This Nautical-themed house is conveniently located just 2 blocks from the Historical Surf ballroom and 150 ft away from public access to the lake.

Perfectly located just off of North Shore Drive, this peaceful area is within walking distance to all the attractions that Clear Lake has to offer. Bedding, bath towels, coffee maker with coffee and basic kitchen necessities provided. Back entrance mudroom is a great place to drop all your beach gear after a beautiful day at the lake.

Cable, wi fi, larger beds and a queen, raised air mattress have been added. Please note there is a required navigation of three stairs (handrail provided) to access the property and therefore, it is not handicap accessible.

it was really nice. The only thing that was unfortunate is the coffee maker literally took 2 hrs to make 8 cups of coffee. LOL Clear lake is great!

We were here for an event at the Surf Ballroom and the location was perfect. Our only feedback would be to fix the bathroom door to latch (also saw that in another review), lower the microwave (we are short) and have a luggage rack or stand in the second bedroom. All things that didn't impact us significantly, but would have been nice. Thank you!

This little cottage is a great location to stay if you’re attending a show at the Surf. Only 2 blocks to the ballroom and a block from the lake. Gray restaurants close by as well. Check in and communication with the owner was very easy. Carrie responded to all our questions timely. Will definitely stay there again.

It’s an ideal location and had everything we needed. The Only thing was there was a lot of bugs and the bathroom door didn’t close all the way. You had to use the bathroom with the door slightly open, which wasn’t great.

Very centrally located- easy to get to downtown , public beach, city park, Hwy 18 and is just directly off north shore drive. Quiet neighborhood. Has everything u need for short stay - including beach towels. We came to relax and found we had no trouble doing that here

Its a great location for enjoying downtown Clear Lake and the immediate area. Lots to do on the Thursday through Sunday. Its also close to Hwy 18 if you want to explore the area.

Friend and I stayed for a weekend fishing tournament. Check in was nice and easy, cottage was clean and tidy. Didnt spend alot of time there except for sleeping but would definitely stay again.

Check in was a breeze, the house is well decorated, clean, and quiet. Close to The Surf and the water, we enjoyed our stay. Wifi / Internet was good and had plenty of speed for work or streaming.

We enjoyed our stay. Cute small cabin. Great location. Bathroom was nice with fluffy towels and nice new shower and vanity. Bedrooms are a bit old and sparse but beds were clean and comfortable. Seems like the house was in the middle of renovations, should be very nice when they are done. Price was very affordable. Overall a good stay.

We had a good time. It was great being close to the Surf Ballroom for the WDP. The owner was very responsive and even allowed us to enter early. Accommodations worked out well for our adult family of 5 and we enjoyed the TV and music choices available. A couple inconveniences were the patch of ice on the sidewalk and area between the main sidewalk and road was not cleared well. The choice of pans and utensils may not be optimal to some people so if you have a preference bring it with you.

very quaint quiet cozy cottage. Had everything we needed for our stay except regular coffee (host had several flavors but not regular) and shampoo and soap which we bought at a nearby grocery store. close to everything but quiet and relaxing just the way we like it at our age. thank you Carrie

We unfortunately had a death in the family. We had to re arrange our stay in clear lake. Carrie was companionate and very understanding. Last week, was very emotional in-between a funeral and moving our daughter, Carrie helped with traveling smooth and effortless.

The property has been appropriately updated, while maintaining the traditional cottage-at-the-lake vibe. Location is convenient to all aspects of Clear Lake activities. Host communication was excellent with quick responses. Experience was on par with the best VRBO rentals we have done in the past.

The owner was incredibly responsive, gave us a lot of great local recommendations and the house had so many perks for a small place. Thanks for a great trip! We thoroughly enjoyed the cute little cottage. It was decorated throughout with lake themed decor, which was so nice. The cottage was very clean and it was supplied with everything that we needed. The only issue we had was with the weather that didn’t cooperate for a majority of our stay……we still managed to get some swimming in at the lake and the new Clear Lake Aquatics Center. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

This is a great little property! The kitchen was well stocked. Bath towels were excellent! The furniture was vey comfortable. The location was very convenient for walks to the downtown area. It could use ceiling fans for better air movement and some of the renovations are not complete yet. A very cute and comfortable place to use for a vacation at the lake!

Up on our arrival, everything was clean and orderly, with everything in place, During our stay I developed medical issues and was take to the hospital, after discharge we discovered that we had miss placed the key, and were able to have the owner come and unlock the door for us as we had decided to return home that evening, not knowing until we had returned home that night, we discovered that we had left a backpack with a work computer, and other electronic devices, when we called the owner, she went over and found that he pack was there, a said she would have to returned to us at no charge, we wanted to pay for this but she said that she had it covered, it arrived the next day at our house, I would recommend people to rent this cabin as the service is 200% over the top, she we way above and beyond, this is what is called Iowa nice, it is something we don't see enough off. My hats off to the owner of this house, and would book it again in the future!
