About this cottage rental

Cozy cottage located in the heart of Galilee. This rental is 1 of 8 cottages located on a private gravel road behind Busta Krabs restaurant. The cottage has 1 bedroom with a full-size bed and a play-pen queen size sofa (LINENS/TOWELS NOT INCLUDED). The cottage sleeping arrangements will accommodate up to 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children.

Living/dining room area includes a flat screen TV and Wi-Fi. Small kitchen area with full-size refrigerator, 2 burner electric cooktop, large toaster oven, toaster, microwave, drip coffee pot. There is a full bath with shower stall, plus an outside shower to wash off the sand from a fun day at the beach. There is also a large outside deck with a gas grill, patio furniture and lounge chairs to complete your fun day in the sun.

This small and affordable cottage is located in the "Port of Galilee" a quaint fishing village with beautiful beaches within walking distance, sightseeing cruises/tours, quality shopping, dining and exceptional fishing/quahogging. You are just steps from Salt Brine State Beach or take a 1/2 mile walk to Sand Hill Cove/Roger Wheeler State Beach. Restaurants, local fresh seafood markets, and an ice cream parlor are a few more fun things to do and all are just a short walk from your front door. Stroll down to the Galilee channel boardwalk, or pull up your beach chair and watch the fishing boats motor by.

Galilee is also home to the Block Island Ferry. The ferry terminal is located across the street, with ferries leaving daily. Why not plan a day trip or overnight stay to the magical Block Island during your vacation. An ideal and affordable family vacation or romantic getaway to collect your thoughts by the sea.

Good location for beach access and restaurants. Cottage has a small kitchen with an electric portable stove. Need a larger stove for cooking. Outdoor grill wasn’t fully working properly. Pleasant stay otherwise. We would stay again.

The weather was fabulous. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Galilee beach. Close to George’s, Champlain’s and a short walk to many other eateries, as well as the Block Island ferry. The neighborhood was safe, but quite crowded and close to an RV park. The house was clean and well air conditioned. The outside deck is very nice and fairly private. Could not find the beach chairs mentioned in the description. The grill had an empty fuel tank, so could not do any grilling. I guess it should have mentioned to bring your own fuel. Also you’ll need to bring along ground coffee and coffee filters. All in all it was a great time and I would consider repeating the experience.

This is our 2nd stay, the place was a bit cleaner for our 1st stay, other than that it is perfect. Wake to beach, restaurants, fresh fish and Block Island Ferry. Great for 3 people, barbecue every-night and eat on the deck. Enjoy a week at the beach.

Close walk to beach and restaurants. A little difficult to find at first because you need to cut through restaurant parking lot to get to cottage but overall very enjoyable.

This is the best kept little secret area. Walking distance to the beach, dining, tiki bars, shopping and the block island ferry. Also quiet enough for relaxing on the huge inviting deck, with coffee, a drink or grilling. This is our 6th year and we absolutely love it! See you in 2024!

Perfect just what we needed. We loved the location. The cottage was very cute, quiet, cozy and safe. Short and easy walk to the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay. Would love to book again. Absolutely a beautiful place.

While the location was central to everything - beach, restaurants, ferry to BI which was nice, the cottage was surrounded by campers on one side and a huge parking lot on the other. The bed was small (maybe full size) and very uncomfotable. We took turns sleeping on the sofa which was also uncomfortable. Not a fan of having to bring our own towels and linens.

Perfect location! walk to everything you need, perfect size for two adults one child, nice deck (when we were not at the beach we spent most of time on they deck). Out side shower is nice. Very quiet at night. Will rent again.

Our third stay at this beach cottage. We love it here. The beach, great seafood, ice cream, gift shops, ferry to Block Island all within a very short walking distance. The cottage is well equipped including a wagon to easily cart all your gear to the beach, very clean, comfortable and we really enjoy the private deck and gas grill. Look forward to returning next year!

My family has been vacationing in Rhode Island since I was a kid, but this was our first time staying in Galilee. This was probably the best RI vacation I've had as an adult because of the cottage's great location. We didn't need to drive anywhere. We walked to the beach, restaurants, and shops, and took our bikes out exploring. The cottage is one of several in a little island of cottages surrounded by parking lots, but its large deck offers complete privacy. Evenings we sat on the deck and enjoyed the live music from Buster Krabs or took a quick stroll to the beach to enjoy the entertainment at the Tiki Bar. Before our trip, I contacted the owners a couple of times with questions and they responded immediately. Thank you Bob and Donna for sharing your fantastic little cottage!

Perfect location, small but quiet and clean,: great private deck with awesome grille and quality deck furniture. Delightful surprise to see the owners provided a beach wagon for carting our chairs, etc! Note - there is no door between the bedroom and the living area. Just a curtain. Bring fans for white noise privacy. All in all a very enjoyable week - we went to the beach, out to restaurants, caught the ferry to BI - all without using the car.

We were extremely impressed with the location and the cleanliness of the cottage. It was perfect for getting over to Block Island and it was only a 5 minute walk to Salty Brine Beach. In addition, both the outdoor shower and the indoor shower had great water pressure and there was plenty of hot water. We spent nearly every night sitting out on the deck and grilling on the magnificent grill. We were there for the month of August and had great weather...would definiteley recoomend this cottage.

We loved our week at this cute cottage! The location is perfect! My Fitbit recorded just under 1000 steps from the cottage to the water! Salty Brine beach is the best beach for swimming with gentle waves that don’t knock you down! The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the large deck, cooking on the grill and the lovely sea breeze. We only used the outdoor shower because it’s something we just can’t do at home! Everyday right from the deck we spotted an osprey or two perched on a utility pole eating a fish which was really neat! With the exception of 2 trips to the grocery store we never used our car. Short walk to the beach, great seafood, ice cream shops and so much fun watching the fishing boats and ferries come and go! A great cottage and a perfect and very relaxing beach vacation. Already looking forward to next year!

Great little cottage so close to the beach! Loved walking to the beach everyday! Perfect for 3-4 people. Very large deck! Wish there was a stove and that the sink area in the bathroom was bigger. A few more tv channels would have been nice too. Great a/c and very comfortable and quiet! I would totally recommend this cottage! Oh and great property managers!

Perfect for our little family

Perfect for our little family

We had a lovely stay at this adorable, well-kept, clean cottage! It was perfect for our family of three! The pullout sofa was a nice surprise and a great place where we gathered on a rainy day to play cards! The kitchen was perfect and we didn’t need anything more than what was there. If we weren’t at the beach we were enjoying the large deck and shade from the table umbrella. The grassy area in the backyard was perfect for a game of ring toss or corn hole. The only complaint we had was the shower curtain on the outside shower which kept blowing in and sticking to us while we were trying to take a shower . Eventually we just flipped it over the side and took the chance that somebody might walk by us LOL! The proximity to the beach and restaurants can’t be beat. While it was raining at home we had gorgeous weather all week and the beach wasn’t crowded at all! Salty brine and this cottage are diamonds in the rough. We highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return next year! The owners were super accommodating and always responded to any questions we had quickly. Thank you Bob and Donna for sharing your home with us!

Great house, really enjoyed the location, Galilee is a nice quiet area to stay in with a lot of local attractions and only a 5 minute walk to beach. Perfect when traveling with little kids, would definitely rent again.
