About this house rental
Our "Hostel an der Kyll" is located on the occasionally quietly flowing, sometimes braying Kyll. The house is a former business and residential house that we have redesigned simply, but thoughtfully, using the things that still seemed usable, while maintaining the facilities that seemed to suit us the use. It has four different bedrooms: two five-rooms, a double room and a room with two single beds in a living room. We call this bedroom / living room "Brunner's Room", because here stand all the works of the philosopher Constantin Brunner, who died in 1937. The Brunner Room is a retreat for all readers, and in 2018 the Brunner Foundation is here for the first time.
Two small and a larger bathroom with showers as well as two kitchens with sufficient furniture and household items for groups make the stay for self-catering pleasant. The house is located 200 meters from the train station, but you can hear little from the trains, since the windows are double glazed and partly with roller shutters. There is a small garden with a view of the Kyll path. In front of the house, the Kylltal cycle path crosses the other cycle paths and connects to either Belgium or Trier or the Ahr. Hikers can follow the well signposted paths.
Our house is almost media-free - without W-LAN, radio, television. So we can ensure the necessary rest for the recreation.
The only media are books: The Brunner titles, certainly only for those who are especially interested, can be read or bought if they are to leave the house. Other books are available for reading and / or taking away.
Towels and bed linen are included in the price. When leaving, please take off the beds and place used laundry in a standing basket. There are two blow dryers. Please refuse refuse.
The garage is bike garage - we are also bed + bike accommodation. Parking is available but enough and free of charge in the vicinity of the house.
In the summer you can watch the sunshine at the gleaming Kyll, in the winter perhaps snowmaking. In the village there is not much restoration: a snack on weekdays, café corners in the supermarkets, but also the "Glaadter Hütte", which regularly hosts music events in the beer garden during the summer.
