My home is only a seven-minute walk (2 minutes by car) from the impressive galleries, bars, restaurants, boutique shops, architecture and cobbled streets of the Old Market National Historic District (whose highlights include The Boiler Room, Le Boullion, La Buvette, V. Mertz, Blue Sushi, Jackson Street Booksellers, and the the famed Blue Barn Theatre (now relocated to a few blocks from my door) and the newly revitalized Gene Leahy Mall.
Within a few short blocks of my home, you have the Heartland of America Park, the sundry landmarks of Little Italy (Orsi’s Italian Bakery, St. Francis Cabrini Church, Santa Lucia Hall, Marino’s Italian Grocery, and the Sons of Italy Hall), Little Bohemia (including Archetype Coffee), the Omaha Rail and Commerce Historic District, Dahlman Park, a local Cross Fit, yoga studios, massage, several groovy cafes, plus incredible views high above the mighty Missouri River.
Within a 10-15minute stroll north you are at the CHI Arena (home of great concerts, the annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting, and the Creighton Bluejays college basketball team), Ameritrade Stadium (home of the annual College World Series), Slowdown (a club co-owned by Omaha’s own Conor Oberst of the band Bright Eyes and Saddle Creek Records), Film Streams (which shows excellent retrospectivies, plus indie works; Omaha's famed director Alex Payne is on the board), the Holland Performing Arts Center, Kaneko, the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, bike trails, parks, and more. And within a 3-minute drive to the south, you are at Sokol Hall (where all manner of cutting edge rock bands perform) and the famed Omaha Botanical Gardens.
Within a five-minute drive south you are at Interstate I-80, which will take you quickly to all other parts of Omaha plus nearby Council Bluffs (including casinos, Lake Manawa, and more). Within a seven-minute drive to the south, you are at the world-renowned Henry Doorly Zoo. Within a 7-minute drive to the north, you are at Creighton University. Didn’t spend a lot of time at the house, but enjoyed the convenience of the location, accuracy of the listing, and the detailed description of everything.
With the super hot days, we found the 72 degree limit on the thermostat to be a little to warm for sleeping upstairs...fans were helpful.

The property is located conveniently to old downtown. We had all the amenities needed, except for wine glasses 😂 only two in the entire array of cups and glasses. We dined out in restaurants suggested by the owner and his suggestions were on point. We cooked breakfast and took our time getting our days started. Totally relaxing!

Great Girlfriend Getaway
This townhome was perfect for our girlfriend getaway. There were five of us and with one willing to stay in the "bedroom of sorts," which was cool, dark, and comfy, we all had our own bed. The location is great. The property looks great on the inside and outside and has everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay.
The location is great. It is a very quiet, clean, beautiful area within walking distance of downtown. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, time around the dining room table, and relaxing in the living room. Having three bathrooms for five women was also a plus.
The owner, James, was extremely communicative, responsive, and accommodating.
We definitely enjoyed our stay in Omaha and at this home. We recommend to groups staying in the fun city of Omaha for a long or short while.

Cute and clean house
This house is super cute and very clean. Great location as well. Only negative for some may be the train noise, it is loud and shakes the house.

Friends in Omaha
We flew in for the Garth Brooks concert and found this gem!! The house was amazing and in a great and charming neighborhood. The cobblestone road and the spaghetti statue added even more charm. Check in and out was seamless and the house was sparkling clean. The host provided so much information that we had no questions upon arrival. I only wish we got to stay longer!

Excellent property in an excellent location
We have rented this unit before and hope to again. It is as advertised - clean and spacious in a fantastic area. Close to so many good restaurants and shops in the Old Market, near the airport (but not too near), and just a great area. As stated, we will be back!

Wonderful Memories Made!!!
We visited Omaha last weekend with our family and had a wonderful time! The house was just right for our needs and the area was amazing! We loved meeting the people at Orsi's bakery and used it many times over the weekend! The large table in the kitchen was perfect for playing board games while cooking an Italian meal for the family! We laughed, cooked, made memories and just enjoyed being together as a family! All of this was made possible by the amazing house that we staying in. Working with the owner Mr. Jim was super easy and hassle free! OH and another thing, we loved having a garage especially since it stormed bad both nights we were there! Will certainly consider renting this house for sure for any future Omaha trips! Thank you from our family and God Bless!

