This is my first negative review and we rent houses all the time! The cover photo showing the view must be from 20+ years ago, the yard is completely overgrown and that view doesn’t exist as shown. The entire home is in a state of disrepair. The first thing you see as you approach is a broken garage door, the deck, stairs and siding have all the paint peeling, rot concerns, etc. the wood floor inside is sticky and partially stripped. The bathrooms smell like a dirty dishrag and the shower curtain is full of mold. The primary bedroom’s bed is propped up by a stack of boards on one side. I had to soak the coffee pot overnight to get it clean, the walk to the hot tub is on rickety planks where you need to navigate the overgrowth. The owner used an outdoor large pressure cooker or fryer on his deck directly above our door, so it was a major safety concern coming and going on one of the days. When we entered on the first day, the owner was suddenly knocking on the door and pretty much insisted on a walkthrough, it was odd and not needed. There are 2 others door to the outside deck (didn’t use given the state of disrepair) and one other door down the stairs in the laundry. All were unlocked. There was another pocket door in the laundry that was locked from the other side but you could see a bed in it. It was creepy and unnerving. There is no door or gate at the top of the stairs making it hazardous. Overall this was a very expensive, uncomfortable stay. I want a refund!!

We had a great time staying at the property. The house is old but in good condition with all the amenities you would want. The beach is shared with just two other homes on the row, but we didn't see any one else while we were out there. It's not a "lounge and tan" kind of beach as there is no sand, but it's great for the dog, and puttering in the long and shallow area and perfect for paddle boarding. We would definitely book again for a stay in Tofino.

The place was cozy and tidy. The place we stayed in has a deck close to the water which was nice. Kevin was a great host. The only issue we had was that there was no light in the kitchen.

good view, parking a plus and just a short walk into town

Nature, but the grass & trees need to be trimmed a little bit. Overall, I love the place so peaceful.

We spent a restful, quiet, very comfortable 5 days in this lakeside home. Our teens enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards on the lake and we enjoyed walking nearby trails and forays into the nearby Bellingham area. Most of all we enjoyed lounging and taking in our lake view from the light and airy 2nd floor living room, kitchen and deck. Janice dealt quickly and effectively with any questions and helpfully let us know that we could arrive early. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Good location. Spacious with 3 bedrooms (2 were small) and a large kitchen dining and living room. While beds and counters were clean, the space had not been dusted in a long time. Dishes did not appear very clean and were very old. Frying pans were well past there life expectancy. Dish towels had a suspicious odor.

Amazing place! Loved the stay in Tofino! Cheers Kevin

The waterfront location within walking distance from town makes this a great place to stay. The house is spacious and there are several outside spaces, including a spa and firepit. Kevin is a welcoming host.

Everything as advertised. Kevin is a good host.

The property and house are absolutely beautiful. The owner provided cable tv, board & kids games, and robes to use walking down to the GORGEOUS waterfront hot tub. The only thing that could improve this property would be better communication from the owner. Rather than trying to give verbal instructions to guests upon check in (which can result in things being misunderstood and more miscommunications), a guestbook or written set of information in the home would have been appreciated. It would have made our stay in Tofino even more wonderful.

Large open space inside, clean and comfortable. Large property with private beach and secluded hot tub. Friendly host. Located close to town, but tucked away.

Was a perfect place with everything we needed and we appreciated that we could bring our 2 chocolate labs.

Very enjoyable stay. Hottub was a treat.

Maintenance and cleanliness could be improved. It had minimal but acceptable amenities, the hot tub was nice but there aren’t any extra towels so it’s a bit awkward reusing bath towels. The location is very attractive, it’s a short walk into town and the views of the bay are nice.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed and more. The hot tub just steps from the ocean was great! Our host was prompt, friendly and even offered to bring us fresh crab!

An easy 15 walk into the village of Tofino with it’s shops and restaurants but the home’s location on a tidal beach is quiet (except for the occasional seaplane taking off) and private. It’s a great home for a family with games for the kids and a wraparound deck to admire the view. There are two bathrooms but only one has a shower, the other a jacuzzi tub. It wasn’t a problem as there were only the two of us.
Kevin is a very responsive host, a Tofino native with a wealth of local knowledge. He was there to welcome us and give us the tour. There were a couple of housekeeping issues that he took care of immediately for us.
We enjoyed sitting down by the beach watching the full moon rise. The hot tub was the perfect vantage point for watching eagles fly overhead and shore birds hunting on the beach.

