Neighborhood overview
San Miguel Chapultepec is one of the nicest neighborhoods to live in now a days... why? Situated in Colonia San Miguel Chapultepec it is in the center of mayor activity, comercial and cultural areas in Mexico City. Comercial Zone Polanco, Cultural and Gastronomic Condesa, Night Live Colonia Roma, are just 10 minutes away by car. Cultural Coyoacán, Old Town San Ángel and Zocalo Old Quarter are just 20 minutes away either by taxi or Subway. Subway (Juanacatlán) is a block away and so are a couple coffee shops, deli market, street tacos, tortas and Sanborn´s Mexican Food Chain. Supermarket is three blocks away. It is full of trees, safe and carries a tranquil environment. It maintains the old spirit with specialized shops all around. There are 3 coffee shops in the surrounding blocks. Juice stand, quesadillas stand and a Deli shop with vegan food and small production beer and wine shop. The market is a few blocks away, where one can eat or buy groceries. Supermarket is a few blocks away as well. The Chapultepec Park is a few blocks away and so is the Castle and Museum... definitely a touristic attraction.
Getting around
Taxi on call, Public bikes, Metrobus and Subway. Basically all transport available from a few blocks around the apartment.
Other things to note
The elevator goes up to the sixth Floor. From there 14 steps take you to the seventh floor 14 steps

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Leon's penthouse apartment. The view towards the park and Chapultepec office towers is spectacular from both the living/dining room and terrace. The main public spaces are decorated with eclectic/artistic objects and we felt as if we were staying in a good friend's well lived-in place.
The condition of the public areas was very good, however the same quality of finish and decoration does not extend to the bedrooms and associated bathrooms. These areas could use some simple upgrades to match the quality of the public zone.
Note that although it has three rooms with beds, the third bedroom is an original study that opens off the main living room and faces the terrace. The glazed wall onto the terrace from this room has vertical blinds that need repair so that this room cannot really be completely private.
Although the unit is not air conditioned, we were pleasantly surprised at how cool it was despite the very extensive glazing. I expect fans may be required in warmer weather.
This is not a luxurious apartment but a very charming and authentic one and we recommend it as a great base for exploring this rapidly gentrifying part of the city.

Tremendous property with unrivaled view looking towards and across Chapultepec toward Reforma. 24 hour staff, responsive owner, and a few cafes/markets within short walking distance. Very large condo.

Had a fantastic 10 days here! The Livingroom/Dining room area is beautiful with great views overlooking the city, felt great to wake up in the morning and watch the sun rise with a cup of coffee through the huge windows and high ceilings. The livingroom was super comfortable with plenty of space to sit and relax, and the bedrooms were perfectly comfortable. The location was an easy walk to the many many fantastic restaurants or to chapultepec park. Finally León was very helpful and responsive, and the staff at the gated entry to the building were always quick and friendly whenever we were heading in/out. Would love to come back and highly recommend!

Fun and Unique Apartment for an Adventure in Mexico City
Leon was an attentive host and he referred me to an excellent tour guide. The apartment is spacious and the location is good, with the Chapultepec Park close and hidden restaurants to surprise all around. The apartment felt safe and the gate guards welcoming and always available. Our visit to Mexico City was very satisfying with great food, museums, cooking classes, folkloric ballets, walks in the park and a tour of Teotihuacan. Fantastic!

The apartment was great for our group stay. The overall condition of the apartment wasn’t as new as expected. The location was awesome and the neighborhood was very quiet. I would recommend to others but a bit pricey for the condition of the unit.

Lovely apartment. Very Quiet
The view is spectacular from the living area! Doña Ineś made us a delicious meal on our first evening . Security was very nice, especially since we were 3 women. The apartment was very quiet. Overall we had a very nice time.

view and accommodations are great
I strongly recommend staying here. The photos are accurate on the unbeatable view from the main living area. There might be other apartments in the city with views but unlikely to be so expansive with the wall of windows. We stayed with our 25 and 28 year old kids who loved it as well. The immediate neighborhood does not have the activity or restaurant options of Condessa or the Romas, but there are some very good breakfast places (and bakeries) within 3-4 blocks that will get you going for the day. Then uber it over to the shopping/restaurant area or the Historic District for the rest of the day and evening. We also did about a 25 minute walk through Chapultapec Park to the Anthro Museum, which was great (the walk and the museum).
But back at the apartment -- it is well laid out, great art, stocked with lots of needed basics (e..g coffee, cooking spices, oil) And it is well prepared for the chilly nights that some Mexico City places acknowledge with blankets, but in our experience some don't.
we will definitely book again on our next trip.

Our family of five enjoyed our stay at this apartment with a wonderful Penthouse view. This is a nice quiet location with a supermercado just around the corner for anything you might need. Security is great with accessible doormen. The apartment is spacious and works well for a group or family. We enjoyed having the cook prepare breakfast and dinner several times for us which was both delicious and actually lasted us several days. This was so nice to have ready when coming back from a packed sightseeing day.

