About this house rental
This custom-renovated, modern lake house has everything. Drive up to the unassuming front, and enter the front with direct water views via a wall of sliding glass doors.
Owners have lovingly thought of every detail, Inside you will find a lakefront, open living/kitchen area with large island & an OLED 65” TV.
Home opens up from back porches, comfortably equipped with seating and dining. Large backyard, fire pit, lake toys, two grills included.
Well-equipped kitchen with new appliances, (3) bedrooms with queen mattresses, plus open space with (2) long-twin beds in downstairs open secondary living space (with another 60” TV) - sleeps 8 comfortably. Two full bathrooms with rainhead showers and heated floors. Large capacity washer and dryer available. Sheets, bath, beach towels, blow dryer, and fully stocked kitchen, are all provided. A starter supply of all cleaning, coffee, etc provided.
There is room in the driveway for 4-5 cars. The neighborhood is a beautiful quiet mile loop. If you go out the driveway to the left and take your very next right and keep taking rights until you get back to the house it is one big loop.
We are always available via phone and text daily between the hours of 9-8pm and take care in responding to each question and inquiry ASAP.
This lake paradise is located in Dutchman Shores and is perfect for a week of relaxing and fun. The neighborhood is quiet and has a great circle loop for taking a peaceful walk. Eptings Landing Marine $5 cash only, provide fuel and commercial boat ramp with concessions available within a 5 min car ride or 2 min by water. There is not a ramp on our property.
This home is located within two miles of local restaurants, incl. brand new Publix grocery store and the center of Chapin. It is only five miles off of I-26, making it easy access to Harbison (15 mins) and Downtown/USC (30 mins). A handful of Marinas, and lake-access Restaurants are easily located by water from this centrally located home, just off of big-water “Bear Creek”.
The detached garage on our property has been renovated (2022) into a space that is part fun/part living. Includes a full bath and Queen size murphy bed. This space sleeps an additional two people. The bar set up does include commercial bar equipment as if you were at a restaurant. Please contact host if you would like to add this space, otherwise it remains empty while on vacation. It is NOT for a party or gathering of additional people, just as a relaxing family room of sorts by the water.
We have one security blink camera on the outside front of the home and one on the outside back facing out to the lake. These are to monitor the property when we are not there. We disarm these upon a guests arrival.
There are no cameras inside the home. We also have a noise monitoring device inside the garage and on dock to monitor loud party type noise that would cause complaints from neighbors.
This noise monitoring device only measures the sound level, and does not record private conversations.
-There are full time neighbors on both sides, we ask that you keep the noise down after 10pm
-No events or large parties allowed
-You must be at least 25 years old to book and if your group is not related, no one can be under the age of 25 years old.
-Short Term rental agreement must be signed before entry code to home will be given out.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Boujee Shack very much! It feels much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside! The owners have done a perfect job of furnishing the house! It is very tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean! Wonderful outdoor areas for the family to enjoy every minute ate the lake. We parked our boat at the dock and spent a lot of time fishing, skiing, and swimming off the dock. We had a fire in the Firepit next to the lake, it was like a fairytale. I hope we can come back again next summer!

The Boujee Shack has it all! Our family stayed over Easter weekend and it was the perfect accomodation. Beautiful lake views, fire pit, grills, spacious yard, and stunning sunrises and sunsets from the backyard and dock. We had fun fishing, playing in the yard, grilling out, and relaxing in this beautifully decorated home. Our kids loved relaxing in the hammocks and fun sleep space downstairs. The mattresses were very comfortable and everything was very well organized and clean. We look forward to coming back again. Thank you for helping us make lasting family memories in an amazing space.

This place did not disappoint. The view was gorgeous and beautiful on the inside. Quiet cove and easy access to big water. The house was stocked with all we needed and very clean. This was the perfect place for a very relaxing weekend. The host was always available and answered all our questions. Looking forward to staying again soon. We stayed here for thanksgiving and had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and clean. Plenty of room for kids to run and play in the yard, board games to entertain them inside. Beds were comfortable. View of the lake was beautiful. Located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Neighbors were also very friendly when we went for a walk. Not too far from downtown Columbia, about 30 mins away. There’s also a Publix about 5 mins away.

The property was a lovely retreat while visiting for USC parent weekend. (It’s about a 35 minute ride from campus especially with all the highway construction.). Property has beautifully renovated and offered lots of comfy space in between events in Columbia. My only wish would be to have the entire yard fenced. All around great stay!

To say our weeks was AWESOME would be an understatement. Based in Massachusetts we made the trip to Murray Lake to spend long overdue time with family who live in Columbia. The #1 focus was to spend time together and enjoy the lake. The Boujee Shack was the PERFECT place for this.
The "Shack" was everything Eric and Michelle said it would be and then some. The location was really cool as we were just into the cove to give you quiet and less traffic while only 2 minutes in the boat where you were pushing to full throttle and enjoying the lake.
Michelle and Eric were awesome house and for the few questions we had their responses were immediate and then right back to enjoying lake life. I will also say that the upgrade work they have done MADE you want to treat the home just as you would your own. Thanks to Michelle and Eric for sharing your home with us. We WILL be back!!