Such a beautiful spot. The kids loved exploring at low tide and it’s walking distance from all amenities Tofino offers. It was clean and beautiful and you can’t really beat the view.

Hot tub on the beach was amazing. The place needs some TLC. A really good cleaning and some new kitchen supplies. Kevin was helpful and knew a great deal about Tofino which made him a great host.

It was our first time staying in Tofino and we were there on a fishing expedition among friends. Kevin was very good at communicating with us and answered all questions in a timely manner. He gave us some good fishing pointers and we had a great time. This would be the first property we check out if we decide to go to Tofino again. Thanks again Kevin.

The overall property was in decent shape and was as advertised. For the price you got pretty much what you paid for. Kevin the owner was a good host and made sure we had what we needed. The views were lovely and the location was really great. A 10 minute walk to downtown with all the amenities. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower and tub combo and another with a soaker tub. There are a few toys and games which was helpful for the kids.
The weather was not very cooperative so we didn’t get to use other items on the property like boating, or fishing and as the hot tub was right on the ocean the wind didn’t make it very pleasant. I think if the weather was decent it would have been a spectacular experience playing on the beach.
We would stay again.

Overall, this property was good however for the price we paid, we expected more. The location was amazing, an easy walk to town, and beautiful ocean views from the huge windows and deck. The hot tub and fire pit were also great. The kitchen was disappointing- well worn and in need of some upgrades for sure- didn’t need to be luxurious but it was very under stocked with what I would consider the basic pantry items one would expect in a rental.
Overall it felt like we were provided with just enough of everything and had to be sparing. No extra towels, bedding or blankets. When I’m on vacation I don’t want to be constantly texting the owner asking for things and wished more had been there for our use. The fireplace was temperamental and didn’t work most of the week. Overall, it was a beautiful location , quiet and peaceful, but for the price, I hoped for more.

This was the perfect spot for an off-season Tofino trip. The big bay windows for storm watching and the hot tub overlooking the ocean made this VRBO ideal for our little group of four. Definitely would recommend it!

We had a great time!
We felt relaxed and at peace in this clean, rustic, charming property. It was very close to town and the beach was at our footsteps.
My family and I would definitely visit again.

A beautiful property. The place was even more spacious than it looked in the photos and had an amazing water view from the living room.
A hot tub was a must for us and Kevin did not disappoint: it was nestled on the shore of the bay just a few feet from high tide. It’s a bit of a cold walk/run back to the house but it was worth it!
We would love to return here with friends some time.

Kevin’s large and comfortable home provided everything two couples needed and then some. On a tour of the property, Kevin made sure we knew how the hot tub operated, where we could watch the otters and eagles, etc. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

We loved our stay and Kevin was a great host. He had nice robes that we could wear out to the hot tub overlooking the bay. Lid needs replacing but tub itself was great. We cooked most of our meals there as it was better food than we saw at the few restaurants there. Lots of games in case the weather is bad- we were very lucky in that regard. Warm and sunny both days. Overall an enjoyable experience and the fresh crab delightful- thanks Kevin!

I stayed at Kevin's with my sister and elderly parents for 3 nights and it was perfect. The space was spotless, thoughtfully equipped (complete rain gear and rain boots for wandering the mud flats) and Kevin's offer of freshly caught crab for dinner was a highlight. If you are looking for "fancy", this isn't it. If you want to feel 'at home', don't hesitate to book with Kevin.

Really enjoyed this property! Secluded, quiet, with lots of room. The house handle all six of us. The hot tub was especially wonderful by the water. Would come again.

What a great getaway to Tofino. This property is located in a quiet area close to Campbell St. The weather was unbelievable so we were able to take advantage of being outside most of the time. Kevin was helpful and available.

Got exactly what we booked. No surprises! Kevin was a great host, responsive and flexible. He was very thoughtful. We have kids and he gave the kids some lollipops. Something he didn’t have to do but very nice he thought of the kids. Our kids were sad to leave. He lent us his kayaks which was a plus. We didn’t have to go and rent them somewhere else which would be additional costs and time having to book reservations etc. Easily walkable to city center but still be on the water and tucked away into a quite section. My husband and I were able to enjoy a glass of vine in the hot tub overlooking the inlet. And the views!!! What more can I say! Booking this property, the views and the location will definitely not disappoint. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Tofino.
Thanks Kevin for sharing with us your little piece of paradise!