Enjoyed it very much. We were two adults and three children and it is a spacious living area. The rooms big, beds comfortable and bathroom compact and comfortable. The view of the park and city is prime and we really enjoyed the oversized chess board. We hired doña Inés to make us breakfast one morning which we enjoyed. The property has its years and needs some structural upkeep but for the most part it is an enjoyable space. For the price and type of property I suggest they have basic soap, shampoo and Kleenex. Otherwise this can all be found on the corner shop.
Great location near Chapultepec park where we enjoyed many activities with the kids.

The apartment was large and had a great layout. The communal spaces were amazing and so unique. The views at night and in the morning were so nice. I had the impression that it overlooked the park but it is more accurate to say that you can see the tree tops of the park, you can see the Castillo, once you know where it is. The apartment was secure and the gentleman at the gate were friendly and helpful. We loved the area and really enjoyed Mexico City. I was disappointed in the quality of the apartment and its amenities for how much we paid for it. There were no top sheets on the beds which is an absolute must in a rental. I asked the owner but we never got more linens (I did find one spare set) One of the showers leaked badly soaking the floor and so we stopped using it, so it really became a 1 full bath and 2 half bath apartment. The curtains in the main room were falling off and held up by a rope. The windows needed to be open at night and there are no screens so we did get some mosquito bites and it is was pretty noisy but that is city living, There was hand soap but no bath soap. The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies (although we did not cook) There was some coffee but no filters. Normally these things do not bother me but this apartment was one of the more expensive apartments listed on VRBO in this area and so I expected a little more. The owner did respond to emails but we did not get any contact info for the host or check in information prior to arrival. The elevator wasn't always working so we took the stairs which wasn't a big deal for us, but if an elevator is a must for you, this one was a bit sketchy. If the apartment was stocked with better linens, basic supplies, got a deep cleaning and had some basic repairs it would be a 5 star because of the views, the open layout and great entertaining spaces.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was large with beautiful views from the deck, living and dining areas, and the apartment is located in a peaceful and accessible neighborhood. We were a group of 7 professional women in our late 30s and 40s celebrating a friend's birthday, and we felt not only safe but completely relaxed during our time. There was plenty of room for all and Leon Martin was very easy to work with. He even set up an amazing, sweet and welcoming cook to make your stay even better. Highly recommended by all in our group!

This property is a one-of-a-kind with spectacular views and charm in what we found to be a perfect location. Overlooking the jewel of the immense Chapultepec Park with its castle (a destination in itself) , looking north to (among others) the BBVA Bancomer tower, the 4th largest skyscraper in the city, with its innovative nightly light display and architectural design. The kitchen was fully stocked and we used it much, though street vendors with tasty tacos and tamales were just steps away. We went everywhere in the city, plus walked much locally, and this was the perfect base. The neighborhood is charming, and the building is secure, yet muy friendly. We wanted to give this property five stars, but dropped it one because the interior needs attention and linens were sparse (sheets, too). The pivoting windows, one of the major charms of the place with its window wall, means no screens are possible, and at the time of year of our visit, two of our seven group members ended up with pretty visible and itchy mosquito bites.Leon is great to deal with and matched us with top-drawer tourism services, and Dona Ines provided wonderful welcoming and cleaning service. She can also cook and wash clothes for a fee upon request, in addition to her normal support services. We'd be happy to go back, and found it to be a great value.

The place was beautiful
I was there with my family and we had a great time. The neighborhood was very safe feeling. The front guards were there to greet us and alway ready to open the door. We ended up either walking to the park or calling an Uber.
The apartment had the wonderful views of the park.
We would stay there again.

Best place I have ever stayed! Beautiful, sunny & central; phenomenal host!
I wish I could give six stars! Leon & co were the most wonderfully helpful hosts and the apartment was absolutely perfect. We had a group visiting from all over the United States in Mexico City for four days; Leon helped us organize a day trip to Teotihuacan with a fantastic guide/driver (and flexible departure time!), provided introductions for a home-made dinner in the apartment, and was all around a responsive and lovely host. The apartment itself is absolutely stunning; it's decorated with beautiful pieces of art and has the most amazing sun rise views (the wall of windows is incredible). Highly, highly recommend this place and would absolutely love to return. Thank you Leon!

Unique experience
We had a wonderful family visit to Mexico City and this apartment was a wonderful base. Close to the Chapultepec park, and the sites therein, we could walk easily to the park and enjoyed that freedom with 3 boys in tow. Also located near a metro stop which was terrific. We used Uber or the metro with ease.
The apartment was kept clean by a lovely housekeeper, and we easily used the well-appointed kitchen. The apartment was one flight of stairs up from the 6th floor elevator stop, and with the height you could see Chapultepec Castle and the many tree canopies just below. The sense of openness was lovely after returning from a day out exploring, the various windows opened easily to allow the breeze to cool the apartment after sunny daytime weather. With our kids, the washing machine and dryer were also very useful! And easy to operate. My kids loved the big beds, and the corner store.
In sum, a unique place, very convenient and would highly recommend.

