Upon our arrival, we had a warm greeting by the owner. The first thing you notice is the view. It is magnificent. - views out to Fishers Island, lovely boats at anchor all seen from the lovely lawn and garden. The house was very clean and very well equipped. We cooked most meals at the house and all the kitchen gadgets we needed were there. The front room, which faces the water, is roomy with comfortable seating for all of us. The bedrooms were comfortable, decorated with lovely seafaring themes. Views from all the rooms were just spectacular., even washing dishes was a pleasure because of the window view just above the sink. My only negative would be that in the description it did not mention the very steep and narrow staircase going up to the bedrooms. We are all in pretty good shape but climbing up and especially down was precarious.

Our family loved every minute of our 6 night stay here. The house is immaculate, beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We were able to keep our small boat at the dock behind the house which was so fun as we had beautiful weather the entire time. It truly felt like our very own vacation home. Checkin and checkout was super easy with Victoria. Wonderful family time and wonderful house!

Our family (parents and 4 kids aged 9-18) stayed at Burdick Place while visiting nearby family. Growing up nearby we knew the location would be perfect for the things we enjoy most -- crabbing off the dock, eating lobster rolls at Abbots, spending time in Mystic and Watch Hill. The house was very clean and well maintained, the owners were very helpful and friendly (we loved meeting Victoria and reminiscing about the fun growing up in Noank), and we couldn't have had a better time. Sitting on the porch watching the boats go by is so relaxing. We went to Carsons every morning and grabbed takeout from either Abbots, Costellos, or Fords most nights. If you're looking for pizza, Pizzetta in Mystic is great, Drawbridge has late-night ice cream, and the Watch Hill Flying Carousel is a can't miss for kids. There's no way to dislike Noank, but Burdick Place made is especially nice. Thanks so much to Wayne, Victoria and the entire family for sharing your home!

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at this wonderful home. The town of Noank is quintessential New England in every way, and this home is a prime part of its history.
Part of the family tradition for generations, to stay here and meet the owners is to feel like you are part of the family. Warm and wonderful people.
The house is well equipped and spacious for a family stay. Two nice bedrooms and a fantastik kids room with bunks. The downstairs rooms are spacious, but we spent every minute we could outside between the patio and the dock. There is a substantial T-Dock that was ideal for sitting out and watching the boats and was among our best memories.
Great food choices nearby and walkable - Ford's and Carsons (wonderful breakfasts) are a must - all tie in with a great summer break.
Thanks for sharing your home with us.

My family and I spent a week at this property in Noank. We had chosen it due to what seemed like a lovely location and proximity to family in Watch Hill, RI, but weren't sure what to expect. We have been deceived by VRBO images and and reviews in the past, so were happily surprised when the property turned out to be nicer in real life than is presented in the photos. It's a very clean, comfortable, well-appointed historic house right on the water with fabulous views of Fishers Island Sound and a nearby marina. One can eat both inside and outside and enjoy the lovely views, or take a walk to three nearby casual fish restaurants for a lobster meal or some fried clams. What surprised us the most was Noank's charm. It's small, friendly village marked by lovely historic homes. You mustn't miss breakfast or an ice cream at the local cafe on Main Street. And don't forget to start your day with an early morning kayak around the Noank peninsula. If you're looking for a very relaxing, lovely base in northern Ct, we strongly recommend staying here.

This is truly a special place - We are so happy to have found it! I’ve been visiting Noank / Mystic all of my 44 years and to be able to stay in this lovely home with my 3 children & husband is so special to me. We’d been there less than 24 hours & were confident that we will be back!
The kitchen was equipped better than any other I had experienced... A lovely note, instructions and snacks were waiting for us upon arrival... The owners were always available by text for us to answer any questions and the home itself was comfortable, cosy and clean as could be! Thank you for making such a lovely place available to people like us who truly love the area!

This was our second year staying in this beautiful house in a town that has barely changed in 200 years. The house is very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. It was built by a shipbuilder and the architectural details such as the flooring are beautiful. The property is situated on the water with magnificent views and direct access to swimming and kayaking. Colorful boats and islands provide a constant treat to your eyes. The town itself is seems barely touched by the passing of centuries since it was originally established and its shipbuilding and fishing heritage is deeply woven into the fabric of the village. The owners are kind and very responsive to anything you need. I cannot imagine a more perfect place to spend a summer vacation. We will be returning next summer.

If you love the water and boats, this is an ideal place to stay. Adored walking to real local restaurants (Carson's for breakfast, Abbot's Lobster/Seahorse/Ford's on the Dock for dinner) Can't imagine a better escape to by gone days of relaxation. One neighbor is even a lobsterman! just magic- wb

We stayed at this beautiful, historic, and updated home for a week-long vacation with three generations of family. The house is clean and well appointed with modern amenities while keeping the charm of the original house. The porch in the back, which became the center of family activities, provided a sense of privacy and a lovely view of the water and sailboats. The dock and beach access made it possible to be out on the water every day. The owners were very responsive to questions about the property and helped me to decide if this was the right rental for our family. I hope to return in the near future.

If you want to see what the New England Coast was and should be, stay at this house or a week, don't drive your car, walk to everything and have an awesome stay. Swimming off the dock, fishing, 3 seafood restaurant options within in walking distance, awesome for boaters. This is a well kept house, spent days on the porch and the docks, relaxed and the owners are always available. You won't forget this spot and the rest is up to you!

My husband and I loved our week in Noank. The house has lovely old world charm. It is one of the cleanest and best equipped houses we have ever stayed in - and we have been renting through Homeaway for over 20 years. The hosts were warm and welcoming - answered every query promptly before we arrived and Victoria was great once we got there. The dock is super-convenient for swimming, making the water accessible even at low tide. We will be back! Thank you to the Burdick family! Kathleen and Ulf

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Burdick Place. The view from the house is even more spectacular in person than in the photos. We loved watching the boats sail by the living room window, the porch, or up close from the end of the dock. This is a special property, in a surprisingly private setting, nestled in the historic fishing village of Noank. If the weather is nice, leave your car at the house and enjoy a short walk to Abbotts or Fords for dinner - or Carsons for brunch. Tip: skip the crowds at Abbotts and bring your lobster back to the house for a special sunset feast at the picnic table.

The Village of Noank and sourounding area of Mystic is one of New England's Gems. The history and access to Long Island sound is perfectly captured in this wonderful home and location. The home is well kept, comfortable, with all the amenities you could ask for. The 7th Generation owners obviously love this home and property. Tastefully decorated with just a hint of nautical theam. Wonderful summer breeze on the covered porch offers in obstructed views of one of the top 10 boating destinations. Large private dock, and small beach are perfect access to the water.
You will enjoy your stay and want to come back year after year.

So charming! The most gorgeous views in CT. Quaint New England village but we could walk to wonderful places... Carsons for breakfast..Fords Lobster, Abbotts Lobster... an art gallery and even a little market and package store! We'll be back! Great swimming off the dock and even had our own private little beach. Clean swimming water and we even bought lobsters fresh off the boat from a neighbor..a wonderful working lobsterman/fisher! Lifetime memories.
