Absolutely stunning!! The photos don’t do this property any justice. This house is beautiful and spacious and the yards are wonderful, and the tree-lined drive way is remarkable.
This property isn’t walkable, but everything is a very short drive away. (5-10min)
Highly recommend this property. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was great for a short getaway with our family. The kiddos loved the backyard activities. The house is BIG- as others said the pictures don’t do it justice. The location is quiet, yet a quick drive (or jog) to Avila Valley Barn, the beach, and SLO. We took pictures under he pepper trees in

The house and property were wonderful!! The location even better! A short drive to San Luis Obispo, Avila and Pismo, but feels like being in the country. Plenty of seating for all 8 of us together both inside and outside, which doesn't happen very often. We spent lots of our time outside enjoying the perfect weather. The fire pit, hot tub and outside games added to the enjoyment. We will definitely be back.

We loved the house. It had multiple, wonderful sitting areas with super comfortable chairs. The backyard was big and equipment for several different games (e.g., corn hole), a BBQ, hot tub and a comfortable, shaded sitting area. The King bed was comfortable. The kitchen was equipped for just about anything you'd want to make. The grounds were lush with flowers everywhere.

Great stay. Beautiful property. Easy drive to beach and activities.

This is such a lovely property, huge house and even better yard (agree with others that photos do not do it justice). Tons of backyard games, big open lawn, nice hot tub, very quiet setting. Cathy is a wonderful host, we forgot our Pack n' Play and she came over at moment's notice to find one in the house we could use! Would definitely stay again

We had a very memorable stay. Great place to hang out with family and friends for our sons graduation from Cal Poly
Would come back here on a heart beat.

We had a wonderful family stay. The house and the property were great. The house is much bigger than the pictures. The location was very close to Avila beach and San Luis Obispo. The property was very private and unique. It felt very private. The frogs will sing you to sleep!

We had 3 generations for Thanksgiving. The house itself is lovely and inviting, with several areas to gather, relax and socialize. The children’s play area in the back was a wonderful plus! The master bedroom is a suite unto itself, with. Its own sitting area as well as a huge bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower.
The kitchen was well supplied with both dishware and cookware, making the production and consumption of a holiday meal an easy process.

The house was perfect for our reunion, location was ideal, kitchen was very well equipped, the views and quiet neighborhood were just what we wanted. Cathy and Chuck were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful home.

This is our third stay at the property and it never disappoints. Love all of the nearby activities for families.

We had multiple family members in town for a wedding in Avila, and this was the perfect place for them to gather and relax. The home and gardens are lovely. Cathy was accommodating and responsive.

As always this was an amazing vacation spot for us to enjoy exploring with our grandkids. We had 2-12 yr olds, 2-8 year olds and our daughter with us. The house is perfect for kids - great backyard with games and space for exploring! As our one grandson said, “This is the perfect place for vacation. It’s close to EVERYTHING!- the beach, the Farm and a trip to Hearst Castle/elephant seals.” They love it here! Cathy is also the best hostess!

This is our second time staying at this property and we could not be happier. Thank you Cathy!

The property was beautiful and exactly what we expected based on the pictures and description. The outdoor space was the main reason we booked this property, and it did not disappoint! There was plenty of space in the backyard to hangout, and different lawn games, like badminton and cornhole, were set up to play. The house was spacious and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. A few minor points to note: the water filters in the kitchen needed to be replaced, some of the dishes in the cabinets were slightly dirty and some areas of the house had a musty smell when the windows weren't open. All-in-all, we would be happy to stay here again!

We rented the house for my son’s graduation weekend from Cal Poly. The house is comfortable and the quiet and the beds were great. But the real star of the house is the backyard. It is a beautiful country setting with lots of space to sit and visit. Plus there is badminton, come hole and a spa. We really enjoyed our time at this house.

We had the most incredible stay. The property was amazing, we had so much fun playing badminton, connect four, and cornhole on the lawn. The house was perfect to cook dinner as a family, and the hot tub on the cold mornings was amazing. A great property, would love to stay again in the future.

