About this house rental
This 5 bedroom lakefront home is in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. It has the feel of country and only minutes away from year-round activities including skiing, water sports, golf, casinos, historical sites, fun parks and much more. This 3 level home comfortably sleeps 12. The key features of this home are a sweeping cathedral ceiling, wood-burning fireplace, air conditioning, outdoor hot tub, barbeque, private beach and dock, a canoe and a rowboat. Wifi has been upgraded to 300mbps. A water softener has been added to make each shower or bath especially enjoyable. There are blackout curtains in each bedroom for those who like to sleep late. Each room has its own thermostat for your comfort. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You will see breathtaking views from the 700 square foot deck overlooking our 100 acre lake, as well as from the 8 1/2ft Dining Room table, loft, the dock, and the screened in porch. This property is in Big Bass Lake, an award winning, gated, recreational community with its own security. You’ll be within a 3/8 mile walk to the family picnic area and private beach. The community has many amenities, including an Olympic sized heated outdoor swimming pool, splash pad and an indoor pool, clubhouse with games and an excellent restaurant, playgrounds, tennis, basketball, pickleball, a hiking trail, swimming, fishing, etc. Amenity use passes must be purchased for renters age 7 and above only if the amenities are being used. Parking is free.
Bedroom setup is: Top floor: master bedroom has a king bed plus private full bath, 2nd bedroom has queen bed and 1 set of bunk beds (top twin, bottom full) with bathroom, 2nd floor (kitchen level): 3rd bedroom with queen bed, 4th bedroom has 2 twin beds with full bath in between the bedrooms; 1st level: 5th bedroom with queen bed with half bath next to it. There is a futon on the mezzanine (top level) and 2 futons in the living room. There is a pull out sofa in the game room with full bed.
Renters are required to sign a lease and fill out a BBL rental application. You will be issued a registration number which will make it easy for you to enter the community.

We booked for a last minute long week end and couldn't have been happier! The house and deck were spotless and so comfortable! There was more room than we needed for this visit but hope to come back with the rest of the family for another stay. The area is lovely and peaceful, the lake was clean and we enjoyed a lot of time swimming and boating. The hot tub was a great bonus - clean, large and convenient right on the deck. The owner was very prompt to answer when I had any questions. We loved it here and highly recommend it!

The stay was great - we grilled, hot tubbed, hiked and visited the nearby water park. Managed to get 9 holes in with the 5 golfers in the family and even took along the non-golfer to take photo's for us. Great view, Great feel and the 7 of us had a grand time with our dogs too!

We wanted a place that would accommodate my wife and I, our children, grandchildren and a dog. The house gave us plenty of room and space to be separate as well.

This property was perfect for our annual family vacation with 8 people and 2 dogs. The house was spacious and very clean and well stocked with both kitchen needs and lake equipment. The house was right on the lake which made for easy access. A beach in walking distance made for fun swimming for our kids. We also went on great hikes and visited nearby small towns. We would absolutely rent here again!! The linens service is a must.

We had a great week at this peaceful lake. The house was plenty big for 6 adults and a child - even had an “extra” bedroom. It was clean and well organized with a well stocked kitchen. The lake was great for fishing off the dock or taking one of the boats out. We didn’t swim because of the weather, but the small sandy beach area by the lake was perfect for my grandson to enjoy. Marlene responded to questions right away and communication was great. Would definitely return!

Better than expected and our stay was too short. The home was cozy but spacious with room for everyone all together or off to yourself. I want the lake view for my own!! The owner was great to work with and the home (especially the kitchen) is well equipped for 8-10. Very nice and some great memories!!

My family of 8 enjoyed our stay over Easter weekend here. The house was spacious and incredibly clean. We really loved being right on the water and having the canoe and row boat. Marlene wasn't kidding about the sunsets, we had amazing sunsets every night. We will be back!!

