About this apartment rental
1 Bedroom (King size bed) 1 living room 1 garden- 2 people
Our apartment is located in a residential area of Ealing. We have everything nearby: underground station south of Ealing (Piccadilly Line) is a few minutes walk (about 150 meters). It links to central London in 35 minutes and to Heathrow Airport in 25 minutes. Lammas and Walpole parks are close too (see map). Not to mention the Sainsburys supermarket, the laundry, the Japanese bakery (the baguette is excellent), the salons of tea / coffee, and the shopping center of Ealing Broadway.
The famous and huge Westfield shopping center is on the Piccadilly and Central Line.
There is a spacious and bright bedroom with 2 twin beds that can be converted to superking size bed, and very large closets.
The living / dining room has a table and 6 chairs, a sofa bed, flat screen TV, DVD player, and a small video library provision.
The bathroom is narrow but comfortable, with a bathtub, sink and toilet. (Hair dryer available)
The kitchen overlooking the garden, is certainly small but offers the necessary needed for a stay of one or more days: microwave oven, electric oven, induction hob, Nespresso machine, fridge, toaster, washing machine and all necessary utensils and dishes.
If time permits, you can enjoy the garden and the garden furniture.
We are close to good road links with the A4 and M4 offering speedy access to Heathrow, the M25 and beyond!
⚠️Please note the apartment is not compatible with wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility due to the steps to get to the flat from the street, and in the flat to go down the bathroom and kitchen ⚠️

We loved the apartment and had an absolute wonderful time! Rick was so nice and welcoming. The kitchen was small but totally fine and we had fun cooking in it. Ealing is beautiful too! The little shops and restaurants were a highlight. Perfect location with a short train ride into the city! We definitely recommend the apartment. Thank you Valerie and Rick!!

Everything was great with our 5 day stay. Price was good and easy access to the Tube (underground). 4 min walk to the Piccadilly line.
Host lives above but we never need them except to gain access. It is a separate apartment on first floor. Would stay again!

The host is charming, and was very gracious about our much delayed arrival. The flat had everything we needed, the bedroom was spacious- really unusual for London! -and nights were surprisingly quiet and peaceful given proximity to main road. The living area is also spacious, felt relaxing to come “home” to after long days out. The location is outstanding for close proximity to Picadilly line, and for bus that goes to Ealing Broadway in one direction, and Kew Gardens, as well as Richmond for lunch in “Ted Lasso’s” pub in the other. Also close to a large beautiful park. We would absolutely consider staying here again when next in London.

Great!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Valerie’s and it was just as wonderful as the first. Valerie and her husband are very responsive. The flat is clean, airy, and warm. It’s only a couple minute walk to the tube; shops are close by, and lovely parks, too. It really feels like home.

Had a great time at this location. Easy access to London and airport. Although there was a potential tube strike that all went away at the last minute. Rick helped us with needed heat pad when wife had back issues which allowed us to fly out on time. Nice flat with the outside area being a plus, Treats were a nice welcoming addition! There are stairs to negotiate to get to into flat and into kitchen. The bathroom stairs would be an issue for anybody with mobility issues. Highly recommend!

We had another wonderful time in Ealing London.
Our flat was perfect in every way. Our hosts, Rick and Valerie were very accommodating and helpful. The location was great, just a short walk to great restaurants, shopping, parks and train stations.
We would highly recommended this property to family and friends ! 👍

The flat was perfect: not only well-situated to get around London, but also a relaxing place to come "home" to after a day of sightseeing! The listing is accurate. The flat is on a quiet street and has spacious & comfortable main living areas. There was lots of room in the bedroom closets to unpack and the living room had a comfortable couch & chair to watch movies during our "unwind." The dining table has lots of space around it making it easy to set up meals. The kitchen has all the necessary items for basic cooking & baking needs - along with a few extras. The only thing to note is that the bathtub is a bit snug to get in and out of if you're taller/larger, but if you don't have mobility issues, you can manage.
The host was very helpful and friendly - making us feel like we had come to visit relatives! The "Welcome Basket" was very thoughtful and helpful for our first evening & breakfast there. He gave us info about shops and restaurants in the surrounding neighbourhoods, and transit tips for getting around. We even got a tutorial on British coins! He connected with us during our stay to ask how our visit to London was going and to see if we had any need, ensuring that all was well with the flat. We had such a wonderful stay that it was very hard to leave!
We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Perfect in 99% of ways. Difficult to get in and out of bathtub for older people, and could use more instructions about using TV, however.