Ideal location for a family visit to Mexico City
Traveling with my wife and three teenage daughters, we have stayed at HomeAway properties across the United States and around the world. We have never stayed anywhere better than this penthouse apartment. The wide open common space, with wonderful views of the Bosque de Chapultepec, is conducive to gathering and relaxing together. One evening we shut out the lights and watched a thunderstorm roll over the city. Wonderful art and decorations adorn all the rooms. The three bedrooms are private and comfortable, the kitchen and three bathrooms clean and functional.
The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of key sights like the Museo Nacional de Antropología and the Castle of Chapultepec National Museum of History, and easy taxi or Uber distance of everything else. There are convenience stores for drinks and small items within a block or two, and supermarkets within 15 minutes walk.
Arrangements with the owner were simple and straightforward, and the housekeeper who visited midweek was helpful, even with some of our laundry. A private security guard is always on duty, which makes coming and going easy and safe.
We were interested in a trip to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, and the owner suggested Marlene Ehrenberg (http://www.marlene-ehrenberg.com.mx/mapa-ing.htm), who studied archaeology and once worked at the site. A great suggestion which made for an informative and memorable day.
The penthouse apartment is located on the seventh floor, and the elevator reaches the sixth floor, so climbing one flight of stairs is necessary. Within the apartment, a step or two separate some of the living areas. The wifi works well.
Highly recommended!

Wunderbare Tage in Mexico D.F.

Location, location, location
Location by the park (Chapultepec) gave us great access to the castle and museum, plus the plush greenery in a major metropolitan center.
Location in the neighborhood with an Oxxo corner shop and other smalls stores nearby, plus a subway stop (Juanacatlán) down a lighted street three blocks away was a bonus. We were fit enough for the six block walk to Soriana (grocery store) and back home with groceries. The apartment has an elevator for the first six flights but the last one is on stairs, easy. Some of our sturdy crew eschewed the elevator for stairs down and up most of the time. Esperanza pasteleria and bakery was a great find for savory sandwiches on the eastern point of the Bosque (by Metro Chapultepec), although for sweet pan dulce we preferred the bakery just past the metro stop on José Vasconcelos.
The location also meant a straight subway shot to downtown and easy walks to the Roma and Condesa neighborhoods.
Appointments in the home were great for us to cook three or four nights during the week, and beds were firm but comfortable enough for our crew. Leon was very easy to do business with and quickly responded when we had questions in booking.

Best View Ever!
Every year we take our nieces and nephews on vacation over Spring Break. This year was Mexico City. What a spectacular place for a fun exploration of Mexico City. The apartment is huge--with a fantastic open living room surrounded by glass--great views of Chapultepec and the skyscrapers of Polanco. There is also an outdoor patio. The neighborhood is quiet even though it is so centrally located. No need for a car as the metro station (easy connection to Centro Historic) is only one block away, Condesa (great restaurants) is only a ten-minute walk away, and Polanco (great shopping and restaurants) is only a twenty-minute walk away. The afternoons were spent in the apartment watching the rain, lightening, and thunder storms--what a perfect perch! The place is safe, clean, and very comfortable. We are planning our next visit already!

Wow! Awesome penthouse perfect for large family!
We had a great time at our stay in this large penthouse. Leon gave us very clear directions and we were met at the front as we were told. The front gatekeeper was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this property. We plan to stay there again in the future.

The apartment is just amazing! We all loved the view, style and location. Leon, thanks so much for the excellent tips and support during our stay.
I highly recommend to stay here, you wont find a better location and a friendlier host in Mexico City!
We hope to be back soon!

Amazing!!!
This apartment was a splurge for our family and we had very high expectations. I am pleased to say that we were not disappointed at all. This is an amazing, beautiful, luxurious apartment in a great neighborhood. We had a great time and enjoyed this wonderful apartment and exciting city. The apartment is as fantastic as it looks in this website. The views from the living and dining room are incredible. Everything in the apartment works perfectly and Leon is a great host. Leon was in touch with us before our arrival to give us instructions on how to arrive and checked in with us throughout our stay. We very much appreciated his attention and felt like he would have been a great help if we needed anything or had any problems. His mother who lives only a couple of blocks away also checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. Fortunately, we didn't have any problems and have only positive memories of our stay. My family has rented several wonderful vacation homes/apartment in Mexico, the US, and South America over the last seven years using VRBO and this is probably the nicest one of all of them. I am so happy that we rented this apartment and will definitely rent it again if we ever come back to Mexico City.
