Not at all as expected
We left early after 1 night and moved to a hotel. The beds and linens are poor quality, the home is old and worn down in most areas. Outside was dirty, the grill & coffee pot were filthy. The owner was very responsive and a nice person. This property was not near the quality of any other home rental I’ve styed in anywhere in the country.

My friends and I had a great stay at Laura's property. The home was very clean upon arrival and she went out of her way to make sure we were able to check in smoothly.

Great Quiet Place
Five of us stayed here and the place was great for our group. The townhome is very nice. Very quiet area and well maintained. Very easy to get around. Great pool, though the water was very cold. The owner is very easy to get hold of and was great to work with. I would stay here again if I came back to the area and I would highly recommend this place. I wish the horse races would have been going and it would have been even better!

This is a great value and easy walk to restaurants, fitness center and dog beach. Easy access to I5 and golf driving range. The windows are old, so not as quiet as we are used to, but on hot days, we wore ear plugs at night and left the windows open all night. Nice fresh ocean air all day, so we almost never closed the upstairs windows. Sufficiently equipped kitchen, but I would bring your own non-stick pans and a spatula. No ceramic bowls with lids to microwave stuff in. Excellent gas stove. It could have been cleaner on move-in. We emptied and cleaned the frig. Bathroom fans were all noisy and barely turning, so I cleaned them and lubed them and now much better. Vacuum cleaner is worthless. Need a new one. Several neighbors were really nice and we had them over for dinner and they invited us for drinks. No noisy parties here. Mostly working people. There are virtually no homeless around here and it is more upscale, so you are safe to walk anywhere and no need to worry about theft much. Location is far enough from I5 to be relatively quiet and close enough to the beach to get the cool fresh air. The landscaping and gardens are immaculate everywhere in Del Mar, so there are a lot of gardeners making noise with trimmers and lawn mowers etc., but not too early in the morning. Water is terrible tasting here, but you can get Carlsbad artesian water from Gelsons market nearby. TVs were great and we used Netflix in the master bedroom. Watched the news downstairs in the living room. Connected to the internet wired in the master for security. Beds were okay, but not great. I flipped one mattress around and it was better. These should be replaced. Sufficient blankets and towels. Convenient dumpster so no need to put trash out at certain times. Dog beach is no-leash during off seasons and leash only during the summer. Its a kick, even if you have no dog. The garage was great if you have a valuable car or golf clubs to stow. There are no power outlets there, so if you have an electric car, no charging allowed. If you have a Tesla, the charger is about 10 miles down I5 and usually available, although busy at times. My dog, wife and I had a great time here. We think you will too.

California Dreaming! We stayed at this property in March of 2014. The owner had decided to rent it just after completing the nicely done and tasteful renovation. The place was brand new! The kitchen had all new appliances and a brand new high efficiency washer/dryer. Everything we needed was there! But the best part about the place was the walk along the beach to the town of Del Mar where we could get Starbucks in the morning, hang out on the beach all day, shop the town, have lunch (there are great restaurants in town) relaxing as we overlooked the Pacific Ocean. We'd then walk back to the condo for a swim and some sun at the lovely pool. It's a very quiet complex, we hardly saw anyone. The owner is very nice and accommodating and lives in the area. If we needed anything, in case of an emergency, she was there. But we didn't since everything was provided. We'd recommend this place to wake up and walk along the beach was Paradise! Thanks for having us!
