About this house rental
Beautiful Lakefront Chalet overlooking the 100 acre Big Bass lake. This 3 level newly renovated chalet has 6 bedrooms plus loft and 4 full bathrooms with 2 bedrooms in each level, 2 king beds(Tempur-Pedic mattress in master bedroom) , 1 queen bed, 3 double beds, 1 bunk bed and 1 futon on the loft, comfortably sleeps 12. The Home has fireplace, Pool table, Foosball, 4 color TV's (56 inch HDTV in the family room), cable, DVD players, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, ceiling fans, AC units in the living room and 4 upstairs bedrooms, deck and screen porch with furniture, gas grill, private sandy beach area and canoe.

Overall the property is exactly like described. It may need a little updating inside but it’s still a very comfortable place. Good walk down to the water but once you’re there it’s fantastic. We would stay again.

The property was spacious enough for everyone. We enjoyed just doing things on and around the property. We all haven't been together in a very long time. Everyone was sad to leave and want to do this on a annual or semi allual basis. As in other revues I have read prior to the trip the property could stand to have some repairs. Other than that it was a good time I will not soon forget.

The property was very clean although is in need of some repair. The spacious house fit our family well with plenty of bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. The view is spectacular from the dock as well as the back deck. There was sufficient amenities for all the ages of our group from the 1 year old to the 65 year old! We loved the canoes and used them multiple times daily. The waterfront was great for adult hanging around fire pit but not kid friendly as the water edge drops and is very rocky. The community beach and playground were a better option but it was not close enough to walk so we needed to pack up the car each day with kids for the short drive. The community Rec center was wonderful with picnic area, basketball, pickle ball, tennis courts and a snack bar. There was a splash pad and nice pool but there was guest fee that is not included with your rental. We loved this property and would definitely stay again. Rosanna was very pleasant to work with and responds very quickly to inquiries and needs.

We stayed here for our annual family vacation. We raised our kids camping in tents, we do not expect or require five star accommodations to have fun, but this property was by far the worst we have stayed in in our ten years of renting.
The property has potential, it is a nice lot on the water, but it is not being properly maintained. I understand living near water means bugs (we live blocks from the Mississippi River) but the volume of webs/debris/dead bugs on the house was indicative of more than a few weeks of not keeping up.
A few other things:
- no working lights in the living room or staircase going up
- patio screen door not working properly, not able to use in evening because it just let bugs in (same with screen room, huge holes in screens making it useless).
- not able to open some windows
- dirt/webs under furniture, as well as from ceiling and in bedroom corners
- basement smells/feels damp even with dehumidifier going 24/7
- MBR AC unit filled with mold
- kitchen needs a reset, most of the large frying pans were unusable due to flaking coating
Additionally, I have never had to pay for linens before. I was told it's standard for the area but we have stayed coast to coast and never experienced such a thing. Not to mention the beach/pool/splash pad cannot be used unless you pay extra as well.
The consensus was this was a good location if you wanted to sit, fish or paddle around the water. Not so great if you have littles who want to play in the sand/water.

We really enjoyed our stay and the accommodations for the 9 of us was good. We particularly enjoyed sitting out by the lake and canoe-ing. The living and dining area is open and comfortable. Some things are in need of updating. All dealings with the owner were very nice and professional. Overall, a great experience.

House was nice with plenty of room for seven of us to spread out. We loved having dinner on the deck every night. Owner was easy to reach, everything worked as expected. Generally, a great place to stay.

We rented this house on the lake during 4th of July week. The house was as expected and perfect for our group of 10. We never felt crowded and our teenage grandson even had a room to himself. We are glad we stayed away from the lake community festivities on the 4th because they looked very crowded. We spent most of our time enjoying fishing on the lake (both from the dock and in the canoes that were provided). A plus was the outdoor community center. The pool was large and very clean and everyone enjoyed the splash park.

We stayed in this property for the 2nd time. It is a very nice home - could use a bit of updating, but overall beautiful. We had great weather and the home accommodated all 12 of us nicely. This group weekend is for a bowling tournament. We enjoyed the fire pit for hours each night by the lake. We had a deer visit us.
Note to owner - the outside railings up to the front of the house and on the side are a bit loose and should be firmed up. Everything else was fantastic!

We were 6 ladies just looking to escape for a weekend. I use to own in Big Bass lake and knew how beautiful it was. The house was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone beautiful scenery and so serine. We decided that we would want to do this every year.
The woman I dealt with was very nice and accommodating. Definitely plan on going back.

Three families (party of 10) stayed for a week and had PLENTY of space to either socialize or get some privacy! The community is quiet and safe. I understand that there is a community pool and beach available, but none of us felt compelled to use them ☺️. The small private beach at the house has a dock and a fire pit. We kayaked, used the paddle boards we brought along and fished from the dock!
While the furnishings in the home are a bit dated, everything was comfortable. We did have some issues with the wall-air conditioning units in the upstairs bedrooms. They would provide cool air for a bit, but then cease producing anything but warm air.....We tried cleaning the vents and reset & restarted the units with only intermittent success.
In all fairness, we didn't reach out to the owner about the issue, because we had packed a couple of ocilating fans for the trip and they helped to make those bedrooms comfortable.
My only recommendation is for the owner to replace the two units on the upper level, or provide fans for guests to use as-needed.
We had a wonderful stay and everyone said that they would absolutely be willing to stay at the property again 👍

Private community with many rules. Unable to fish from shore at the time(Sept.) loaded with weeds and algae. Over the top paperwork and signature requirements for a three night stay.

House location was excellent , lack front. great view from deck . We enjoyed sitting on deck & on small beach in back of house . Inside house we were really disappointed , house needs good cleaning & lots of maintenance

Incredible property
Property and location was great! Plenty of room for the kids to run around. The little beach and boat dock was great for the kids. The property had pretty much everything you could need. We brought our own kayaks as well and had fun paddling around the lake. You can also rent kayaks and paddleboards at the beach. The house is a little dated in a few areas but overall very nice. No A/C on the bottom floor but was told it was still comfortable in July.
Only thing to watch for are the community amenities. The week pass is Monday to sunday and really only seemed to be needed for the pool and tennis courts. Join their fb page to see what all they have going on. They had some activities the weekend we arrived but we didn't realize until it was too late.

We loved the house but we felt the cleaning crew could do a little better. The oven was broken when we arrived and needed to be replaced. The owner had a brand new one delivered and put it for us. The house has plenty of room for everyone. Overall we had a lot of fun during our trip.

Host was great, house was great, had that awesome mountain house feel and decor. overall great stay!! beautiful view of lake and you legitimately have your own small beach. we went when it was cold so no sun rays for us but i still poked around at the waters edge… great private community and awesome security at front gate. just gotta watch woth the very icy driveway, but hey who cares right? it was a winter mountain trip!! if i could give 10 stars i would.

Communication was excellent. There was 12 of us ranging from 2-79 years old! Enjoyed the area and everyone seemed friendly!

The house and beach were amazing. The grill was broken and even though Roseann sent her handyman, the $75 of steak we bought we were unable to grill properly, The frug had no ice machine and they didn’t even have enough wine glasses doer us. Don’t get me wrong, we loved the fire pit,although no wood was provided and the house suited our needs, but having stayed in another Bass Lake House at Christmas , the anemeties were sorely lacking and the broken grill was a huge disappointment.