If you are looking for an absolutely delightful flat in a charming neighborhood hosted by the most caring and kind owners, this property is it!
I enjoyed several weeks in London while I explored the area and worked on the marketing for my book, BUOYANT.
Everything about the property was perfect from its convenience to the Picadilly line to the wonderful pubs, cafes, and restaurants in the Ealing area, to the comfort and loveliness of the flat.
The flat truly felt like a home away from home.
Valerie and Rick's hospitality is exceptional in every regard! 5-stars all the way around!

We thoroughly enjoyed using this flat as the hub of our five day stay in London. It was within walking distance of everything we needed as well as the South Ealing train station. We would recommend to others!

Our host Valerie did more than she needed to, starting with providing goodies for our daily b'fast and paying for our rental car street parking for all our days of stay. She also offered recommendations for public transportation since the train station is around the corner. Everything went very well and our stay was very positive. If we ever come back to the UK, we will definitely book it again. And we will recommend it to our family and friends since the location is very convenient and our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. Thank you Valerie for your great hospitality and assistance. We really appreciate it!!

We feel like we hit the jackpot. Rick and Valerie were such great hosts. It was easy to communicate with them before our stay. The underground for the Picaddily line is so close as is a little grocery store. Restaurant choices abound. The flat is very nice. It has everything we needed. We felt happy to come home at the end of a full day of sightseeing. There was no downside. We rented a car and it was good to be in the west side of London. It made travel easier.

The hosts were great and had some bread, juice, milk, etc for us at the flat. The flat was in a great location and easy to get in to downtown since it was close to a tube station. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed early check in and late check out. Overall wonderful stay

A wonderful stay in Ealing, once again. This lovely apartment was just perfect, located just a short walk from the local pubs, parks and shopping. We are looking forward to returning soon !

We loved our stay at Valerie and Rick's flat. The flat was clean and airy and had everything you needed. The basket of snacks along with milk, tea and coffee was very welcome. Although there was a heat wave going on while we were there, the flat itself remained cool enough and there was a standing fan which helped, too. There was also a lovely garden to sit in while having your breakfast. The location is great for accessing the tube and bus. All in all, a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Valerie was extremely friendly and helpful, even providing us with some breakfast treats. The place was very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. The location is ideal, close to a Tube station, with some great eateries around, in a safe neighborhood. If you are a tall person, you might find the bathroom a tight fit. There are a few steps down to the bathroom and kitchen. We loved staying here, and would do so again. The photos don’t do it justice. Merci beaucoup, Valerie!

Great, clean flat with a lot of space. Hosts are great people and accommodating and attentive. Neighborhood is perfect location for using the Tube - can make Central London in about 20 mins. Would definitely stay again.

I loved my stay at the Red Door flat! It was a fantastic location, just a couple blocks from the tube station, with still plenty to do in Ealing. Easy commute from Heathrow and London city center as well. There is everything you’d need in the flat, it was perfect for just me but would also work well for two people. Felt like home by the end of my stay. :)

Rented this flat for our trip to the UK to meet our first grandchild. It was clean, quiet, and well-appointed (having the basics stocked in the fridge and a welcome food basket was a wonderful touch!). The flat was just the right size for the two of us, but also with room to have family over for dinner. Everything (Sainsbury Local, Ealing Broadway, and a lot of nice restaurants) was within an easy walk, so no need for a car. The. garden is a cute space that will be great for outdoor tea or dining when the weather is warmer.

