It’s a beautiful lodge right at the river. It’s quite far away (about 30 minutes drive from plaza de armas) but this was what I was looking for to have some piece and quite. I really liked the rooms but the best part about it was the staff and the family running the lodge. Everyone put a lot of effort into making me feel comfortable and at home.
It is a bit hard there to get food as there isn’t a supermarket or restaurants around. But if you ask for dinner or drinks, they will be provided at the lodge!

Pablo the owner is an authentic ambassador of the Kukama Culture. He is very engange socially to support and educate the people in his community. He is a very inspiring person. The Casa Kukama Lodge is a project to support the community. Before Covid he has there a school to teach children the Kukama language.
It is true that there can be load until late in the night due to the parties that are held by the river. However, I liked that as it is part of their Culture, but I can understand that not everybody would be OK with that.

Lovely location. Relaxed vibe. Very basic facilities but good to spend a night or two. Staff spoke very little English but were very helpful

Owner and staff were very hospitable. They really care about their environment and culture and want to share with visitors.

Very clean and quiet
The food was not great at all - the girl that cooked it was super nice and tried really hard but would have liked more variety of foods and snacks to chose from

Our family had an authentic and amazing experience. The place is rustic but very clean. The owners and their team are hospitable and helpful with outside activities. They are conscious of their environmental footprint and maintaining the indigenous Kukama culture. It has a beautiful view of the river and is a nice place to relax on a hammock, canoe on the river, and listen to the birds chirping.

The owners and staff are exceptional in making the guest feel cared and serviced! We had a lovely time there. I have seen various jungle areas but this trip was exceptional as in 1:45min one can escape from LIma into the Amazon jungle and wildlife! Thats unique.

I really really enjoyed to be here! Wonderful place, you are literally living in the river, which is supernice, you can chill in the hammock listening nature, or you can paddle around the area! The people who running the place are sooo kind and beautiful people! They are really helpful with everything, and the food is exceptional! There's so much love in the place, I really really liked it, and I will definitely come back sometime! :))

The staff was very friendly and welcoming
bed was comfortable
For that price the comfort was really not that great, I expected a better lodge. Instead insects could introduce themselves everywhere (see pic)
Location really far off and tour operators wouldn't even pick us up there
Breakfast really just basic (for the price)

Staying here was a blast. You truly get to experience a genuine amazon experience with wonderful caring hosts. Pablo runs a great project to preserve the Kukama culture. Make sure to talk to him about his culture and ambitions. It is inspiring. Be aware you are staying in direct contact with nature. Do not expect city life facilities but instead plunge into the simple beauty of the forest

Super friendly family that owns and runs this place. Nice home cooked meals as an option for lunch and dinner.
A bit noisy surrounding, restaurant with music, party boats etc.

The place is clean and quiet - really a great location to relax and just enjoy the nature. We loved it and deffo a place to return.

I loved that it was so emersed in nature. The hosts are SUPER kind and helpful. You honestly left like you were waking up in the jungle. They helped us plan our tours before we even got there.
Mosquitoes and insects, but that's a given because you're in the jungle. But they got a net for bed! We also had some issues with the water but they changed our room immediately!

the property is open in nature and looks over the Amazon river, there are lots of spaces to enjoy.
the property is open onto the jungle so if you are scared of bugs etc this is not for you
4.5
The view, the choices of experiences or tours that you can take but the tranquility and peaceful environment that make you feel fully relaxed.
Think fridges in each room and a bit of air conditioning would be great but we shouldn't forget that we're almost in a jungle and tropical place so 😊
