About this house rental

Enjoy a renovated OCEANFRONT luxury duplex with amazing 270 degree south-facing views for all day sun on the beach! This family-friendly and immaculate home boasts an open main level with living/dining space, a renovated kitchen, and main level queen bedroom. This versatile floor plan includes a 2nd floor with master suite with oceanfront views and two additional well-appointed bedrooms. The kitchen features granite countertops, tile backsplash, newer appliances, and is well stocked with every gadget and utensil needed to prepare large meals or accommodate take-out from the many restaurants on the island.

Sit on the covered deck and watch the sun rise and set over the sparkling water. The house is positioned closer to the dunes and ocean than the neighboring houses for unobstructed views up and down the island. Watch the kids play on the beach from the deck or the many ocean-view windows in the house.

Enjoy an evening walk on the beach to multiple restaurants on the island serving fresh seafood, steaks and refreshing island drinks. Have dessert at the local ice cream shop before heading back for a relaxing night listing to the ocean surf.

Holden Beach is a quiet, family-friendly beach recognized as a top beach by USA Today and a top-10 beach by National Geographic Traveler’s Magazine. There are no hotels or high-rise complexes, just family owned cottages. Really enjoyed the porch because of a great view of the beach while sitting under a roof. Kitchen was well stocked including a blender and steak knives (we usually have to bring our own). Beds were comfortable. Living area/kitchen was just right for 5 adults.

The property was great. Small issue with wifi. Little or no wifi on side of duplex without the router. Also would have liked to had a least one full length mirror in unit. Other than these small issues had a great time. Loved the location with small drive times to stores, grocery and restaurants. Thanks.

Great location right on beach, comfortable for 3 couples and 2 kids in the 4 BRs. Parking for 3 cars. Ample cooking equipment and plastic containers for leftovers was a nice touch. Beach is nice for walking and not crowded. There was another family in the other VRBO side and that was no problem at all, just share stairs and walkout to beach.

We spent a fabulous 5 days, the house was amazing, we rented one side and the brides family rented the other side and everything was perfect! The house is so beautiful, the house has everything we needed! Cannot wait to return, actually I did not want to leave!

We had a girls weekend and had a great time. The condo is right on the beach, which is what we wanted and we loved that. There were four of us, so we each got our own bedroom. We had an issue with the coffee maker, but it was replaced by the property managers that morning. (Which you know was important!). We would stay there again. There was very little traffic, which was great, since we've been to the beach in Florida that had horrible traffic. The only advice I would give to future renters is to read the suggested packing list. There truly is nothing there to use: no shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. Bring all your own things!

We were a family with 8 people including a 1 year old and a 5 year old. The property was very clean and included lots of kitchen supplies (bowls, pans, knives, utensils, etc). It also had several baby gates which we appreciated. It's not huge but was plenty of space for us. The ocean view was unbeatable. It's a 3 minutes drive to Holden Beach activities/restaurants. This area doesn't have tons of options for food/activities but it was enough for us. Good communication also.

We did not have a 5 star experience. Some things were great: Location, view and beach access. The house was very clean, had great AC, and beds were comfortable. Some things were not great: The customer service was lacking. The first 24 hours were rough: 1) The smoke detector went off in the middle of the night- kids crying, could not turn it off, 2) We asked for a key to lock the back door while at the beach (since sharing a porch with strangers it seemed reasonable), and 3) We could not get the "smart TVs" as advertised in the listing to connect to our Netflix act. We asked multiple times for a phone call to talk through these issues- no call or answer. Just frustrating back and forth on text chains and email. He said 1) smoke detector was "probably the neighbors" didn't address it again 2) they offered a key- after tedious exchanges where he first suggested we use the front door and a different beach access, and 3) they don't have functional smart TVs, they have cable. He told us to "stream through our devices". He stopped responding, which was very disappointing. We felt these were valid issues, guess he did not. Wish we'd known: No outdoor shower- there's a hose on the porch, limited hot water (share with the whole house?), different couch than pictured- LR seats 4 max, no dish dranier & one kitchen towel, neighbor's cigar smoke travels across the porch. We've come to HB for 20 years. Can't beat the location, but the stay did not seem to match the reviews.

This was our first time visiting Holden Beach. It did not disappoint. The beach is beautiful, the people are so nice and friendly. As a visitor it was easy to see this is a community. It’s a special place that we will definitely be back to visit. We all enjoyed the small town feel, but everything you need is within five minutes. The restaurants served delicious food. It was PERFECT!

The property is amazing, right on the water, closer than expected to the beach (the pictures dont do it justice, you have to see it for yourself). Property was very nice and clean, amazing views, AC worked amazingly (this has been an issue at other properties) neighborhood was fantastic, great places to eat nearby, lots of boating activities for those that like that. And the beach itself was awesome! We had 4 days of 2 hours+ sandbar where the smaller kids could walk out really far and have a blast! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Location was excellent. Property was clean. I was able to check in early by contacting the owner who quickly replied. Upstairs Ocean Front bedroom noisy when windy. Sounded like a helicopter in the distance when really windy. Overall stay was magnificent.

When you rent online, usually the listing doesn’t end up looking as nice as the pictures make it out to be. In this case, the pictures didn’t do this place justice - beautifully updated, clean and decorated! There was plenty of space for everyone and the beach access is priceless! I would definitely recommend!
