The property was clean, larger than expected (this would be a great place for a family to stay in), and felt safe. The neighborhood was quiet, it is a short drive to the Casino (lots of elk to watch when we stayed in Sept) and a short drive to the beach. The WiFi worked great, it was nice to have a washer/dryer available, and the beds were comfortable. We spent time up and down the coast, visiting the redwoods, and enjoying the shoreline. We would recommend staying here in Crescent City over Eureka if you like the smaller town atmosphere and a safer feeling environment. The owner, Cheri, was very communicative and even gave us a call to let us know of some of the things to do in the area. Overall we would highly recommend this property and would likely book it again if we visit the area again in the future.

Quiet neighborhood, not any sound at night. Comfortable house. It's like staying at a friend's house.

Beautiful area, convenient place to stay
We had a fabulous family vacation. Everything about the house was as expected based on reviews, photos, and descriptions. The backyard was quite overgrown for the dog. The kids loved the toys for some down time.

A simple place to lay our heads after a day of play
The house was easy to find, and had the basic amenities needed. My two complaints consist of cleanliness. The garage, where the laundry is, smells very strongly of cat urine. Not a pleasant place to go. Secondly, there was animal hair everywhere, including in the beds. I realize this home allows pets for an additional cost, but I feel the hair should be maintained if it is cleaned as often as it says it should be.

It was a great location. Beach was close and the elk near by was awesome. The house was cozy and great for our stay.

Great place for a family getaway
The house had interesting decor, kept the kids entertained. The owner made it easy to get in and out and everything was clean and well stocked. We were very happy with our experience. This was a last minute booking and we were lucky the previous renters cancelled their reservation. Crescent city has a ton of things to do and see and finding a house on labor day weekend with almost no notice is difficult. We felt very lucky to have found this rental and we had the best time!

Tribal House in Crescent City
We were not impressed upon arriving at this Tribal House. When we came inside, we noticed that trash had not been taken out, the floors were stained with coffee in the kitchen. We went into the bedrooms and noticed the sheets on the bed were dirty, the pillows were stained with what appeared to be blood and the comforters had a dirty smell. We then went into the bathrooms and found them to be dirty also. When we called the owner, she said it had been cleaned the day before. We assured her it was not and asked her what could be done and her response was that she couldn't send the person back out to clean and we would need to clean ourselves if we wanted it taken care of. Would not recommend this place at all. We spent the night in a hotel.

Very comfortable
Cheri was wonderful to work with. The house was clean, easy to locate, and I would recommend this property to others. We enjoyed the games and puzzles she had available for us. We are looking forward to going back to Crescent City again, and I hope we are able to stay there again.

between the beach and the redwoods
We had a great time at this home. Quiet neighborhood, close to beach, town and back road to old growth redwoods. Elk and wild blackberries right down the street. I would stay there again.

Nice, basic place to stay for a small group
Nice, basic place to stay for a small group. Cheri was an absolute sweetheart and very helpful. She was prepared and sent files with information regarding local attractions and directions to the home. The home was in a rural area, only a few miles from the beach. This meant that it was quiet and had a neighborly feel. The kitchen and living room was not carpeted, which made it perfect for our dogs.

Great stay
Staying at Cheri's vacation rental was perfect. Very homie and lots to do right there. Go exploring for more private beaches only 5 minutes away, Ocean World and much more. I would rent again from Cheri.

Spacious, peaceful, welcoming and affordable!
We were only at Cheri's place for one day and night, but thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Incredibly affordable for so much room and so many amenities! The house itself is roomy and welcoming, with really interesting local Native American cultural highlights on every wall. The master bed was super comfortable--slept very well! I love that there were musical instruments to play with in addition to the usual collection of fun board games, puzzles, etc. For simple cooking, the fully equipped kitchen was perfect--with a huge table right by a bright front window for lingering over brunch and a book. Fenced yard was perfect for our dog--appreciate the peace of mind. Cheri herself was very easy to communicate with--thanks again for a great stay!

Basic clean and comfy house close to the beach.
The house is a good place to land after a day of surfing or exploring the coast. There are no pots, pans , skillets of any kind in the house so cooking your own meals is impossible. Also needs a coffee maker! We have 2 small kids and would reserve this place again only if we could do our own cooking.
