I stayed here with my husband and family at the end of May/beginning of June and could not have had a better experience! The property was immaculate, the dock and view of the lake were beautiful, and it truly felt like paradise there. Brian was very easy to communicate with and we could tell the property was well loved and cared for. My family and I will 100% be coming back to this place again and we encourage everyone to see the magic for themselves!

Wonderful place for a cottage getaway
We had an amazing weekend getaway with our family of 12. The place is clean, well equipped, and had plenty of indoor or and outdoor activities to keep everyone busy. We loved our stay and would love to visit again.
Brian was very kind and generous, he was also very quick to respond to our questions.
I highly recommend this cottage for your next family vacation.

The perfect getaway for six women of a certain age
It was clean, spacious, cozy and very well equipped with all the amenities. We each had our own bedroom to retreat to when we needed to, away from the others on the lovely dock or on the beautiful deck. The kitchen allows for lots of cooking, the tv room is comfortable and the dining room is perfect for larger gatherings. The grounds are well cared for and easily accessible. It was a memorable and fun time.

Great time
We had a great time at the cottage. It is a beautiful cottage with lots of space and great location. We unfortunately didn't have the best weather, but were still able to get outdoors and enjoy the water and outdooora at times. The cottage has all the amenities you will need. Hopefully one day we will be able to return.

Perfect cottage for a large family vacation
A perfect cottage for a large family. We were 11 adults aged 23 to 83. We were all able to find our own space if we wanted some privacy because the layout of the cottage. The shallow water made it easy to play water games and the fire pit was perfect for evening gatherings. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Brian’s cottage was absolutely perfect for myself and some friends to get away for the weekend. It’s exactly as listed, the view is breathtaking. It’s such a peaceful area with lots of activities to do. Brian always replied in a timely manner, and as a bonus we were pleasantly greeted by a bottle of wine and a lovely note. I would highly recommend staying at this cottage. You will not be disappointed!

Great stay
Great cottage for my wife, myself and our 3 year old son. Place was clean and had plenty of kids toys. The outside property and shallow water around the dock gave us piece of mind for our little guy playing outside. Overall great trip and hope to be back again soon. Thanks for letting us stay here.

Beautiful
We enjoyed the cottage very much. We especially likes the fact that there was plenty of seating for all of us (6 adults). The dining room was large as well & could seat 8-10 people comfortably. The view of Lake Rosseau is spectacular. We enjoyed the outside as much as the inside. Again, lots of places to sit & relax & enjoy the view.

Lovely lake front cottage.
Beautiful lake and cottage. The lake front cottage is beautifully situated with breath taking views in a quiet neighbourhood. The cottage has an open and an enclosed deck and a dock on the lake. There are plenty of outdoor equipment, 2 large BBQs, plenty of lounge chairs with large umbrellas on the dock with non-motorized activities. There are dining tables and chairs on the open and enclosed decks. The owner, Brian, has thought of everything to provide an enjoyable family stay. Inside the cottage was like the home away from home with all you need and want with games and an attic well equipped for kids stay.
Cottage is located close by to stores, restaurants and trails. Also, don’t miss the sun set view from the Huckleberry Rock Lookout, which is less than half hour drive away. Give time to climb the rock as the climb is steep but it is worth the climb.

Lake Rosseau is beautiful. We end up swimming on hot days. In case you forgot to bring anything there are stores around within a short drive.
Definitely would love to come back

The Old and the New
Another fantastic winter vacation on Lake Rosseau! I stayed at Brian's cottage in February of 2018 and enjoyed it so much that I returned with the entire family this year. Brian is a consummate host, and all the wonderful amenities the property has to offer are still in place with two notable improvements: Hi speed wifi capable of streaming Netflix is now included, along with a backup generator should the power ever go out.
Of course the kids love having wifi, but if you really want to give them a treat they might remember for a lifetime, wake them up before sunrise on clear crisp winter morning. Tell them to leave their iPhones in the bedroom and take them to the family room where they can sit in the large recliners facing the lake. Watch together as the first rays of sunshine blanket the pristine white surface with a warm orange glow. The blue jays will make an appearance, as will a feisty little squirrel - bigger than a chipmunk but smaller than a gray or black squirrel. Somehow they can dart around the top of the snow leaving scarcely a trace. The deer will make their presence known too as this is their home year round.
Of course Muskoka is wonderful in the summertime, but don't dismiss the magical gifts that winter brings. Embrace the cold with warm winter boots, warm gloves and snow pants, knowing that in a few months spring and summer will return. There is plenty of modern entertainment to be had at Brian's cottage, but take a moment to remind the younger family members about the history of the area. Show them the old fashioned snowshoes on the wall - no, those aren't tennis racquets, those went on your feet. Research the building itself. It is actually over 100 years old. Look together at the historic pictures placed around the cottage - the beautiful old church and the old wooden boats. Even the door stops are coils of hemp rope, a nod to the mariners of old. On our last morning here, sipping my coffee, watching the sun gradually cross the beautiful frozen lake, it occurred to me what makes this place so special: it is the perfect marriage of the old with the new.
Thank you Brian for sharing your beautiful property, allowing my family to experience another adventure of a lifetime.

Relaxing
The property is scenically located. It is secluded yet close to amenities. The cottage was decorated tastefully with unique and creative Christmas decorations. The living room was large with comfy couches, throws and a beautiful fire place to keep cozy. It opened out to a lovely deck. The dinning room was large and was able to handle our extended family. The kitchen had everything you needed and wanted, including a waffle maker, so don’t forget to take flour and maple syrup. The loft was exceptional with a large TV with Netflix, perfect to house the kids. The bedrooms were made ready to sleep with clean and fresh linen. We had a wonderful Christmas stay.
Most of all, Brian was available to reach at all times. We loved the cottage so much we booked it over the summer.

Over the Top Muskoka Experience
This modernized place was scrupulously maintained, and comfortable for our family. We enjoyed the view, safe harbor and beach, updated bathrooms, kitchen and property. The comfort of this air conditioned home, its modern conveniences including; wifi, standby generator, awesome dock, water system, comfortable beds, modern laundry, and responsive host, made for an incredible vacation.
Our family is filled with good memories, and great stories, we will enjoy for our lifetimes. The grandchildren loved the outdoors and occasional screen time. The adults were roasting marshmallows until midnight or played cards in the screened porch. Our neighbors were friendly and shared privacy and trust. An incredible find for anyone looking to make great family memories.

Beautiful cottage!
I stayed here with a group of friends including 2 toddlers. This beautiful home was situated on a quiet beautiful lake front property. It had everything we needed including all the indoor and outdoor plates/utensils for our group, and indoor activities to do on our rainy weekend. We were most impressed with how child friendly the place was with tons of toys for our toddlers, baby gates, bed rails and a crib. Brian was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We will all definitely want to come back here again!