This property is AMAZING! The pictures does not do it justice! The house is large! There were 8 of us and there was more than enough room for everyone. The yard is beautiful - especially at night where we sat by the firepit while some of us were in the hot tube and still others were playing board games inside the house. Our host, Cathy, is extremely accommodating. She was absolutely wonderful! We will definitely stay here again. THANK YOU, CATHY!!!

The home is extremely clean and charming and everything smells nice too. We do all our own cooking (chili, rice, pasta, cake... everything) and we wanted for nothing in the very well supplied kitchen. There were tons of very comfortable furniture and plenty of heavy blankets. Lighting was ample and bright from the inside with huge windows letting in tons of light from the outside. Beds, mattresses, pillows, and blankets were very comfortable. The condition and elegance of the house was tip top. It was a truly wonderful place for a relaxing week with the family.
What a fun yard! Lots of grass, trees, and shrubs on the very large property, in addition to a planted garden in the front. Birders take note: over the course of 3 hours, I observed lesser goldfinch, house finch, oak titmouse, northern flicker, hermit thrush, California thrasher, California quail, California towhee, spotted towhee, scrub jay, acorn woodpecker, Bewick's wren, dark-eyed junco, fox sparrow, white-crowned sparrow, golden-crowned sparrow, red- tailed hawk, turkey vulture, Anna's hummingbird, western bluebird, mourning dove, and crows... all within the property (which includes a pond, where I hear egrets and herons come, though I did not catch them). The proper backyard has lots of furniture and a hot tub!
I highly value a quiet property and here we were not close enough to anyone to hear them. You could barely hear occasional traffic on the road from inside the house. At night, we cracked the bedroom window so we could hear the chorus of frogs and crickets from the pond on the property.
Places we went included Avila Beach, a walk along the dunes of Morrow Bay starting from the Coastal Access Butterfly Preserve, Montana del Oro bluffs trail, Monarch Butterfly Grove at Pismo Beach and the beach just past it; all very beautiful. We went to Avila Barn too but my kids were upset at the poor living conditions of the animals, so take note... their fruit pies looked quite nice. We also stopped by Cal Poly and it was a lovely campus in the hills. I wish we had stayed longer for more hikes at Montan del Oro!
Communication with Cathy was excellent.
I recommend this property in every way and would not hesitate to return in the future. If you come, be sure to bring your camera for all the beautiful places and your birding book!

We had a blast here with our adult kids and a few of our grands! The house is large and lovely! The owner is so helpful, kind and accommodating as well! We can’t complain about anything! Loved it!!!

Could not have asked for a better mini Thanksgiving vacation. The house was very comfortable and homey. The location was close to SLO, Avila and Pismo but felt remote enough for relaxing without looking at a neighboring houses a few feet away. Cindy is a great host and responds right away. I highly recommend this place for family vacation.

Exactly as pictured/described. Great location for exploring Avila/SLO. Perfect for our family — everything we needed to cook for kids and the yard is great for family hangout.
We didn’t need to communicate with the hosts because we had everything we needed, but they were just a text away. Thank you!

Perfect! Amazing! Grass area couldn’t have been better for our group.

A wonderful week here with my family for the second year in a row. So many fun things to see and do just minutes from this location. The spacious back yard is a plus when you have children along and we enjoyed the spa, barbecue and fire pit. Hope to return next year!

We had an amazing stay here with family as we explored the SLO area for a few days on our way up the coast. The house is in a gorgeous location! It's so peaceful to sit in the backyard with plenty of seating and scenery! The front of the house as you drive up is breathtaking! The badminton net on the back lawn was perfect for our 17- 22 year olds! We didn't use the jacuzzi, but it looks great! We visited Morro Bay, Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, the Madonna Inn, the Kelsey Winery (up the street), downtown SLO and Pirate's Cove from here. You could also do Paso Robles, but it is a bit of a drive (do-able though). The house has a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of comfortable indoor seating and sleeping arrangements for all! Also, communication was easy and quick for check-in and any questions I had. We would absolutely love to come back again!!

