Chatel is a cosy town with plenty of restaurants in an enormous skiing area; a great staring point for your skiing/hiking/biking adventure. The apartment is located a few hundred meters from the city center and the lifts. If you use the (free and frequent) buses you are literally 100 footsteps away from the (Chatel's Linga) slopes. You get your own parking spot right outside the door (a good thing, since it is not easy to find parking spots in Chatel).
The apartment is small but fits 3 people with some good will. It is very well equipped so we could easily cook our meals etc. Kitchen, bathroom, heating, etc, etc, all function as expected. The balcony offers great views of the slopes and is the perfect place to 'land' after a long day of skiing.
Our host took really good care of us and promptly answered all questions we had, both prior to arrival and during the stay (and we got the answers we hoped for, no unexpected "no, that's not possible or that will cost extra" etc).
Overall, a great week at a great location! We were here during week 7 (2019) and got some mixed weather. The next few weeks are probably even better even if there seems to be a risk that the temperatures get a bit too high for perfect skiing conditions.
