Lynn owns this fourth floor 675 sq. ft. condo that provides peaceful ocean viewing and full views of the West Maui Mountains, Molokini Crater, and the islands of Kaho'olawe and Lana'i. From the pool and common grounds, you can see Haleakala.
This unit includes a window air conditioner in the living room and two ceiling fans, FREE high speed 5G (400 Mbps) Wi-Fi Internet access for your laptop and other devices. This unit is a spacious, bright, and beautifully decorated beach-style home. The kitchen is newly renovated and fully stocked with a dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave, full-size fridge, and washer/dryer. This home includes a telephone for free calls to USA and Canada and free local cable TV channels.
Everything you need for your Maui vacation is included: linens, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, and much more!
There is a vintage art collection featuring Hawaiian artists and a library stocked with books on Hawaiian history. The master bedroom has a King size bed for your sleeping comfort and *FULL* size sofa bed in the living room. This home is a wonderful value and comfortably sleeps, 3 adults. There is an extra charge per night for the third guest.
The complex has an oceanfront swimming pool with lounge chairs for sunbathing. Enjoy dining and cooking your meals outdoors. There are propane BBQ grills, tables, and chairs for your convenience.

Ma`alaea Bay is where the whales play and have their babies. Humpback whales can be seen in abundance from your lanai from November through April. If there is a big south swell, the wave off the harbor, "Freight Trains," can be one of the best in the world attracting expert surfers.
Heading south along the sidewalk and past a few condominium resorts is Haycraft Park and Sugar Beach, the longest undeveloped beach on the island. This is a great beach to swim; walk, jog, bird watch, and shell hunt for miles in peace, away from the crowds. The beach is several miles long and eventually connects you to the community of Kihei.
Less than a mile walk along the sidewalk, head north to the shops and restaurants at Ma'alaea Harbor. The harbor amenities include snorkel and tour boats to Molokini Crater and sunset dinner cruises. Experience family fun at the Pacific Whale Foundation, Maui Ocean Center, Maui Golf, and Sports Park with miniature golf, trampoline, rock climbing, and bumper boats.
This condo complex is centrally located to many popular island destinations. By car, approximately 20 minutes to Lahaina, Wailea, and to OGG airport. Another 25 minutes to Pa'ia and Makawao town. Kealia National Wildlife Refuge and the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary is a short drive away approximately a 5-10 minute drive. There is a Maui Bus stop at Ma`alaea Village, from here you can take the public bus system to almost anywhere on the island.

Great communication from property management. Very easy check-in/check-out. Keyless entry to condo is super convenient. Condo is great & has a LOT of random stuff...beach stuff, sunscreen, after-sunscreen, seasonings, cooking oil, laundry soap/dryer sheets, water filter pitcher, and a TON of books/literature about Maui & things to do there. A LOT of Hawaiian-themed tchotchkes everywhere...possibly too many, as they take up space you might use to put your belongings, but they are cheerful & cute. The winds are crazy & blow right through from the entrance to the balcony...between the wind & ceiling fans, the unit was always comfortable. (The stairwell is across the hall from the condo & the door will bang LOUDLY if it's not closed tightly...) The pool is small, but was never busy. Lounge chairs are really nice...comfy. The grills are nice & worked great. The unit's assigned parking spot is easily seen from the balcony of the condo, which also has an amazing view of the water...we missed the whales, but saw dolphins playing on most mornings. Our only quasi-complaint is about the pillows...there are quite a few of them, but none are very great to sleep on. We definitely recommend this property as a great place to stay on Maui!

IS401 was perfect with ocean and mountain views. It was well stocked in the kitchen from dishes to spices. The people are friendly, and the complex is quiet. You can watch the turtles all day long and never get tired of it. If you're lucky, you may see one resting on the little beach, but please don't disturb. We have stayed at this complex several times and will definitely be back. Thank you Lynn for a great vacation!!

401 was so perfect for us! It is in the most convenient location, away from all the hustle and in a quiet little nook where you can just sit and listen to the ocean for hours! We had zero issues so that is a plus! We were worried about only having one window unit coming into vacation. But with the lanai doors and windows open all week, it was no problem at all!! We definitely hope to come back!

