Such a great time.

We really enjoyed the home. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. The updated master bathroom was a great plus. All kitchen utensils and extras provided throughout the home made things a lot easier. Great for kids and the adults.

This was not the best start to a family get together. They sent me the code, which worked, but there were no keys. When you call the VRBO # they are in Seattle,Washington. By werd fluke, my son googled the lock on the the door and was able to open the the door. Not a safe felling! Once inside, things had to be cleaned- blankets dirty, pee on the mattress pad with fresh sheet on top(?) Dishes, cups, silverware, etc in the kitchen had to be washed. Going on vacation- you normally got have to clean the place yo are staying at when you pay a cleaning deposit 😡
Once we went shopping and bought cleaning supplies and up from the people before us. We had a marvelous time. It is a beautiful home and location. Need new cleaning staff!

Skip this house. Keep looking. We aren’t fussy people but this was bad. Good location, spacious. Prefer to deal with VRBO not Vacasa. The foosball and air hockey are broken. Both kayaks have holes and take in water. TVs are complicated and don’t have instructions. One is missing a remote. Moldy dishes and shower curtain, lightbulbs burned out, cobwebs, bugs smashed on the walls, 1/4 inch of dust on ceiling fans and light fixtures. Cheap mattresses and bedding. Had to call to get accurate code to boat launch. Multiple emails and messages trying to discern where the launch is and how to rent the boat. Minimal shade on dock. Poison ivy everywhere. Grass is cut. No landscaping. The house isn’t as advertised.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and spacious house with a great lakefront property.

Excellent Location on the Private side of Lake Anna. House was great, dock was great. We also rented a very nice pontoon boat from the homeowner. My family had an excellent vacation here and will be returning for sure.

House was nicely stocked with plenty of room for our entire family. The view was beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Loved having the 2 living rooms so adults could hang out and kids could watch a movie separately. Bathrooms are old but fine.

Needs to be deep cleaned. Needs to be stocked better. Toilet paper, bath towels etc. The carpets are dirty, sheets on most beds and dishes were put up with food still on them.

This house has everything! Great location, plenty of space, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen and linens, great WI-Fi. We have stayed in this house multiple times and will definitely be returning.

Cannot recommend house or Vacasa for numerous reasons.

We loved the view and the home itself, however, there was an Xbox and a wii there that was unable to be used. Granted we probably wouldn’t have used them anyway but if it’s there, it should be accessible. Otherwise it was an amazing stay and we would definitely go again

The house has good location and very nice lake views.
My friends and I, a group of (10) went this past weekend to celebrate the Chinese New Year, Unfortunately not everything was good; the dishes, silverware were not clean properly, the glasses were dusty and dirty, the placemats dirty with dry food in there; some pans have dry and burned food and one of the stove’s burner had like burned oil and smell so ugly, The kitchen extractor was very weak so it didn’t clear the smell of cooking, we needed to open the windows to clean the air of the house; on the top of that the heat of the house was programmed to 68 degrees, we could changed it to 71 but only for 45 minutes because, the thermostat was program that way. We tried to turned on the fireplaces but, they were not working. On Saturday I called Vacasa to report this issue and they confirmed that the fireplaces weren’t in working condition as they were no as part of the listing; instead they offered me to use the fire pit outside and the temperature outside was less than 13 degrees and windy.
The sets of glasses and silver ware were not complete, you barely could find 3 of the same kind,
In the rooms some blankets are very old and some have holes and the king bed of the first floor had cookie’s crumbs into the sheets, like someone ate cookies or bread there.
I’m use to rent houses with VRBO and in all my previous rentals, when I had an issue, I was able to get in touch with the owner and they were always so helpful. For this rental I also booked it with VRBO but, they diverted me to Vacasa, they are polite but they don’t give a personalized service, comparing with my previous experiences, there is a huge difference.
We are not happy with the experience, we expected more, specially about cleanliness and maintenance.

It was wonderful. House had everything! Beautiful property!

We had a nice peaceful week at Plum Paradise! The house was designed well for large groups with incredible views, and we’d be interested in booking again with some friends, but are hoping that management makes a few updates:
As other reviewers mentioned, lighting in the bathrooms and kitchen is poor. The jetted tub was nice, but we couldn’t get the water much past luke warm, which made it unappealing to relax & soak. The thermostat for the house heat was set to 56, and nights got down to 35, so until we figured out how to change the heat, it got pretty chilly. Instructions would have been nice. As others reported, the TV remote was so challenging we gave up on watching TV. Again, instructions would have been nice. The house was quite clean, except for the stains on almost every rug, as well as the outdoor cushions. Speaking of which, there is an awesome deck with lots of metal lounge chairs but no cushions that we found that would make those chairs comfortable to sit in. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived. No big deal for us because we could easily hand wash. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. With just a few simple improvements, this would be the perfect vacation house!

