Great location.
Good supply of kitchen necessities, linens, cleaners etc.
Needs some maintenance (bathroom door hinge and lock) but nothing that impacted the stay.
Cute dog!

House needs a bunch of upgrades. Kitchenware and linen - low end. Dishwasher very difficult to operate - on the verge of breaking it seemed. Nothing in the way of spices provided for the kitchen. It's nice when travelling not to have to buy a lot of spices, oil for meal and then have to leave the stuff behind. Location is great.

|Other than the drive thru Cameron Lake closure, the drive to Tofino was beautiful. Originally had booked for ourselves and my son's family. Unfortunately they couldn't make it. So it was a quiet time. Lots of bike riding - enjoyed Long Beach, Comber Beach, and a visit to Euclulet. Down town Tofino was fun, just a quick walk from the VRBO home.

The place was super clean and well maintained. It was a great location close to town. I had no issues checking in or out and communication with the host was easy and clear.

The highlights of this home are the close proximity to town, the large living spaces and the harbor view.

The property is in desperate need of an upgrade, furniture and furnishings are in poor state.

We had a great stay and the apartment is much bigger than it looks in the photos. I actually don’t think the photos do it justice, it is really lovely. It was perfect for our group of 4 adults and a child, plenty of space and amazing location and view. My only negative is I wasn’t aware there would be a stuffed cougar / elk on the wall which my 3 year old was slightly scared of and tbh not to my taste at all. I do feel these should be in the photos so people know what to expect. Other than that I can’t fault it.

This property was amazing! I couldn't get a sense online where it was situated in comparison to activities, restaurants, shops & beaches. You feel like you're in the country with the beautiful vistas, the quiet & plentiful hummingbirds, but you're literally around the corner from the start of the main hustle & bustle. Fresh crab, liquor, coffee, restaurants & charters are all within 5-15 mins. walking distance. Having worked in the restaurant & hotel industry for 30+yrs, this property has it all! The beds are SO comfortable, linens are luxurious & towels & pillows are plentiful too. The property is well thought out & no detail forgotten. There were 5 adults, 50-70yrs old and lots of our own space. If I were ever here with more than just my husband & myself, I would stay again. No hesitation! Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

There were nice touches to the property and although we had difficulty with the lock John and his neighbors were most helpful. We certainly enjoyed the property and our stay.

This is an awesome spot. Great views off the front deck of the harbor and mountains, well equipped kitchen, and we made use of the BBQ in the backyard as well. Furthermore, it's located very close to town and things to do. I named the taxidermy mountain lion Martin.

The beds were good and the pillows in the master were very hard along with a blooming tree that was beautiful and had a really strong smell.

Close to the town centre and shopping. Vey comfrotable place with BBQ and sun deck (fortunately we had a few hours of sun during our stay).

Thanks for having us, John. The house was perfect for our family of 6. Great location in the town, close to all the area has to offer!

There were four of us that had a 3-night stay at John's property. The accommodations were very spacious and bright, lots of natural light and two upper outdoor spaces, one of which had a great view. The kitchen was well-equipped and it was a very short walk to some of the best restaurants Tofino has to offer.

This was a great spot in a perfect location to explore Tofino and surrounding area. There is lots of space for six people and we are sorry that it rained so we couldn’t take advantage of the decks. The kitchen is fully equipped, nice big dining area for gathering and a comfy sitting area. Views from the front windows are glorious!

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this property. The owners, who live below, were very helpful with any questions we had. It's a short walking distance to town and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay. I was there with my 4 adult children and we cooked most dinners in. The kitchen was better equipped than most short term rentals and the place was very clean. We also enjoyed the 2 decks front and back with a nice view to the ocean from the front. It was a short walk/bike ride to town. Not so great was the 3rd bedroom which had been fitted out with bunk beds. As I was the single person in the group, that's where I ended up and it was uncomfortable (little head room, no reading light or bedside table). Some effort to make it work for adults as well as children would be good. The other beds were comfortable. The furniture etc. were quite dated. Thanks for a nice stay!

Had a great time here over August long weekend. House was very clean when we got there and had all the amenities. Huge backyard (sadly we didn't get to do much with it since it rained the whole weekend), big kitchen table, comfy beds, and a cozy living room to hang out in at night. Super close to surf shops (just down the street) and awesome views of Lone Cone Mountain across the water. Could stand at the kitchen window and stare out forever at that view. Can walk into town for food (~20 min), and about 10 minute drive to Chesterman Beach and the original Tacofino truck. The host, John, was very accommodating and quick to reply if we had any questions. Would love to go back!

The property is nice but poorly managed. Living room TV audio did not work. The crockery is in poor shape. Most of the dining plates and tea/coffee cups are chipped and need replacement. The back yard is full of weeds. Some of Patio chairs are broken. Patio screen door mesh is damaged and the other side does not have a screen door.

The house was accurately described online and a very easy booking process. Very well appointed with plenty of kitchen gadgets and crockery and lots of space for the 6 of us. Tofino was everything we had hoped and the house made it feel like home from home. Thank-you

John’s house is spacious and clean and in a great location in Tofino! We are a family of 5 and had so much room to spread out. We walked each morning to Tofino Coffee Roasters for delicious coffee and pastry. The incredible views of the water and mountains from the deck are such a treat! We highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Tofino!

A beautiful space, centrally located. We enjoyed our stay there immensely.

Upon arrival the kitchen required a good hour to clean up. Dishes had been put back on the shelf dirty, the refrigerator was stocked with left over food of unknown age. The oven was filthy. The pots and pans had to be cleaned before use.
The carpets are badly stained and there are finger marks and dirt on the walls. When I discussed this with the owner his response was that the carpets were 30 years old.
The linen and towels were clean although the towels were old and had seen better days. The bathrooms were clean.
It’s unfortunate with a little housekeeping this would be a great family accommodation.

Very clean, well organized house with lots of room and outside space. Light switches were a little challenging to find and the kitchen lights didn’t seem to work. Awesome location and phenomenal view!
