It was a good size property and with everything you need to self cater and bbq.
The hot tub was a bonus too.
It was the first time I travelled with a pet, so staying in a pet friendly place meant there will be some animal dander but that’s me getting use to it.

A really well equipped glamping pod, the kitchen area was small but useable with a fridge, microwave and 2 ring hob, above expectations for glamping. Also, having a bathroom in the pod was fantastic. The location was lovely, really quiet site with a good family feel and a nice view over the water (although the midges were annoying, I should have bought a citronella candle with me). Overall, it was great value for money.
It wasn't as clean as I would have liked - while it had clearly been mopped (the floor was wet when we arrived) I was not convinced it had been swept / vacuumed first. The fridge and table needed cleaning. We didn't use the BBQ but it looked as though the previous occupants had not cleaned it after use. The bedding was ripped and didn't fit the beds properly (which was a problem as the mattresses were plastic covered so were particularly uncomfortable when the sheets came off).

Enjoyed our stay at Dovestone holiday park the staff were really welcoming and friendly it's in a great location for walking round the reservoirs. The lodge was lovely and cosy and the hot tub was great to get in and unwind after a long day of walking. 😊
Nothing everything was superb

The area in where the log cabins are situated are perfect. Friendly staff. Hot tub
Cleanliness, and standards of the cabin. I was well aware it was a pet friendly cabin although we didn't take a pet. But the smell on entering wasn't welcoming and I had to go out and buy plug in air fresheners. The sofas were material and smelt awful being pet friendly would probably be best with material you can clean after each stay. Carpets stained near bedrooms and bathroom. Outdoor furniture broken and tired. I feel spending £615 for 2 nights the accommodation should be of a hight standard regardless to wether pet friendly or not.

There is no children’s play ground children can’t enjoy

Nothing it’s false advertising I got told I was in a lodge for 4 adults to then arrive to a clamping pod with a small double bed and bunk beds that wouldn’t even sleep children in
All above it’s a joke iv requested a refund no hot tub or correct accommodation

Cleanliness and.location
The mattresses were really uncomfortable. For the amount they charge they should at least provide decent quality mattresses. We returned with bad back.

Perfect location, Dovestones is a truly beautiful place filled with life and natural beauty! We stayed in a pod overlooking the lake which was super cosy and warm with all the amenities you would need. The bed was comfy and the mattress was protected by plastic covering which I loved for hygiene reasons, I put a duvet cover on top of the sheet for extra comfort. We stayed for 4 nights and I had the best sleep every night. The shower was powerful and hot, perfect after a walk around Dovestones in January! The staff are super helpful, polite and friendly, especially Lisa, a lovely human and thank you to Megan.

It was warm and comfy
There was no network at all. We had emergency in the family. They got hold of us very late. No WiFi at all. No television.

Loved the location. The cabin was pretty cute, warm, and cosy. Make sure to take a hike in the area!
My bf has dog allergy and had been struggling all nights we stayed there, they did an additional clean bit it didn't really make a difference,, make sure you're kept your windows open at night, that helped him best! And have your inhaler close by.
Oh also! The pictures for our specific cabin we stayed in showed lodges, so we were under the impression we were gonna get a lodge, kind of disappointing at arrival but too late to look for another place by then.

Well ket me start with sally the so called manager, who was very rude, i booked a holiday home 3, with wifi, tv, hot tub ect, what i got given was apod, with no wifi, no tv and no space to breath, a family of 4 in a pod. I notice when they sent the booking check online that they made an error, rang up hours before i set off, no answer, left answer phone message, then i went through booking.com to again leave a message amd then i emailed them but nothing, i arrive after 6 so yhe office closed was sent a code to get my key, its pitch black with bery little ligjting, over 45 mins looking for my holiday home and no number 21 then stumbled on the pods and found no 21 and the code for the key matched that box, so i rang out of hours emergency number and sally answered, i eas ipset to say tje least so my tone was off, she told me i paid pod price and i booked a pod , i told her i got a reciept for the holiday home, we went back and forth and then she cut me off, ahe then refused to pick up the phone after that. It was a night from hell, in the morn8ng i go to reception it wa sally at first she said sorry and made up thia story about her partner being in hospital and was nearlu crying but when i said i understand that but she could of told me me that and not cut me off and igmore me, then i proceeded to break down the lies she told me on the phone before cutting me off, she then runs out of the office saying she getting security i was so confused as i was making a complaint and yes i wasnt happy but i was in no way abusive or threatening, just challemging her on the lies she told, the handy man listened to me and understood and so dis the security and i was more annoyed now as she was playing victim amd making me out to behaving in away i wasnt. So i told her if her partner was serioisly ill in hospital how come ahe managed to turn up on time for work. So apparently booking.com are advertising holiday homes at pod prices, so what she decided to do is not notify me
But give me a pod instead, she blamed it all on booking.com and said ahe been arguing with them for 10 days about the wrong advertisement, so 10 days she new but i booked this weeks prior in novembet, she knew about the iasie, she knew what i booked and was expecting but decided to put us in a pod, only after i r3fused to pay the differemce did she then ring hoeseason as ahe said they was the ones that put it on booking.com and only when they agreed to pay did i get the holiday home, so half the day gone, iy was my twins birthday and it got ruined by this issue,.i have tried to ring booking.com but it not letting me, i am really uoset and uae booking.com.everytime i go away, mever experienced such rudeness from anyone, i was not at fault and yet we had to suffer because of a mistake that had been going on for more than 10 days, couldnt get help from bóoking.com and jad to spend a nigjt in a wooden box in beda we couldnt fit in, a kettle that didnt work a cooker that had to rings and wouldnt warm up, garden chairs and small.table and thats it and bookimg.com has still got this company on their site with the same advertisment. I feel that both booking.com and this company are at fault as this company new about the iasue but didnt inform the guest coming about the miistake and decided to let them come an give them something that they didnt book, which is not acceptable as this pod was way to small.for 2 grown adults and two 12 years.

scenery was amazing and must to visit place, we enjoyed snowfall while our stay.. the location was so great, all mountain covered in all direction, close to Dovestone reservoir, lots of outdoor activities nearby to do

Loved the positive welcome and beautiful location with nature on your doorstep. We had a great, comfortable stay within a close distance of many local amenities. Will definitely return.
Couldn't fault the facilities provided, maybe a television in the pods would be good for the quieter times during inclement weather.

No door on bedroom.

The views were amazing and there was a very nice 15km walk on the door step.
The incorrect advertising by Booking.com as I was lead to believe I was staying in a lodge, but on arrival I found I had a pod which did not have WiFi or TV, one of which I required to complete work, so I needed to leave early.

The location was in a very ideal place with lots of things to do and transport links within driving limits without it being too far. The hot tub was amazing. The whole place was very clean and the views were incredible.
Perhaps a double bed rather than two singles however, this was more than adequate and just a personal thing. Also perhaps a slightly bigger shower

How peaceful it was and it being close to the Reservoir.
A few items which would be useful in the kitchen like a bowl.

Lovely little pods. Nice and warm when you put heating on.. Parking space right next to our pod. Pity about the weather, raining but nice and cozy in pod.
Nothing. Very good value for money.. Lovely and tranquil surroundings.

The location on the lake/reservoir is beautiful.
The pods don’t have anything in them. There’s no cutlery, bed sheets or anything. We brought our own things however there’s no basic cleaning items like a brush or mop. So impossible to keep it clean.
The cost for 2 nights is equivalent to a centre parcs lodge but with none of the amenities.
I wanted to love it but there’s not nearly enough on offer for the cost of staying. We feel ripped off.