Our condo had the absolute most uncomfortable living room furniture I’ve ever had to endure for 8 days!!! I actually had DIS--comfort while sitting on living room couch, chairs!!! Very poor to subject renters to suffer with crap like that. Makes owners look so unprofessional, uncourteous. The presentation of property (condo) very deceiving online. Everything was old, very worn and not something I would have chosen had I actually seen in realistic photos!

We spent 8 glorious nights here and they had everything you could possibly need. The location was fantastic and away from the hustle and Bussel. We were able to watch whales from the Lani anytime we were out there. Short drive to the harbor for whale watching/snorkeling/sunset cruises. Lahaina and Kihei were a short drive. The beach takes a short walk to access but they have parking there if you don’t want the 10 minute walk. Ocean center was next to the harbor. We were sad to leave this little piece of heaven but will be back.

Great spot if you’re looking for a central “home base” for island adventures. Condo is well stocked with everything. Wish we would have found or known about all the beach gear in the master bedroom closet. Those chairs would have been very useful. Lots of cool Hawaiian books to read as well.
Building is a little old and needs some work. Doesn’t really affect the stay though. Bedroom is VERY hot to sleep in even with the ceiling fan going. The AC unit cools the living room well but has no effect on the bedroom. Easily 80F in the bedroom at night. There’s a window that can be opened but the screen is broken and people walking in the hallway could easily watch you sleep (super creepy). Screen door to the patio doesn’t slide properly either but didn’t negatively affect the stay.

Wonderful Anniversary Stay
My wife and I stayed here in March of 2022 for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. Very friendly property manager and easy check-in/out process. Great balcony view and a perfect location on Maui. We will be staying here again for sure! Highly recommend :)

The property was nice and cozy with a beautiful view. There was a nice breeze coming through when we'd leave the patio door open. Location was great and convenient. Bed was a bit bouncy but overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Great Stay!
We loved staying at Mary's property. It was beautifully decorated and the view was amazing. We stayed in July and had no issues with the AC as the air outside was cool at night (AC unit is only in the living room). The only issue we had was with the bed, it was large which was nice but it was too hard and not that comfortable. If you like hard beds you may like it, I was still able to sleep but would have preferred a softer bed. We also could not find the dishwasher detergent, I'm sure if we had asked Mary she would have informed us. Also, personal preference but It would have been nice if the living room window had a larger curtain, i think people outside were able to see in at night. You can tell that Mary put a lot of thought in the rental, there was beach gear in the bedroom closet which was a nice surprise!

This condo is exactly what you need in a great location. It was clean and comfortable. There's always a lovely breeze going through. The lenai is very spacious and has a great view of the ocean. We saw a bunch of whales (we were there in March) from the lenai in the morning. Definitely a great find for a great price

Clean and great location
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we would definitely rent the place again. Central location to both Kihei and Lahaina, walking distance to beach and the unit itself was in good condition and very relaxing to stay in with a great view of the ocean from the living room and patio.

Great Location
We weren’t sure whether to stay on the west side or south side of Maui. Ma’alaea offers perfect access to both! Just a short drive to access most of Maui.
The condo property was very well maintained and clean. The pool area is great and even has two large gas grills for cook outs. The condo itself has everything you need for a long stay. The interior has received some updates, and could use a few more, but is quite comfortable and most importantly it’s clean. The decor is kitschy beach themed, with lots of tributes to the island of Maui. You’ll also find beach chairs and beach towels which came in quite handy! The balcony offered a lovely place to drink my morning coffee and watch surfers. There’s a small beach access just a block away. Snorkeling with sightings of sea turtles is possible right off the rocks (if you’re experienced in the ocean). A harbor with a shopping/dining area is within walking distance. We even spent an afternoon at the aquarium which was lovely.
One point that should be mentioned, Maui is hot and air conditioning is much different on the island of Maui than it is in the mainland. Central a/c doesn’t seem to be common here. There is but one single window unit for the entire condo. The bedroom is not air conditioned and the a/c unit will not efficiently cool it. Fans help. The trade winds are so strong that you can open up the windows and let the breeze flow, which we did many days. I am from the unbearably hot state of Florida, and we survive for 6 months out of the year with central a/c. Being able to open the windows in the summer to cool off with a strong breeze would NEVER happen in Florida and was welcomed.