Great place to stay!!
Loved the house and yard. Great owners who were easy to contact. Spacious and very updated. Loved the heated floors! Kid friendly! We had a 2 year old, 1 year old, and 5 month old and it worked out well.

We also booked the tavern for extra family guests. having the extra sleeping space and bathroom as well as the “party place” was perfect. We enjoyed much time fishing off the dock and using the kayaks and SUPs. It was a beautiful setting. The house had everything we needed for a perfect week!

We spent a wonderful week on the lake for Thanksgiving and the SC vs Clemson game. This house had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The views are so beautiful to wake up to and the house is decorated with high end touches. Highly recommend!

This house was amazing! So many nice features. Had everything we needed for an awesome vacation on the lake. We swam, kayaked (brought our own, though they have an inflatable and 2 kids kayaks), rented a boat one day, Loved sitting on the back deck any time of the day. The dock was really nice.too. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well.stocked, there are beach towels, lawn chairs. The owners have thought of everything and we're very responsive. They texted to make sure we got in the first night and had everything we needed. Would love to stay again someday. One of the best VRBO houses we have stayed in.

Great House, Great Neighborhood
Do yourself a favor and just book this place! It was very clean, the beds were comfy, communication with the owners was great. The neighborhood was very quiet (both on the lake and off) and we walked the 1.5 mile loop multiple times a day. Boating right in the cove was great - calm enough to water ski and kneeboard right from the dock. Boat ramp was a 2 minute drive across the cove. Very convenient to grocery stores. The house itself is well appointed - I mean even the light switches were labeled - genius! The bath towels and beach towels were luxurious. The heated floors in the bathrooms and the dual shower heads were the icing on the cake. We felt like we were staying in a hotel. We hope to be back again some day!

We stayed at the Boujee Shack for a family getaway, reuniting our family for a “school’s out for summer mini- break.” The kids said the house was “all Boujee” and had “Malibu vibes!” It was spotlessly cleaned, impeccably decorated, included so many fun lake toys, and being great home cooks, we really appreciated having a well equipped kitchen. We had an amazing weekend and will definitely come again for a relaxing stay...a perfect kick off to summer. Highly recommend!

The dock was beautiful and an easy place to tie up our boat or to sit and have a cocktail at sundown. There is a notebook with detailed instructions, along with maps and take-out menus, which was very helpful. The music system, operated by an iPhone, was great. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, and the next-door neighbors were great to talk to. The common areas are small, so although the house can sleep 8 people, it might be a little tight if everyone wanted to be together in the kitchen/family room. But, there is plenty of space on the porch, by the grill, and on the dock. We loved the paddleboards, kayaks, and rafts - that was an extra that we have not had at previous rentals, but really enjoyed having this past week. Michell was easy to reach for the minor questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Boujee Shack, would definitely come back, and highly recommend it to others. You felt like friends were welcoming you as there was a bottle of wine, snacks, extra towels, games, cooler and all the things you would have if staying at a friend's home. The house is small, but the layout is fantastic and it doesn't feel cramped at all. Michell has done an amazing job designing and decorating. Many luxurious touches throughout. The house should be on HGTV show called "The Boujee Life". I volunteer our beach place to be their first show makeover too....lol. We enjoyed time with friends and family celebrating our daughter's USC graduation. The water toys were used, our son caught a giant catfish off the dock, we relaxed and just enjoyed the home and all it's amenities. If headed to the area, we will definitely be checking the availability of the Boujee Shack. Thanks again!

Great week at the Lake
The Boujee shack was the perfect spot for our family of five for our lake vacation. The home was very clean and had everything you could need for the week (pots, pans etc). Our girls loved swimming off the dock and using the water mat. It was a super convenient location for groceries and for gas for the pontoon boat. We look forward to returning!

Makin’ Memories
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bougee Shack. Our family of 6 arrived at different times throughout the week but the accomodations were perfect for our 4 adult children. We have spent a lot of time in Columbia/Irmo in recent years but staying in Bougee Shack gave us a better vacation experience than staying with family on this visit. Michell and Eric very responsive and extremely helpful with all questions during our stay. Would definitely stay again if our schedules allow. We hope to own our own little piece of Lake Murray in the near future and Bougee Shack sets the bar high! Great job on Reno........pretty remarkable! Thank you for sharing your home with our family, we had a great week.

Great Lake house
This was an amazing place, parked the boat on the dock, and settled in. The rest of the week played hard on the water (Tubing, Wake Boarding, swimming and cruzzin"). Then just jump right off the boat at our private dock included in the stay and grab a bite then do a Sunset cruze.It was amazing. This home had everything you could need for a incredible stay Thank you!!!

Great house and perfect location
this little house packs a lot of nice amenities inside, from the large kitchen, nicely redone bathrooms, and open concept with a beautiful covered porch. And then there's the big backyard that leads out to the wonderful view of lake murray which you can enjoy on the floating dock. Neighborhood is very charming and quiet and owners were super responsive to any questions we had.. Will definitely be coming back.
