About this house rental
House is located on a privately run family compound. This spacious 3 bedroom home is located on a waterfront lot along the Shrewsbury River. Large modern kitchen including counter top seating with open floor plan, hardwood floors, central air conditioning. The three bedrooms are all appointed with queen size beds and cable t.v.. Steps away from restaurants, fishing, night life and other local attractions. Walk across the bridge to Sandy Hook beach and Gateway National Park. Convenient commute to New York by local Ferry. This beautiful unit is fully furnished move in ready.

I rented this home for a Friday-Sunday. On Saturday my bridesmaids got ready in the house before our wedding. The open floor plan and incredible location on the river made it the perfect spot. Check in was incredibly easy and we were greeted by the property manager when we arrived. There is access to the riverfront with chairs and it was a great place to get photos with my bridesmaids. I highly recommend this home! The house was clean and is close to everything Highlands has to offer.

It was so nice ,and Gary let us check in earlier , let us keep the beachchairs and towels , because we were still staying at the beach , and he responded soooo fast 👍👌 it is nice that there is still some affordable nice places to stay , and that’s why we are coming back

Unfortunately, we did not get to stay at the property.
Another customer occupied our reserved three-bedroom unit, so we were offered a one-bedroom unit.
We asked if we could arrive before 4 pm check-in time. Gary let us know on the arrival day he could not have the unit ready any earlier. We let him know that we would arrive at 4 pm, and we did. This is when he let us know he gave our unit to another family. He quickly offered to fully refund our payment and use the one-bedroom unit for the rest of the day. Gary was friendly and polite, but we drove back home feeling somewhat despondent. My family missed out on the Labor Day Weekend vacation.

One of 5 separate short term rentals on a piece of property right on the water. So easy to walk to all the restaurants in town. The manager is right next door and very helpful. Passes provided for Sandy Hook beaches. Plenty of parking on site. Could use some more dishes and silverware. We will definitely be back next summer!ssiteand street side.

We booked this property for a bachelorette trip and it was amazing! The location is pretty secluded with a beautiful view of the bay and still close enough to the beach for easy access. There are also lots of restaurants & bars within walking distance which was convenient. The host was super nice and accommodating. The house is big with lots of room for 6 people and plenty of different spaces to gather. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful beach getaway!

The home is charming and lovely with lovely views of the river all over the shared property of rental homes. Very close to the beach. Having rented in the outer banks, NC, where you get one roll of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels- it was well appointed even with beach chairs and towels- all of the extras I brought were not needed. Walking distance to local seafood restaurants, bakery/coffee shop, and ice cream. Allow time to get to Sandy Hook Beach from the house- go early or you will be slow going over the bridge- they also offered a beach pass so you don't have to pay for parking at Sandy Hook Beach- owners extremely responsive to our special needs- would 100% go back. You can also visit the beach at night with no traffic at all which we did every night- just beautiful- there is a small river beach and small board walk right off the property as well where I sunbathed. While it's a shared property, I rarely ran into anyone. it was lovely.

Spent a few days at my grandsons Dance event in Long Brach and this house was perfect for us.
first floor has a very open setup with a nice kitchen and dining room a large couch with a nice TV
three bedrooms
two on 2nd floor and an apartment like one on the third floor,
When my 17 year old grandson saw it he asked if he could move in.
We highly with reccomend as it can handle 4-6 + guests with no problems at all

An absolute perfect weekend getaway! The house is very spacious, clean and is fully stocked with the essentials. But the best part is the location not only providing some amazing views but it’s close proximity to restaurants and beaches make it a great place to stay. A extra bonus is the parking pass that was provided for the state park. The management was extremely responsive and very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

It’s been a long time since I’ve visited the Highlands New Jersey and holy crap, this town has really come a long way! With bars, restaurants, and marinas all within walking distance, this vacation rental is in a prime location! With a water view and boat docking capability, this 3-4 bedroom house was PERFECT for my West Coast friends to come stay and experience some East Coast fishing. The downstairs is huge and great for entertaining. The rooms are comfortable. The house also features off street parking. I am so happy with EVERYTHING and look forward to booking again. Gary was our host and super friendly. He even went above and beyond when we left a set of earbuds, behind. Totally GREAT experience!

This is the perfect spot with wonderful views. There's plenty of room for my growing family to be able to come back together. I would highly recommend this rental for all year getaways. This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Waterview Beach House and this time the experience was even better than the first. More furniture in the main living area made it very comfortable for our family of 4 adults. We stayed over Thanksgiving and Gary generously let us check in early so we could finish cooking our meal there. We watched football, relaxed, dined, and cooked in the large open space. It was perfect for us!

Love the location of the house. Restaurants are within walking distance. You can walk over the bridge to the ocean. We had an issue with the cable when we got there and it was taken care of quickly. Hope to come back for a visit soon.

Can't say enough about this wonderful property and its even more lovely owners! We had a group of 5 staying for a nearby wedding and it was perfect. Spacious home with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms provided lots of getting ready space. Also lovely downstairs living room/kitchen open concept great for hanging out together. Everything was clean and comfy. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and reachable. Seriously the kindest people! Would of course stay again.

Just as presented, a perfectly situated, CLEAN cottage amongst a group of cottages, on a dead-end street in Highlands. The owners/managers are lovely about communicating and relaxed as can be regarding check-in. The beds are comfortable. And the community is so friendly. Everything about the property was excellent. We are a family of 6 with two kids, their parents as well as myself (nana) and grandpa and small dog. Grandpa has mobility issues and the small bedroom downstairs was so helpful. Location was fun, fishing and lots of places to eat. We are already thinking about next year!

It was a very short drive to Sandy Hook. Walking distance to an ice cream shop, very dog friendly neighborhood, plenty of parking. The house had a huge kitchen with all the appliances and tableware we needed. The bedrooms had plenty of storage space. We had a wonderful trip! Thanks for your hospitality!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was in a great location. We could walk to restaurants and enjoy the views of the water while enjoying our morning coffee. The main floor was surprisingly larger than it appeared in the photos. The open floor plan was nice for a big family. Check in and check out we’re very easy! The beds and linens were comfortable. The kitchen had the basics and we were able to find what we needed. The host was very responsive! We would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and each time we are beyond pleased with our stay. The house is in a beautiful location and has plenty of room inside. Although the weather didn’t allow for us to head to Sandy Hook this time, a pass was left for us to use. We have already booked our next stay!

3 couples stayed comfortably in this rental property right on the bay/river. It’s a group of homes clustered together, our house did not have a great view but the shared boardwalk was perfect with plenty of comfy chairs. Plenty of parking. Easy walk to restaurants in Highlands and beautiful walk across the bridge to the beach. House also comes with Sandy Hook annual pass to drive out to the beaches which are gorgeous and not crowded.
A few little things at the house were glitchy but owner responded promptly.
Overall we would stay here again if we come back to the area.
