a highchair for babies, a wooden highchair for toddlers, an umbrella stroller, body board, books and toys provided. For the adults there is a games room in the garage which includes a 7ft pool table and dart board. There are weights and a bosu ball for those who like to earn their down time.
In the cooler months heat-pumps in the lounge and Master bedrooms, individual heaters in other bedrooms, electric blankets for the Queen beds and extra blankets are available to keep you toasty warm.
There is plenty of parking both on-site (including one space under a carport) and off for a boat and cars.
This home is maintained to an excellent standard by a fabulous local cleaner and linen and towels are included in the cost so you can pack light! Please note that bed-making and bbq/games room cleaning is not included in order to keep costs to a minimum.
Located down a private drive and surrounded by native birds you will find this home to be incredibly peaceful while being only a 10-minute walk down the hill into town, making it a great base from which to explore and enjoy beautiful Akaroa.

Was happy with this property and ease of checkin. It has everything you need for a long weekend with nothing locked away - kids toys, books, fishing rod - even bait you can use. Thanks for the stay.

After we found the right road (there was no road sign at the start of the road) and negotiated the steep drive we found a very pleasant and well-appointed property. It had everything you need for group or family holiday. There are some repairs needed in the downstairs bathroom, but everything worked well.
We were an older group of men and had plenty to do and a family group would find even more.

This was perfect for our family stay of 6 adults, 1 x 7 year old and a 7 month old baby. Well equipped and with plenty to keep the 7 year old amused especially as the weather was very wet! We will return sometime!

all good but bunks are not 2 single beds as information said in a VERY small room for 70 + age group

We were happy with the accomodation, although a little tired. It rained all weekend and were impressed at all the games and entertainment available to keep the kids and ourselves occupied. Over all, a very relaxing weekend.

Our group of six ladies came to Akaroa to walk The Banks Pennisula Track. Seaclusion was our base for two days after the walk to explore Akaroa. Lovely house with lots of room for us to spread out. Well provisioned with everything we needed. We even enjoyed the walk into and back from town

Lovely location walking distance from Akaroa, our kids loved the pool table and darts and we enjoyed sitting on the little balcony.

Couple of feedback comments - would be great if there was body wash provided and extra toilet paper.
Some towels might need a few washes. They were dry but the ones that felt wet when you used them.
We were down for a family wedding so did not spend a great deal of time at the property.

Great location although the driveway is quite steep to get out off. The pool table and games were much appreciated and the property was large enough to have everyone together or to have their own space. Well equipped kitchen and large dinning table. Excellent communication from Annette, the property manager.

Excellent location and well set up property for a family with small kids - especially one travelling light (ie from rural Australia for us). Plenty to keep the kids occupied when the weather wasn’t on our side and lots to explore nearby when it was. Would also be great for multiple families/larger groups - would recommended fighting for the main bedroom upstairs! Great view and super comfy super huge bed

This house is just perfect for big groups . We were 6 mums getting away for the weekend plenty of space . The bird sounds , view out the kitchen window ( ever changing mountain backdrop ) the view from the front lawn while sipping on wine and the sun setting .
Very comfortable beds and decent couches in the lounge room ( a lot of places have crappy uncomfortable couches ) these were great . I really could have stayed longer . Very helpful host . You have a wonderful house

The house was well set up for extended family with grandparents upstairs & young children & their parents downstairs.
Great toys for the kids and just enough outside to keep them very happy. Thrilled that towels for the beach were also available.
Stunning views from the upstairs deck. Great place for sundowners.
House comfortable and relaxed with great provision of staples.

Arrival in dark very difficult, very steep access road down to house, definitely helps having the house location notes which we hadn't received unfortunately. Need to know in advance that a house alarm exists and what code is which we hadn't received). Otherwise a nice quiet location with bird song in the morning. Would be nice in summer on deck I imagine. Owner very apologetic for not sending information sheet due to illness.

The property was perfect for a large group of us celebrating my mothers 80th. Worked fine but furnishings and interior a bit tired. A couple of the chairs around dining table were broken. Photos make it look a bit less tired than it really is. Still was fine for what we wanted