This home has all the amenities that your family could possibly need for a fun filled and relaxing stay. The pictures do not do this home justice, it is much more spacious and open than I had originally thought. The drive up to the home is picturesque, and perfectly situated to give you the desired privacy. Cathy was attentive, welcoming, and gracious. We had a fabulous time and we will definitely recommend to friends, and book in the future.

We had a fabulous time. The property and grounds are beautiful. The house is immaculately designed. We had a family of 5 adults but this would be great for families with young children too.

Our 2nd year in a row and grandkids are ready to go back next year. Short drive to farm ( went there 3 days in a row ) , beach
and 5-10 min from 101 for a day trip to Hearst Castle. Cathy always responded to text in a timely manner. Thank you CATHY !!

The pictures of this property and home don't do it justice. It has absolutely beautiful and peaceful surroundings, while the house itself it quite large, with lots of room to spread out and relax. We saw deer in the evenings, and enjoyed the sounds of the birds in the morning. Overall, an amazing stay!

We had a wonderful stay! When you first drive down the lane surrounded by a pepper tree canopy, you know you’re in for a treat! The home is very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the hot tub, backyard with lights and fire pit every night. Very close to Avila Beach and downtown SLO! We look forward to staying again soon!

This sweet house is so cozy and welcoming. We immediately felt like we were in a home away from home. Lots of comfortable seating and beds. The layout of the house was ideal for our family of five. We all slept well. Our host was very accessible for any questions or needs. She even brought us a local gift. The house had the feel of the country, but was just a short drive to the beach. We hope to return.

We have family in the central coast and stay there often to visit- and it seems we've found our new favorite rental! Such a perfect, cozy home with excellent communication from host Cathy (who checked in to make sure I'd made it and could find everything I needed). Layout is wonderful, with a massive master bedroom complete with two sitting areas, and two other bedrooms down the hall for the kids. The home has everything you could need in the kitchen (even a waffle maker!), and all is in great condition. Also the rare home with a huge grassy yard for kids to play. All of the outdoor fun items were truly enjoyed by my small kids. Close enough to walk to the Bob Jones Trail or make a quick drive to Avila or SLO. Perfect location. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay- I hope we're able to return!!

We had such a wonderful Christmas at this house. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us to spread out and have both shared and individual, quiet space. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in! Quite large with ample space for the cooks and the people hanging out. The property itself was beautiful and quiet and in a great location. Only a short drive to Avila Beach and hiking trails, which we really enjoyed. Thank you, Cathy, for your hospitality and help to make our holiday such a wonderful experience!

A perfect location for our family birthday get together! This charming house had plenty of space for our group of 5 with even more outside entertainment areas.
We had no little ones in our group but the backyard play area would be great if we did. The reservation, check in & check out process was as smooth as could be. It is very close to the Bob Jones Trail which we walked for a 3 mile trek to Avila Beach. Would definitely recommend this listing to others.

We loved everything about this rental from the proactive communication by Cathy to the many beds and bedrooms. We used the well-appointed kitchen regularly for meals and enjoyed hours in the backyard. Looking forward to staying again next year. Thanks, Cathy!

We stayed for three nights in this home to celebrate my mother’s 100th birthday with extended family, ages 1-100! The spacious interior and exterior spaces worked well for us.
2.5
Exactly the right property as advertised and we all agreed it fit our group perfectly. The beach wasn’t a priority this trip, but it’s only a very short drive away. Thoroughly enjoyed the area (again) and the property was ideal with plenty of space for all of us and friends.

This is the best VRBO I've ever stayed in. The house is huge and has many beds, the yard is large and has fun yard games for friends or kids. The hot tub is a great touch. The setting of this house is absolutely incredible, you are far from any other home and surrounded by nature. It's extremely peaceful. It's also just a short drive to the actual beach in Avila, and close to the freeway so trips to SLO or Pismo take minutes. Cathy is a great host and was quick to respond to texts. Highly recommend this for groups of friends or a family vacation.