Beautiful view
We enjoyed our stay at Island Sands. It was very comfortable and we never used the AC as the trade winds kept the condo very cool. The pool was nice and never crowded. At one end of the street was the beach and at the other end was the Maui Ocean Center and Aquarium where there were shops and restaurants. The location was between Kihei and Lahaina and was a short drive to either. The condo was very comfortable and nice to come home to in the evening. We loved celebrating our 40th Anniversary in Maui and at Island Sands.

Great place for our honeymoon
We were very lucky to find this unit for our honeymoon. All renovated and a lot.of care has gone into the decoration. We enjoyed daily breakfast on the lanai which has great ocean views. The kitchen was well stocked, much more than other rentals we've stayed at so that was nice to take advantage of making smoothies or using the toaster oven.
We were unsure about the location at first as most recommend to stay in Kihei or Lahaina but it ended up being perfect as it's so central. For many activities, we saved 30 mins drive as we were very central.

Beautiful view, cozy comfortable condo
We loved our stay at Island Sands 401! The view from the lanai was incredible. We were able to watch surfers from our lanai a couple of days when the waves were great for surfing. It is a convenient location for going pretty much anywhere on the island. It is a short drive to Kihei where there are lots of great beaches.
The condo is very comfortable and exactly as shown in the pictures. We found it to be such a nice cozy place to come home to each day after being at the beach or exploring. Even though there is only air conditioning in the living room we found that we didn’t use it that often as there was usually a great cross breeze coming in when we opened the lanai door. The ceiling fan in the bedroom worked well and made it comfortable to sleep even though there was no air conditioning in the bedroom. Maui Vision Rentals was great to work with! They brought us a welcome package the day after we arrived full of local Hawaiian goodies which was a nice surprise. The key code entry is very easy and convenient to use. The condo and building were quiet. There are beach chairs, an umbrella, and boogie boards to take to the beach. We would definitely recommend staying here!!

Beautifully maintained property with stunning view
We stayed for 3 weeks at Unit 401 and have since done nothing but brag to all our friends. The condo is beautiful and has everything you need for extended stays. Pretty remodeled kitchen with all cooking supplies, utensils, linens, soap for washer/dryer, dishwasher and probably the best king size bed we'd ever slept on. The lanai is to die for-very large with table and chairs and extra seating and the building is set so each unit has a full on ocean view, which is spectacular. The condo is much closer to the ocean than the picture shown. The building is very well taken care of and all the visitors and residents are extremely nice. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Free coffee and donuts on Friday, pool small but never crowded and best grills we have ever seen.
We also loved this area. Maui grew a lot since 1998 and Kihei is just too much noise and action for us. You can drive there very quickly though and tour the lovely beaches, have lunch, get groceries and get out there back to the piece and quiet of Maalaea Bay. Located within walking distance of the Aquarium and boat harbor, it is a charming area all its own. Beach Bums Restaurant was our favorite place to eat and all the staff treats you like family. Make your fishing, scuba, dinner sails all right there--no driving involved--just a pretty walk to the boat in the morning or evening. Deli and scuba and merchandise shops next to Beach Bums.

This condo is a great location and the view from the deck is amazing.
We loved our stay at the Island Sands this March 2017. The condo is equipped with everything that you need. It was very quiet in the unit and there was such a nice breeze that would blow through every day and night. We never used air conditioning.The longest walking beach in Maui is just a few blocks down the shore. This beach is beautiful. There is a wildlife preserve along the beach so there aren't any buildings along that stretch of beach for miles. It is very peaceful for walking and hanging out. There are sea turtles everywhere there. We spent hours watching them swim and eat. Our location was pretty central to everything making it very convenient. Wonderful place to stay but it IS pretty windy out there. Incredible views of the bay and whales right from our lanai! Really nice unit. Clean and comfy. But the gal in the condo bldg office downstairs does not represent the complex very well. Terrible attitude, rude, and made little effort to let residents know the water was going to be off one morning. Nice when you're in the middle of a shower. Not HER problem..... Other than her the place is very nice. Love the koi pond in the lobby and they have super recycling habits there!! Nice to see. Very central location!! And great rates.

Loved it! The bed was very comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, everything you need was supplied, including ziplock bags. The place was decorated with great taste.