Upstairs dishwasher needs replacement but vacasa never fulfilled their promise to replace while we were there. Certain lights didn't work (microwave, bathroom, etc.) and various lamps across the house are unplugged. Couldn't find cushions for the hard metal chairs on porch and dock. Not really enough towels for the amount of guests. If there was a stash of beach towels, we couldn't find them. Overall a decent house, and it's in a great location despite minor inconveniences. Vacasa should sweep through the house and double check all the lights and appliances.

We stayed here for a week in July 2022 for an 11-person family reunion and we all thoroughly enjoyed the location, the house, the multiple family rooms/recreation rooms/kitchens, the Florida room, the fire pit, and THE LAKE. The kids ran out back and jumped into the lake several times a day. There's a nearby grocery store (Food Lion) and several restaurants to choose from. Internet wifi was sometimes intermittent, but we still managed to stream movies on the Roku. Several of us ended up using cell phone internet instead (T-Mobile and Verizon), which was adequate but not the speeds we get up in the DC area.

The good - The house is very comfortable, lots of big windows facing the lake, space for everyone to relax on both floors, many TV's, games for kids, kitchen had all the cookware one cold ask for, fridge and freezer were clean and spacious, comfy beds, beautiful view and quiet. The downstairs kitchen was great, having the laundry was also a plus. A/C on both levels meant perfect temps and it did get hot and humid while we were there. The dock is spacious, kayaks on-site. Note: there is one bath, hand and washcloth for each person. Bring extras and beach towels.
The not-so-good - the property management isn't up to the job. Upon arrival we noticed the lawn needed to be mowed, every toilet needed cleaning, there was dust on interior surfaces and huge cobwebs all over everything outdoors and dead bugs on top of the webs. It was clear no one had used the house for some time and IF it was checked by property service, they did nothing. LIght bulbs burned out. Many electrical items, including connection to TV antennas, had been unplugged. There only light in the kitchen area is a single, round ceiling fixture and small light over the sink. It was hard to see what was on the stove, or use any counter but the one on the island facing the dining room. With 11 people being fed 3 times a day it was really a BIG pain to cart things across the room to cook etc. Calling the property service we waited for return calls longer than we've had to with other rentals. They did send a lawn guy the next morning and someone finally came to clean the toilets (note, our kids were about to arrive and the cleaner just made it in time.) Also, no one had checked the dock as the wooden steps into the water from the lawn were coated with slim and two kids slipped. Luckily not hurt but check before use.
One lake note: if you look up Lake Anna you'll see it's beautiful. What is good to know: there is a cool side and a warm side to this lake as it cools the local reactor. The house is on the warm side, which was okay, it's clean BUT the water temp is like warm bath water. There is also an algae issue, which thankfully, we didn't encounter. Renter beware and check the local report if you're traveling in the summer.
There are a few nice eateries nearby and a good size grocery, liquor store a few miles away.
Overall we have a marvelous time, kids were happy as were adults. I'd recommend this location but suggest you ask if it's been recently cleaned. Kudos to the owner for the comfort

This house was perfect for our group of 14. Beds and rooms very large and mattresses not bad. Plenty of space to hang out inside if the weather is bad. Water by dock is shallow for small kids and waist high or more at end of dock for adults. Water temp is super hot -- like 90 degrees. On a hot day it isn't very refreshing but on the day we had rain it was awesome. (the lake filters through the nuclear plants steam coolant system making the water returning to lake hot on the private side- which is where this house is). Apparently it's safe as all the boat and people traffic that are on it. We didn't catch any fish other than one sunfish....locals claim their are bass and blue gill. There is a cute mini golf and arcade not too far away. House had almost everything you can think of. The kids loved air hockey, fooseball and the tv gaming systems available as well as swimming off the dock. Dock is in pretty good shape be careful of the tow entries into the water they could use a rail they are slippery on last step. Overall it was a great stay. The water is a little too warm for our group on a summer trip but would consider returning in Spring or Fall to enjoy and almost "hotspring" feel in VA! Thanks

Great lake house experience with lots of room
Great Lake house with an excellent location on Lake Anna. There were plenty of rooms to accommodate our large group and outdoor space to play yard games. Our only complaints were with the grass not being mowed and the smaller twin beds being old and/or uncomfortable. Otherwise, great experience overall!

Amazing Girls Getaway!
We came from Richmond for a weekend and had an amazing time! Two nights wasn’t long enough. Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We are already looking at dates for next year to book again!

