Bed was comfy and room a good size with adequate tea and coffee facilities.
There was no lift so had to carry my heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs. The shower gave hot and cold water with no controlled temperature, the quilt cover had curry stains on it and the bed smelled of curry so unlikely the bedding had been changed.

Really good value for money if you need a bed for the night. Friendly staff went above and beyond to take care of us. Breakfast was included in the bargain price and was superb. Free onsite parking too.

Some of the website photos could be updated r at least reperesent all of the rooms. I found this place to be clean but dated . I certainly didn't stay in any of the rooms pictured on the website . I will be more careful in future and take note of reviews
It wasn't as I expected based on the website. The place was clean but dated. Staff were courtious

When I first walked into reception I thought that I would love to change the walls to magnolia and the linoleum to a tile design, but I’m into interiors anyway so don’t mind me. As I walked up to my room I thought the carpet on the stairs needed hoovering, and as I continued down the hallway I thought hmm this place needs updating. However, when I got to my room I was surprised because although basic, it was clean and spacious. The carpet was new/clean and the bed/linen was good and fresh. The wooden furniture was nice, and kettle, tv, bathroom was everything that was needed, so I realised I had nothing to complain about. People are going through a lot in the world, so let’s just say Alhamdulillah. I slept well and there was no hotel noise. Parking was good and there’s a park opposite. I would stay here again.
The stairs need hoovering
The grey walls in reception/lounge. Of course these days people like the modern look, but it must fit the period of the building. So fresh magnolia and a change of seating would really brighten the place!

Clean, good water pressure, nice hot water, good heating, free parking, free wifi, well priced, good location.
Pillows too spongy, mattress uncomfortable. The place had a run down feel to it, though it did have character.
Website stated they had a bar. They did but it appeared to have been disused for some time.
About 9.30 on the Sunday morning somebody, presumably a cleaner opened our bedroom door, only to realise we were there and quickly left. Do they not have a list of the rooms that are booked out?
Just as well we were only sleeping, or the poor girl may have had quite the shock!

For a double deluxe room, I was disappointed. Holes in the walls, no lift in the building, not really happy the hotel

Needs updating !
Lovely area and building but needs a lot of work on it to bring it up to a high standard !
Not worth £110 a night without breaking!

Friendly staff, polite and helpful when we requested to see other rooms that were available. The hotel is in an excellent location, a 90 seconds walk to the town centre's bars.
Rooms do not look as advertised. Run down and in much need of decorating and updating. Grubby feel to the corridors and standard of finishing was generally poor.

Location, easily accessible
Free parking
Comfortable bed / nice bedding
No hot water for the shower
Bed really small for two people
Not much lighting in the room - a lamp would be a nice addition

It is a no frills hotel. Every thing you expect is there but only at a very basic level. The location is not great. The staff were "ok". All passable but that's about it.
The room was adequate but it lacked the finishing touches that would make it "pleasant". Too many chips dents and scuffs on the walls and doors.

This is a great location for Rochdale town centre. Quiet location. Individual staff were helpful, if lacking in basic customer care. Bed, shower and toilet were clean and shower worked well. Breakfast was acceptable but depended upon who served it - one day we had sauces, sugar and milk (for coffee), the next none of these.
This place just needs some love - not necessarily a major financial investment, just some thought and a bit of work. It advertises a socket by each bed - not in room 215 (and although we were supplied an extension lead that caused a trip hazard). There was no plug (I bought 3 for £! in town) for the sink. The toilet dribbled all day and night. The corridors needed a good hoover, and the grounds would have benefitted from a day or two's gardening (or at least picking up the dog ends). Our fire escape was blocked by discarded carpet and underlay, and a ladder. Looking at TripAdvisor this had been noted over 3 weeks prior to our stay.

It was clean
This was supposed to be a deluxe room. Haphazard furniture plonked in the middle of the room and seriously needs modernising was not worth £143 price tag. Bathroom was ancient and furnishings tired.