Great getaway for 6 girlfriends
Perfect place for staying with college girlfriends. We didn't use the kitchen, but very comfortable and well-designed place for 6 women visiting for the weekend. We wanted a comfortable base to lounge that wasn't a hotel and this worked great! Easy coordination with owner. Easy and cheap to uber to downtown.

Great Omaha Option
The option of one unit for the entire family (multiple generations) was great. Kitchen allowed cooking meals, multiple bathrooms gave flexibility to schedule, multiple bedrooms accommodated individual family units with all areas wrapped in clean and comfortable setting.

Again Thank You!

Clean and comfortable
Everything was great except the kitchen supplies. It would be helpful to have measuring spoons, potato peeler, mixer, and more spoons. We were having a Thanksgiving dinner, however, so our cooking needs may have been more than the average guest.
We really liked that it was close to Old Market which was very fun.

A great home away from home to stay!
We were lucky to find your little house in a quiet ( except for the train) neighborhood. The location was perfect for our daily adventures, and the Old Market had good restaurants, and stores to browse in day or night. The bedroom downstairs was very comfy and quiet. Upstairs has a nice cozy living area and kitchen to seat all of us. Parking for our 2 extra cars was no problem. Thank you!

Wonderful place!
The owner's instructions are delightfully explicit which make them super easy to follow. He also offers a daily cleaning service for a fee which we took advantage of since we stayed for a week and didn't want to worry about 'keeping up' every day.
I loved the beautiful finishes: flooring, countertops, lighting, etc. We could tell he has spent extra care in redecorating the home and the effect is luxurious.
The warning about trains is spot-on: if you love trains like I do, you will appreciate and enjoy hearing them, otherwise (like my daughter), you will notice their passing for the few minutes it takes for that to occur--and it was a relatively rare distraction even for her.
We had fun walking to the train museum and the pizza place; everything else we needed was a 5-minute drive away in Old Town.
There were four adults-my three adult children and myself-and my four-year-old grandson. There is so much room that we never felt on top of one another. The kitchen/dining and the separated downstairs living room/tv areas were quite roomy and allowed us to congregate as a group in either place without feeling crowded. Otherwise, each adult had a separate room to retire to (my eldest took advantage of the 'cave'-a large storage area off the basement bedroom that had a fouton on the floor). My grandson stayed with me in the master suite. The home could easily have slept three more adults.
The price point for this home is truly a bargain. You will never find similar accommodations through any hotel that are as affordable--even with the daily maid service. (And she was an unexpected gem with a sweet personality and plenty of suggestions for places to go!)
I highly recommend this home. If and when I return to Omaha, I hope I'll be able to book it again!

Perfect location! Walk to The Old Market! 10 minutes to Zoo!
Property was perfect. 6 people in town for a trip to the zoo (which is 10 minutes away). Well stocked with anything that you would possibly need to cook. Extremely easy to get to, we came off I-29. Modern appliances. Wireless internet access. Owner very responsive. Walking distance to The Old Market with tons of eating, drinking, and shopping opportunities. My mother in law is already planning a girls weekend to stay at this property and shop Old Market :) We had our 6 month old daughter along and this was so much better than a hotel for her. Bedrooms are big. Each has their own bathroom. One car allowed in garage but that's no big deal because there is tons of on-street parking that is very close to the property. This wouldn't be the place for a bunch of young folks looking to party, which is good! It's a very quiet, well maintained neighborhood! I have nothing bad to say about this property and would say there is a very good chance we will be staying there again.

EXCELLENT
The house was perfect for our visit to Omaha. Three bedrooms each with a shower and large kitchen and living room perfect for our family of 6 to relax. Garage for our rental car was very convenient but parking for second car was not. It sure beat staying in two or three expensive motel rooms with no place for us all to get together. Will use it again if I need to visit granddaughter in Omaha.