Wonderful few days on a beautiful lake in the Poconos. The house was comfortable and clean and had charming extras that brought our family closer! We played board games, roasted marshmallows, grilled on the deck, soaked in the hot tub, sat on the dock at sunset, had a fire in the fireplace, played pool downstairs, took the boats out in the water. Just a wonderful time. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the day we arrived at the rental, there had been a big snow storm & the house had a down hill drive way. It had been dragged with a snow plow, but it was a sheet of ice, so we had to park at the top on the street. However, we had not been there 30 minutes before a maintenance man showed up with his son & poured dirt & gravel over the ice so the driveway could be used. They went out of their way to help us. His son helped my husband unpack the car, which was at the top of the hill. We have a Sienna van, & it was fully packed. Unfortunately, as most of you remember, the unusual big snow fall & frigid weather was during this week of Christmas. Another big snow came after we were there, & of course, the dirt & gravel on the driveway was covered with ice again. We managed with our cars ok. Under the circumstances, the owner did everything she could to make it workable for us. The house had 3 different heating systems, & we stayed warm & toasty inside! We very much enjoyed staying here. I have to say our family of 10 had a lot of quality time together during this Christmas week. Will plan to stay there again. The young people & 2 dogs had fun on the frozen lake!

Our family needed to get away for the weekend and this was the perfect place! The home is very clean everything is in working order, the boat and canoe were such a nice touch. I forgot bathing suits so we didn't get to use the hot tub. The views from the deck and the dock were so beautiful, caught and released lots of fish, multiple bald eagles flew past outside, in the evenings we played pool, air hockey and board games together all supplied by the home. Wish our stay was longer, we hope to stay again next time we need a getaway! Thank you Marlene!

Everyone had a great time. The hot tub was a hit for some of the adults. Enjoyed watching the sunset each night and sitting down by the lake each day. Lovely experience!

My family and I enjoyed this stay very much. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for the teenagers, kids and parents to all hang out together or separately. The game room was a huge plus and the kids really enjoyed the canoes! It was a chilly fall weekend and the hot tub was a great touch.
If I had to pick one thing to critique I guess I would say that the appliances are a little old/outdated BUT they all worked with out a problem so it really didn’t matter.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was beautiful. Communication with the owner was easy with very quick responses. We had a wonderful weekend and will be back there this winter when the mountains are covered in snow!

We had the most wonderful week here with 9 adults and one toddler. The property was very clean and well maintained, nicer than the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked. We had a great time using the canoe and swimming in the lake. It was a short walk to the playground and the beach which was perfect for our almost 2 year old. The adults loved relaxing in the hot tub. Sunsets from the deck and the dock were gorgeous. There was plenty of space for all of us to spend time together or spread out. It was the perfect property for our family vacation.

Great rental
Owner responded quickly to inquiries. Rental was as described. Kitchen was well stock. Gas grill with back up propane was a great addition. Everyone enjoyed the use of canoe and boat. Close to Delaware Water Gap tubing, Paint Ball and Butterfly Sanctuary. Family of 12 ages 73 to 2 months, something for everyone.

This place is really as lovely as the pictures. Perfect view of the lovely lake from the deck. So quite and green.
I actually saw a bald eagle catching a fish on the lake then soaring into the treeline while I was on my daily canoe ride.

Beautiful Lake Views
We had a great long weekend at this Big Bass Lake house. Eight family members of various ages. Plenty of space for everyone. Each bed room having its own control for heat made it nice and easy for everyone to be comfortable. The spacious deck and hot tub got lots of use. As well as the game room. Great location. The owners were very communicative and made our stay easy and worry free.

Our stay here was great! From the moment we booked, the owner was very attentive and responsive. The home was clean and it was huge! Beautiful views of the lake. We stayed her for a snowboarding trip and had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

We all enjoyed the stay at this rental. There was plenty of space. Having access to the lake was wonderful as well as having a small row boat and canoe at our disposal. The views were spectacular.

A Relaxing Bachelor Party
My friends and I stayed here for my bachelor party and it was exactly what we wanted. We were able to relax and have a perfect low-key party at the house while being able to go into Scranton and hit the bars. The wood paneling gave it a nice old school kinda vibe which was extra fun. Every one of us agreed we'd stay at a place like this again.

Our Favorite Family Vacation Spot
We were happy to once again be able to stay at this lovely home for a family vacation. It was as wonderful as we remembered, having stayed here in 2019. Sitting on the deck and looking at the lake, shaded by trees which also provided privacy, was a favorite. Fishing from the dock and canoeing brought lots of happy smiles.! The home is very clean, well stocked with all that is needed, comfortable and large enough for our family. Communication with the owner was always easy and pleasant and our questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. The community of Big Bass Lake is a lovely community. We are already looking forward to next year! Many thanks to the owner for providing a wonderful vacation home for us to use!

Excellent setup for our family of 12. The hot tub was a big hit. Great being right on the lake and a short walk to the playground/beach.