We rented this flat to be near our daughter and grandson when she returned to work after her maternity leave and it was just what we needed.
The size, decor, equipment and location were perfect for us.
Valerie and Rick were very welcoming and concerned to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Great location just a couple of blocks from the underground station. Suite had everything you need and was quiet and comfortable. Location was walking distance to downtown Ealing with shopping and restaurants. We made an easy trip to Windsor Castle from here. Would recommend this to other travellers!

Spacious and clean apartment. Close to the tube. Welcoming, easy going hosts.

We found the flat perfect for our needs and our hosts delightful and helpful

Perfect location for transport. Apartment is small but is perfect for 2. Well equipped. Valerie is a very nice host. Left us a welcome basket. Would stay again.

The property was ideal for our four day stay. Very comfortable and enough room for four, especially as we made use of the little garden which is an amazing space. The small supermarket, coffee shops and underground are all within a few minutes walk. Flat feels like a real home away from home, small but everything we could have asked for. Owner helpful and having some essentials like coffee, biscuits and milk already there is a lovely idea. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a base for exploring the city but in a quiet area with local amenities.

I don't really want anybody to know about this little gem in south Ealing just in case it's not available next time I want to stay. What can I say Valerie's flat ticked all the boxes.....location right near south Ealing station easy access to heathrow airport on the tube and to all the places to see in London and surrounding areas....clean and comfortable flat with all amenities needed for long or short stay....plenty of places to dine within walking distance....bus stop right around the corner for getting to places when not wanting to use the tube....wonderful hosts who made us feel extremely welcome....shopping centre just up the road and a local Salisbury store for all your necessities....one of the nicest places I have stayed in.....I will certainly be staying here again when back in London and will certainly be recommending to all who need the perfect holiday flat.....and the added bonus of having a backyard to have a quiet drink at the end of long days sightseeing was the icing on the cake. thank you again Valerie for allowing us to stay with you and see you again soon!

We were a family of 3 in town for a wedding taking place in west London and Ealing was ideally located for us. The apartment was just as described and was clean, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The owners Valerie and Rick were so responsive and accommodating and made our stay very comfortable. Walking distance to the Picadilly line and some great pubs/restaurants (Red Lion pub, Santa Maria pizzeria and Rose and Crown pub) close by as well. Grocery store just around the corner was also convenient. Highly recommended! Would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay. The garden was perfect for the kids to unwind after a busy day of sight seeing, and for the adults to relax with some wine. The owners were friendly and helpful, offering toys to our children to play with and answers to our questions. The "Little Red Riding Hood" basket of goodies was a nice treat on the table, as well as the beer and milk in the fridge. Being close to the tube and the grocery store was an added benefit. Clean, friendly, and inviting. Next time we are in London, we will rebook.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartement in London-Ealing: Situated in a quiet street, yet close to a Sainsbury's local as well as to the Underground, it is comfortable and offers everything for a relaxing evening after having spent the day in London.
Valerie and Rick were extremely helpful and friendly - we can definitely recommend this apartment!

Homely garden apartment which suited us perfectly for our week long stay in London. Our two children shared the spacious front bedroom (Valerie had separated the bed into two singles), there was plenty of storage/hanging space for all our clothes. Large sofa bed in living area, dining table and chairs, TV and DVD player also for our use. Small but perfectly functional bathroom with shower/bath facilities. Separate kitchen with oven, hob, microwave etc and use of pots, pans etc. All towels provided by owner. There was also a washing machine and outdoor line should you need to wash any clothes. We were made extremely welcome by both Valerie and her husband Rick. Many thanks for the welcome basket, it was very much enjoyed and appreciated.
This accommodation is within a couple of minutes walking distance of South Ealing station, a Sainsburys Local also a couple of minutes away by foot. Within 20 minutes by tube we were in South Kensington where all the museums are.
Legoland in Windsor is approx. 30 minutes by car as is Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford.
Would definitely recommend this property and if we are in London we will certainly look to stay here again.

Booked this very last minute but was very happy with my choice. Valerie & Rick were both wonderful and very welcoming. Property has everything you need for a few days in London and is only 2 mins walk from Tube station. Will be back in future.
