Located at 335 East 1st Street, our property has convenient access to local amenities and is just 400 steps to the beach access.

We have fantastic beach views both inside and out. Balconies galore with ample seating so you can enjoy the ocean views and soak in the beach air.,

Our house has a fenced-in private backyard pool with outside shower and grill. Play on the beach and then lounge in the pool with the frosty beverage and/or grilled delicacy of your choice.

The reversed floor plan has views for everyone to enjoy. Sit on the beautiful front deck and enjoy the sunrise, beach, waves, dolphins, birds and unforgettable sunsets. Watch your family play on the beach while you relax on the deck.

The upper level features a gourmet stainless steel kitchen with tons of granite counter top work space... perfect for multiple cooks and family buffets. There is a large dining table that seats eight . Counter seating for four more and a table for six on the deck. The master bedroom and bath are just off the beautifully decorated living area. The master shower features custom floor to ceiling tile work with dual shower heads. Dining and living spaces have huge ocean views and are complimented by large ocean facing porches with porch swings. Perfect for enjoying sunrise with that morning coffee or our famous sunset with your favorite glass of wine.

Our lower level features a family room perfect for kids and teens. Flat screen TVs with DVD are ready for your movie nights. WIFI is simple and fast.

There are three bedrooms on the lower level, each with its own private bath. There is also a cozy bunk room with 3 built in bunks that your kids will love. Out on the large front porch you will find two wonderful swings for gentle shaded relaxation.

Ocean Isle Beach is the perfect place to enjoy biking, jogging, kayaking or your favorite summer reading. Our island is southern facing which is perfect for shelling!

Located between historic Wilmington, NC to the North and the bustling entertainment of Myrtle Beach, SC to the South, these attractions are just 30 minutes away. Just over the bridge on the mainland are shops, restaurants, grocery stores, movie theater and miniature golf.

There are twelve golf courses within 10 miles. Drive 30 miles south to Myrtle Beach where you will find over 90 golf courses, numerous restaurants including the outlet malls, specialty shops, and plenty to do! 30 miles north and you're in historic Wilmington with lovely downtown shopping and restaurants to explore.

We loved our stay here. The best part of the house is the top front porch with a beautiful view of the ocean and even when raining, you could sit there and eat or relax. The pool was an added asset. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Only negative was the fact linens were not provided.and having little children,more than one bathtub would have been nice.

Thorough enjoyable. House was comfortable, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool a lot .The only issue was a blender that had no rubber gasket and was gross and moldy where the rubber gasket should have been. Overall a very nice experience and I would rent it again.

Beach house was great for our family. Great view of ocean and great amenities in house. Our family of 9 relly enjoyed our stay at Change of Pace. Two different coffee pots and adequate supplies in kitchen were a great help.

My family and I loved our time in this beautiful home. The pool area was wonderful, but our favorite part was sitting on the deck and feeling the breeze while looking at the ocean. The home had everything we needed for a stay. We would definitely stay in this home again.

We loved our stay at OIB! This house was perfect for our family group of 11. Kids had space to hang out and adults enjoyed mornings and evenings on the porch with the ocean breeze and beautiful views. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and new furniture was comfy. Walk to beach was close and pool and outdoor shower were nice to have at the house.

We have been coming to Ocean Isle for a few yrars mow with family and meeting up with friends and their families. The island is perfect for relaxing and has the best feel. Change of Pace was great! Even though its a second row it has a beautiful unobstructed view from the top level, and the house looked even better in person thanks to some upgrades and new furniture. Lisa was quick to respond anytime we texted and when we had an air conditioning issue she sent someone out within a half hour and it was promptly fixed. We would definitely stay again!!

Great house with an abundance of comfortable living space! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our family. The location of the house is very close to the ocean with the beach access just a few doors down. The ocean view from the house is wonderful!! A great time was had by all!

Love the house and location to beach access! Also the porches are the best with amazing view of the ocean! Lisa was awesome to work with!! The only thing I would suggest is black out curtains in each bedroom b/c the neighbors outside lights are bright and houses are very close. Also, when the sun comes up, the room is lit up. The dryer had some rust spots inside door. These are minor when evaluating the whole experience. Great week!

I vacation every year on Ocean Isle. I bring my two adult children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren. We loved the view, close access to the beach and the pool!!! This house was fantastic. It was very clean and all the furniture and bed coverings were clean and looked new. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We tried to book it again for next year but the weeks we could come we’re already booked!

This is our second time staying at Change of Pace. The location is perfect, home is beautiful and clean, and the pool is great! Lisa is wonderful to work with, very thorough with details and easy to get in contact with if anything comes up during your stay. We’ve stayed at several homes in OIB and this is our absolute favorite! We will definitely be back!

The house was great for a family of 12 with seven adults and 5 children. It is well equipped with everything you need. Easy access to the beach and the view from the front porch is great. You can see the ocean and even some dolphins. Had a great time the house was perfect. Thanks

My family has been coming to OIB for over 40 years. As our family has grown, we had to take the leap out of our long term small beach cottage rental and book a larger house. We are so glad we chose this beautiful home! We loved the ocean view from the upstairs porch and the easy access to the beach. The furniture was incredibly comfortable, never had any issues with water pressure/temp with multiple people using the many bathrooms and our little ones LOVED the pool. So many memories made and look forward to future stays!

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful property. Owner was responsive and the house and location is beautiful. With a large family we loved the kitchen size and that the house was better appointed than many other VRBOs we’ve stayed in. The room with the bunk beds is really just for two kids but there are plenty of other beds for lots of family. The only thing that wasn’t readily apparent in the listing was that we had to bring our own linens. That was fine but was’t discovered till close to time to leave and would have been a problem if we were already traveling. That said the home is beautiful, there are great views of the beach from the large decks, the porch swings are great, and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

Let me start by saying this was by far the cleanest rental property I've stayed in ANYWHERE. The layout was perfect, furnishings were acceptable and the kitchen more than well stocked. We enjoyed ocean views from the top deck and hanging out around the pool. Parking was plentiful for our large group converging from all across the country. Access to the property was super easy and the owner was very responsive via text messaging before, during and after our stay.

The house was more than we expected. The entire family loved it. The view of the ocean was amazing from our porch and even the kitchen and living room. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could think of. Lisa the owner was very responsive to all our needs, which was not many! We truly had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back!

My family and I stayed here last week with two other families and we had such a great time. The house was perfect - great location, plenty of space, and CLEAN. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the middle of town. Also, having the pool was awesome. We loved our stay and plan to come back next year. Thank you!!

"Change of Pace" is an incredible property. Great layout, with stunning views of ocean from kitchen, top porch and living room. Kitchen is all you could want and more. The outdoor area was amazing for our family. Gas grill, picnic table, outdoor shower and beautiful pool (which was cleaned by a service during our stay, a nice bonus). All of this, and it's a 3 minute walk to access beautiful Ocean Isle Beach. We had a group of 3 families, with 4 children under 7 between us. Hard to envision a better setup for a large family, or a group of family/friends. Our stay was flawless, and communication from owner was prompt and helpful at all times. We certainly hope to return!
