Beautiful property that has been very well cared for over the years. Very clean and private. My husband and I enjoyed time fishing on the lake. Mary and her brother Bruce were very helpful and available. Lots do at the property and in the surrounding area. Spider Lake is a new favorite destination. Thank you for everything!

We had a lovely time at this extremely charming cabin. The setting was very private, and the view from the living room was spectacular. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Loved waking up to the view of lake every morning. It was very private, yet close enough for day trips to nearby towns and attractions. Plenty of games and books to read on rainy days and everything we needed to cook meals at home. Lots of good hiking trails only a few minutes drive from the cabin. We stayed in October so it was a little cooler, but the heaters that adjusted for each room were great. Would definitely come back.

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful setting to relax for a long weekend and this place was perfect for that! Thanks Mary!

This was our second stay this year. We stayed a week in June and love this place. The only problem is the shower, there is no water pressure and it takes a really long time to get warm. Hopefully it will be fixed for next year. Also the row boat was full of water. This cabin is very comfortable and in a great location on the lake

We loved the cabin, its in a great location. Your in a no-wake cove with no neighbors on one side of the cabin. Mary had everything you needed.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little cabin. Having the paddle boat, the kayaks and the canoe at our disposal allowed us to enjoy Spider Lake and to get some needed exercise. We had warm weather so we didn’t get to use the indoor fireplace but we did enjoy the outdoor fire chimney to make s’mores in the evening. There is no WiFi in the cabin but our cell phone worked just fine to be able to check email. Our goal was to unplug as much as possible...and that mission was accomplished! I would highly recommend this lakefront cottage and would not hesitate to return at some point.

Wonderful cabin, 2 lovely bedrooms, a picture window that overlooks the lake and the opening to the big part of the lake, open kitchen/dining/living area. Fireplace in the cabin and a chimena outside overlooking the lake. Grill, picnic table, dock and deck. At the end of a private drive. It was so very relaxing. Lots of woods to walk around and there aren't cottages on top of cottages. This part of the lake is a no wake zone so it's quiet.
I love taking my coffee down on the dock in the morning and watching the mist and fish. Fishermen just drift by and say hello. I have a ton of photos of "stuff" as I walk around and explore nature. We feed the fish bits of bread from the dock and it was fun to watch so many of these little panfish come up to enjoy our offerings. From the cottage we actually watched 2 large woodpeckers on trees less than 50 ft away for a long time. It was amazing. Lots of photos of them working away.
It's a quick trip to Traverse to do other things. (a full grocery is only a few miles away). We went to Interlochen and enjoyed some free concerts that the instructors put on.
So many options of what to do in the area! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (but leave me a week please!)

My husband and I stayed at this cabin in August 2013. Great value for the location and to all the greater Traverse City area has to offer. Furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for a vacation cabin. Mary was very pleasant to deal with and professional rental agreement used to secure our booking. We would definitely consider staying here again the next time we plan an extended stay in the Traverse City area.