Great space for a large family get together. This is a well appointed house with something for every age. Vacasa was also great to work with.

Perfect Get-Away
Lovely home without being pretentious, just a wonderful place to relax. Everything you need is there. The cleaners are excellent and deserve a shout out. Wish it had been warmer to enjoy the outdoors and boating on the lake, but it's a great place to walk.

Beautiful home for big families
This house is in a great spot on the lake. There are beautiful views of the lake from almost every room. The large rooms are just perfect for our family to spread out. The screened in porch is a relaxing spot to read, relax and see the beautiful lake front. We look forward to coming back again next year.

Wonderful stay.
Few small details that need to be attended to:
Neither ice maker worked.
Ants in bathroom upstairs
Toilet Seats upstairs wrong size for toilets
Lovely home, great view. Great group seating areas. Quiet.

This house has it all
This house has a wonderful layout and was very well-equipped with kitchen items, toys and games for children and adults, good wi-fi and internet access, and a lovely view of the lake. My only recommendation would be to provide cushions for the outside lounge chairs on the deck and at the dock, and also to provide a few life jackets for guest use while enjoying the lake.

August lake trip
Our family had a good time in this vacation rental, located on a quiet little cove of the "warm" side of Lake Anna. The 2 kitchens reduced some of the cooking chaos. The game room with pool table and air hockey was fun for all ages. The dock was large and the 2 supplied kayaks were used a lot. There were, however, some concerning issues. Probably the biggest one was a jagged, splintery hole in the upper deck. One of the toddlers discovered it and although we moved a table over it, the fact that it was there prohibited us from using the deck. Also, a couple of kitchen concerns, including a shelf that crashed down, shattering several glass bowls all over us and the food on the counter. Seems a peg was missing. And, the main dishwasher water had been turned off - making the DW completely unusable. The maintenance folks came the next day to fix the kitchen items, but the deck remained a huge problem. The house is in a great location, and although the insides are a bit dated, it was clean and well appointed.

Amazing vacation
The house was huge and clean and well stocked with everything you need. The dock was bigger and better than expected! I’d suggest getting cushions for the metal lounge chairs. They were hot and uncomfortable without them. The lake was beautiful and quiet. The water temp was also very warm- not very refreshing, however if you were wet and there was a breeze that helped! All in all it was a great vacation! We all loved the house and recommend it highly!!

Loved our stay!!
This home was perfect for our family! We found it clean, comfortable and very accommodating. We enjoyed it very much! We were there with 6 adults and our grandchildren...the house was really set up nice for children with toys, child dishes, tubes for the lake etc. They loved swimming in the shallow part by the dock. The dock was a favorite of ours!! We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back sometime!

Plum Paradise
Excellent home on Lake Anna for a family get-away. We biked, kayaked, hung out on the dock and in the lake. Spacious house with an open deck and patio, and a screened in porch. Quiet neighborhood, but not too far from the grocery store.

Mostly no issues, immaculately clean
Pros:
- A LOT of space, almost like two independent houses on the main floor and on the lower floor, including kitchens
- Location
- Immaculately clean everything
- Good bed sheets
- Decent entertainment options
Cons:
- busted grill badly needing new burners and grills
- the grill is downstairs, a lot way to walk if you are cooking upstairs, maybe needs to be another one?
- vacasa completely unresponsive through VRBO messagingm, prior to and after the sale
- no check in information until the day of check in, makes planning hard

We enjoyed our short stay. Beautiful home.

So much potential
The house was truly in the most perfect location, with a beautiful view of the lake. The house has so much potential. While the house seemed very clean, the carpets in the bedrooms were severely stained as well as the stair carpeting. The hardwood floors in the living room were damaged & the screened in porch furniture was also in poor shape as well as the blinds. This house just needs some attention & it would be the most perfect property! New carpets, new kitchen countertops, a larger rug in the upstairs living space, new tinted windows so that the furniture in that space lasts longer with being faded & looking aged. Renovated bathrooms would also make this property stunning.
The beds were very comfortable & the entire house was very spacious. We played games inside & out & thoroughly had a great time with the other couples. The weather could not have been better too.
I give this property high reviews, but really think this property has much more potential.

Beautiful Home!
Beautiful, comfortable home with great lake access. We were able to use the kayaks even in February and the fire pit was awesome. We had an amazing time. I’d just suggest that guests bring some extra staples along if it’s for a longer stay. There a limited amount of dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, paper towels etc provided. If you plan on cooking also make sure to bring some Tupperware - the kitchen has tons of utensils but didn’t have a lot of containers for leftovers.
We’d definitely stay again!
